the department combines multidisciplinary international relations study with area expertise.the programs equip students with the analyticalskills to capture the complexity of global andregional politics, and with practical skills requiredon the job market. our faculty members are trained in international relations, political science, law, economics, sociology and history. in 2015, Ceu ranked 29th among the world’s universities in the Quacquarelli symonds (Qs) Politics and international studies subject ranking.

our graduates join a network of over 1,000 alumni. the majority of master’s graduates, who hail from more than 70 countries, work in inter-national and non-governmental organizations, international business, political consultancy, and journalism. Doctoral graduates hold teachingand/or research positions in academia or work in the private sector.

MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (One Year)

this program provides students with a foundation in international relations, as well as exposure to questions relating to the study of international security and the global economy. international relations training is combined with regional expertise in the study of the european union, east asia, the middle east, and the post-soviet space. The program offers an innovative, dynamic learning environment with small class sizes and an interdisciplinary curriculum.

MASTER OF ARTS IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS (twO Years)

the program is intended for students who have graduated from a three-year under-graduate program and would like to proceed with their studies more thoroughly, pos-sibly with a view of a preparing themselves for a doctoral degree.

MASTER OF ARTS IN GLObAL EcONOMIc RELATIONS (One Year)

the program integrates training in international relations with economics. it provides students with the knowledge and analytical skills to prepare and evaluate economic policies and strategic decision-making in a global setting. this program is fee-based only.

DOcTOR OF PhILOSOPhy IN POLITIcAL ScIENcE — INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS TRAck

the doctoral program, operated by the Doctoral school of Political science, Public Policy, and international relations, prepares students for careers in research and university-level teaching. its curriculum includes international relations theory, international security, and international political economy.
