SOLAR ROOFTOPSnet metering
SOLAR ROOFTOPSNet Metering
Net metering is an electricity policy for consumers who install solar power within their premises which allows them to use electricity whenever needed while contributing their production to the grid. "Net", in this context, is used in the sense of meaning "what remains after deductions" — in this case, the deduction of any energy outflows from metered energy inflows. Under net metering, the system owner receives retail credit for all the electricity they generate unless they produce more electricity than they consume during any given billing period. Credit for excess production varies from state to state.Benefits to the grid include:avoided costs of generation that would be needed in the absence of solar poweravoided costs for generation capacity (to the extent that solar power offsets system peak demand)reduced costs for ancillary serviceslower line losses on the transmission and distribution (T&D) systemreduced investments in T&D facilities (to the extent that solar power reduces the need to invest in facilities)Costs to the grid include:equipment upgrades on the distribution systemhigher costs of purchased power when the utility pays the retail rate for power instead of the pooled rate it could have paid to purchase power instead

Solar megawatt installationsPhoton tracker
• Single Axis Horizontal Tracking System • Installed and commissioned 10 MW plant with crystalline modules • Installed largest solar pv plant with trackers in India• Generate 15% more energy for any given site• Additional energy production reduces system’s levelized cost of
electricity (LCOE)• Return on Investment (ROI) far superior to any alternate fixed
structure modules (thin film or CdTe) • Completely indigenized and domestic components ensure lower
costs, faster delivery and higher IRR• Fewer moving parts and motors means lower operating and
maintenance costs
