What is your realisation? You write your realisation, what you have realised about Krsna. That is required. It is not passive, always you should be active. Whenever you find time, write. Never mind two lines, four lines, but you write your realisations, sravanam-kirtanam. Writing or offering prayers, glories, this is one of the functions of a Vaisnava. International Society for Krishna Consciousness Founder-Acarya - His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

Persons like all of the Gosvamis wrote so many books, Visvanatha Cakravarti, and all the acaryas wrote books, and still I am writing books. Similarly, also my disciples will write. So any self-realized soul can write unlimited books without deviating from the original ideas.

- Srila Prabhupada's Letter to: Satsvarupa -- Mayapur 28 February, 1972 All our men should write. Otherwise how we shall know that he has understood the philosophy?

Writing means sravanam, kirtanam. Sravanam means hearing from the authority and again repeat it. This is our business, sravanam kirtanam visnoh [SB 7.5.23], about Vishnu, not for any politician or any other man.

- Srila Prabhupada's Arrival Conversation in Car & Room -- June 20, 1975, Los Angeles In a talk in Los Angeles, in 1972, Prabhupada told everyone, ‘Realisation means you should write,

every one of you. You are hearing, but you have to write also. Then writing becomes sravanam, remembering what you have heard from your spiritual master.'

MOTHERS & MASTERS Preach Now, Varëäçrama-dharma Now

Mothers & Masters presents traditionalist arguments for the direction of the Kåñëa consciousness movement, proposing that we should take up Çréla Prabhupäda’s mandate to establish varëäçrama-dharma rather than capitulate to the norms and ideologies of secular culture. Particularly discussed are gender roles, parental responsibilities, feminist follies, and some of Çréla Prabhupäda’s more controversial teachings, such as those concerning early marriage, divorce, and polygamy.

Topics Include: - The Direction of Krsna Consciousness Movement - Devotees need Varëäçrama-dharma - ISKCON's Disconnect with Varëäçrama - Çréla Prabhupäda's Outlook Was Not Mundane - Slaughterhouse-education and Child Labour - Women as Leaders - Fulfilling Women's Potential - As Mothers - Homemakers and Working Wives

- Discouraging Divorce Amoung Devotees - Why Çréla Prabhupäda Opposed Feminism - Respect for Women in Indian Culture - The Transformation of Women's Roles - Duties of Married Men - Sex, Dissatisfaction, and Family Decline - Why Women Need Protection

and many more.. Book Reviews:

A must-read for every member of our ISKCON Society. If we simply ignore this book as irrelevant or fanatical, our tendency as a religious movement will no doubt be to adopt the spirit of modernism, thus inviting calamity upon our spiritual progress, both individually and collectively.

Phalini Devi Dasi (ACBSP), India/USA

I agree with every line of this wonderful book Women: Masters or Mothers? In ISKCON, I am always looking for women who can inspire us with their personal examples of being good mothers and at the same time maintaining good sädhana. I find the actions of such mothers speaking louder than the voice of the women sitting in front of the microphone and delivering lectures.

Çré Vaàçédäsa Bäbäjé

Çréla Vaàsédäsa Bäbäjé was a great Vaiñëava who although physically present in this world, had little communication with it. His hair and beard were uncut, matted, and dishevelled. He almost never bathed, and his eyes looked wild. He wore only a loin cloth, and nothing more. This book introduces us to a personality of such extraordinary, inscrutable character that we simply offer him obeisance and beg for his mercy.

The Story of Rasikänanda

Along with his guru, Çréla Çyämänanda Paëòita, he inundated North Orissa and surrounding districts in waves of Kåñëa-prema that are still flowing today. Lekha-mäla With over one and half million books in print in over twenty languages, Bhakti Vikäsa Swami is one of the most prolific and published writers on Kåñëa consciousness in the world today. Viveka-çatakam A Hundred Verses of Wisdom

This book is a trilogy of Śrīla Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī's writings which were so far unknown to the public. In the longest of the three works, Viveka-śatakam, the author repeatedly expresses his ardent desire to go to Vṛndāvana. In Caitanya-citrāṣṭakam and Nityānandāṣṭakam he delightfully employs selected words of unalloyed ardour for his worshipable Lords. Typical of Śrīla Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī, his devotional ecstasy as if leaps from his heart into his words and therefrom to the heart of the sympathetic reader.
