ABSTRACT

The home visit is an integral part of community health nursing. A well-equipped, well designed community bag can help a nurse to deliver skilled care to the clients in the family. We, (Jansan Mathew, Joshan, Renjith Joseph) the alumni of Laxmi memorial college of Nursing, Mangalore took this issue as a challenge and planned to design a new version of community health nursing bag. The bag which we designed is a shoulder bag and the main specialty of the bag is the sterile compartment of the bag can be taken out and autoclaved. So the bag induced infection can be reduced. Bag is easy to carry, well designed and having a modern appearance which is made up of highly durable materials. The detailed description of the bag is given in the article. Keywords: community bag, home visit INTRODUCTION “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” Mahatma Gandhi Changes are inevitable in our life. Change is the only constant and it happens to replace the older ideas or customs with more innovative and flexible ones. Nursing is a field which is longing for innovation and community health nursing lying close to the heart of the public; needs to keep a pace with the modern technology. A well planned, well designed and well equipped community bag is necessary to provide the comprehensive care to the people in need. But alas, the bag we are accustomed to is the same old traditional bag which makes the nurses feel awkward to carry it.

Appearance of the Bag The new bag designed by us overcomes the limitations of the conservative bag. Old fashioned look and the lack of durability make the student nurses reluctant to use it. To give a more professional look it was designed as laptop bag. The bag is black in color and made up of nylon which is found to be the most durable. This design gives a good stylish look to the bag; another important feature is that the bag is water-resistant. The new community bag could be carried on both the shoulders so that the weight is balanced and equally distributed. Organ Transplantation

Sanjeev Sharma* Shimla College of Nursing, HP, India

ABSTRACT

Organ transplantation is the moving of an organ starting with one body then onto the next or from a giver site to another area on the individual's own particular body, to supplant the beneficiary's harmed or truant organ. Organs or potentially tissues that are transplanted inside a similar individual's body are called autografts. Transplants that are as of late performed between two subjects of similar species are called allografts. Allografts can either be from a living or cadaveric source. Keywords: allograft, autograft, isograft, transplantation INTRODUCTION Organs that can be transplanted are the heart, kidneys, liver, lungs, pancreas, digestive tract, and thymus. Tissues incorporate bones, ligaments (both alluded to as musculoskeletal unions), cornea, skin, heart valves, nerves and veins. Around the world, the kidneys are the most generally transplanted organs, trailed by the liver and after that the heart. Cornea and musculoskeletal unions are the most usually transplanted tissues; these dwarf organ transplants by more than ten times. Organ contributors might live, mind dead, or dead through circulatory death. Tissue might be recouped from givers who kick the bucket of circulatory passing, and additionally of cerebrum demise – up to 24 hours past the end of pulse.[1] Not at all like organs, most tissues (except for corneas) can be saved and stockpiled up to five years, which means they can be "saved money". Transplantation raises various bioethical issues, including the meaning of death, when and how assent ought to be given for an organ to be transplanted, and installment for organs for transplantation. Other moral issues

incorporate transplantation tourism and all the more comprehensively the financial setting in which organ acquirement or transplantation may happen. A specific issue is organ trafficking. Some organs, for example, the mind, can't be transplanted. Transplantation solution is a standout amongst the most difficult and complex ranges of advanced medication. A portion of the key zones for therapeutic administration are the issues of transplant dismissal, amid which the body has an insusceptible reaction to the transplanted organ, perhaps prompting to transplant disappointment and the need to quickly expel the organ from the beneficiary. Whenever possible, transplant dismissal can be decreased through serotyping to decide the most suitable benefactor beneficiary match and using immunosuppressant drugs. TYPES OF TRANSPLANT Autograft Autografts are the transplant of tissue to a similar individual. Some of the time this is finished with surplus tissue, tissue that can
