Our Mission: The mission of the IRC Survivor Service Center (SSC) is to provide culturally competent, comprehensive services to refugee, foreign national, and immigrant survivors of war, violence, displacement, and trauma. The SSC provides trauma-informed, person-centered, strengths-based services that promote health and safety, inspire confidence, respects choice, and assists the survivor towards self-determination as they become active members of their community. Services are provided in coordination with the greater IRC office and in partnership with local service providers.

The IRC Survivor Service Center The vision of the IRC Survivor Service Center (SSC) is to restore safety, dignity, and hope to survivors of trauma and to support them in becoming productive participants in the community.

Therapeutic Services - Phoenix and Tucson The Wellness Program provides culturally and linguistically appropriate, and trauma-informed psychotherapy, and psycho-education. The therapeutic services are conducted by counselors licensed in Arizona and IRC clinical therapist interns in office, home and community settings. The Wellness program also provide trainings to staff of mainstream behavioral health agencies and community organizations on request.

Specialized Services for Certified Survivors of Torture - Phoenix and Tucson

IRC assists survivors of torture by providing intensive, comprehensive case management in the areas of social, legal, psychological/psychiatric and health/medical.

The Victim Advocate Program - Phoenix

The Victim Advocate program at the IRC provides comprehensive case management services to all foreign nationals who are a victim of crime. Services include assistance with filing victim compensation claims, crisis counseling, legal advocacy and referrals to pro bono attorneys, assistance with accessing benefits, referrals to both medical and psychiatric services, interpretation services, referrals to emergency housing, and safety planning.

ALERT Anti-Trafficking Program - Phoenix

The ALERT program at the IRC assists foreign national victims of human trafficking by providing comprehensive case management in the areas of social, legal, psychological/psychiatric and health/medical. ALERT works in partnership with local law enforcement and The Department of Homeland Security in providing safety and security for identified victims. Intensive Case ManagementPhoenix and Tucson

The IRC’s Intensive Case Management Program assists with the long term successful integration of refugees and immigrants in their new communities. This program focuses on providing supportive case management by working with a team to connect clients to needed education, services, and resources necessary to gain self-sufficiency.

Asylum Seeking Families Program - Phoenix and Tucson

The IRC’s Asylum Seeking Family program assists with both long and short term services to immigrant families seeking asylum. In the short-term IRC assists with emergency response activities for family reunification including providing assistance with basic needs, interpretation, short-term housing, and travel coordination. Long term IRC provides comprehensive case management services to families seeking asylum. These services include connecting client to social, legal, psychological/psychiatric and health/medical services.
