City and Conference

● The host city

As Spain’s largest city and as Europe’s third largest, Madrid will be proudly

welcoming delegates from all over the world for URJCmun. A vibrant

cultural scene, an outstanding cuisine and a sparkling weather makes the

Spanish capital one of the most complete and entertaining host cities.

Madrid is easily reachable from the vast majority of European capitals and

from several other cities outside the continent, acting as a hub between

Europe and America.

● The venue

The campus of Móstoles, in the south of Madrid, will host the 2020

Conference. All these sessions will be held within its facilities. The university

complex includes a magnificent library, teaching and research laboratories

and a Technology Support Centre.

International Pack

● Public Transport Card

The public transport system of Madrid is one of the biggest and most

efficient in the world with an outstanding infrastructure that expands all

across the city of Madrid and beyond.

International delegates can order a Public Transport Card which they will be

able to use not only within the city of Madrid, but within the entire Madrid

region and in all its public transports network. The Card has unlimited

validity for one entire month and can be used for future visits to Madrid.

It will not be necessary for your delegation to order your own ones,

URJCmun can provide you with them upon request and hand them on

arrival.

- For under 25 years old = 24 € x 1 unlimited month

- For + 25 years old = 76 € x 1 unlimited month

Or single-use tickets, which could low this price to 40€

● Conference fee

− The Conference fee is 25€ and includes:

− Training sessions: MUN Training + URJCmun [Mock] − Diplomatic experience − Conferences regarding the committees' topics − Rules of Procedure − Other conferences and talks

• Social Events

URJCmun offers its participants the possibility of attending to two amazing

social events on the nights of Tuesday 6th at 22hrs and Friday 7th at 00hrs.

The Social Events Package will amount to only 20€, including the two

parties: a special theme party on Thursday, with one drink per person; and

the final gala on the last day of the Model, with 2 drinks per person.

If you wish so, you could purchase the tickets for the parties separately,

following these prices:

- Special theme party: 10€ (includes 1 drink)

- Final Gala: 15€ (includes 2 drinks)

● Accommodation

This handbook´s section shows URJCmun’s favorite lodging choice, located

in the heart of Madrid.

The accommodation suggested by URJCmun will cover five nights from the

4th to the 8th of February. However, extra nights before or after the

Conference can be booked upon request.

URJCmun offers a Lunch Package for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and

Friday. Delegates can have lunch at the university’s canteen, being able to

choose among different menus, including a vegetarian option.

Each meal has a cost of 6 € including first and second course, bread, water

and dessert. The total Lunch Package sums a total of 24€

● Social Events

URJCmun celebrates three different Social Events. We offer a Social Event

Package for the Themed and Farewell Party for 20 €.

Summary

Here you can find the total amount per delegate including 5-night hotel,

unlimited transport card, the conference fee, lunch during the Conference

and Social Events. We’ve selected the Petit Palace because is in the City

Centre, nevertheless, if you want to stay at the Hotel Ciudad de Mostoles

there’s no initial need to get the Transport Card, although you would need

to pay single ticket when going to the City Centre (specially on Thursday’s

and Friday’s when Social Events take place. Metro closes at 1:30 AM, after

that to come back from Madrid you could get a nigh bus or a taxi (35 €

aprox.).
