Es para mi un inmenso placer y un verdadero honor darles la bienvenida a la exposición International Biennale Artists MIAMI, el ultimo evento de la galería durante el 2010 con la presentación especial de 46 destacados artistas de 17 países.

Mi objetivo como directora y curadora de Nina Torres Fine Art es honrar a los artistas que han sido previamente seleccionados para exponer en la Biennale d’Arte di Firenze (La Bienal de Florencia).

En esta exposición encontraremos artistas de 17 países representando a: Alemania, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, España, Estados Unidos, Francia, Irlanda, Israel, Lituania, México, Los Países Bajos, Suecia, Suiza y Venezuela. Adicionalmente, muchos de los artistas participantes han ganados el premio Internacional de Lorenzo el Magnifico en varias categorías y distinciones.

Quiero agradecer muy especialmente a los patrocinadores, participantes, curadores y a todos aquellos que de alguna manera contribuyeron para que esta exposición tenga especial trascendenciacomo vía de difusión en los Estados Unidos, abriendo para todos los artistas participantes, nuevos horizontes durante la semana de Art Basel Miami Beach, cuando todos los ojos del mundo del arte estan puestos en Miami.

It gives me great honor to welcome you to the opening of our invitational exhibition, International Biennale Artists MIAMI, the last show of 2010 and a special presentation of 46 renowned artists from 17 countries.

My primary objective as director and chief curator of Nina Torres Fine Art is to honor artists whom have been previously selected to exhibit at the Biennale d’Arte di Firenze (Florence Biennale).

This exhibition features artists who represent the following 17 countries: Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Lithuania, Mexico, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The United States of America, and Venezuela. In addition, many of the participating artists have been awarded with The International Lorenzo the Magnificent Award in various categories and distinctions.

We would like to extend our sincerest thanks to our sponsors, the participants, curators and all of those who in one way or another contributed to the success of this exhibition which transcends geographic boundaries in order to partake in the dialog of art in the United States. All of these artists will undoubtedly leave their mark during Art Basel Miami Beach, when all eyes are on Miami.

artist biographies

AL WILDEY USAImages from this series are created by compositing hundreds of documentary photographs of a journey. Opacity adjustments create a composite image where camera details dissipate and meld to produce an image with faint traces of each photograph, creating an impression of the cumulative journey. The synthesis of layered images on aluminum reveals and conceals information allowing the composite to become a powerful metaphor and, like the reflected light from the image surface, encourages us to reflect on our individual, often symbolic, journeys.

ALICIA H. TORRES Colombia-USAMy work contains the beauty and the admiration of the world. I follow in my abstraction the path of life and its elements. My goal is to express emotions in my paintings where they become a language to communicate with the spectator. My soul is left in every work of art, inspired by the simplest things in life and the grandeur of creation. I was born in Colombia, and studied in Barranquilla at Marymount School. I spent four years in Switzerland, where I studied art history. I graduated with a degree in psycho-pedagogy at the Corporación Universitaria de la Costa. I now reside and live in Miami, Florida.

ARACELI SALCEDO MexicoBorn in Mexico City, Araceli Salcedo had her first encounter with art after obtaining a degree in Interior Design. Expanding her studies through workshops in both the United States and Mexico has lead Araceli to experiment with different techniques in painting. Araceli has participated in over 30 shows including Fusion in México City, The International Fair of Frankfurt, and also selling her artwork in international auctions. She has been published in international art books including the International Artists Catalogue, 100 Contemporary International Artists (Belgium), and the European Community Library of Artists. In 2006 she started her own painting workshop and today, she is a well-known artist with a personal and unmistakable style and hallmark.

BARBARA HARDMEIER Netherlands-Switzerland“Philosophical questions always cross my mind. I’m always refreshing and purifying my expressions of art. How can I touch and inspire people? Artists can play a crucial role: all expressions of art possess the possibility to reach and touch the heart of people and connect them to each other, however different they may be.” Hardmeier studied audio-visual design and painting at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. Her work has been shown in prestigious international exhibitions such as the World Art Vision in Mexico and the WAV in Cancun, Mexico with upcoming exhibitions in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Japan.

BEATRIZ MOYA France-SpainCe fut un long parcours avant de faire cette Rencontre… Fusion passionnelle avec la matière. Après la peinture a ètè pur moi une Renaissance… En 1995, j’intègre l’ècole d’Arts Plastiques Martenot durant cinq ans. Actuellement, je poursuis ma formation artistique à l’université Paris 1 – La Sorbonne/ St Charles. Mes inspirations, je les puise dans mes origins latines, dans mes voyages, mes emotions, mes découvertes. Mon chemin, on le découvre, on le perd, on l’aperçoit, on le suit de l’intérieur. Mon âme guide mon pinceau qui y depose une empreinte. Incontournable. Chemin de l’homme, chein de vie. A l’infini…

BRONWYN TOWLE USAChinese born and raised in Hawaii, I am a working artist and full time art teacher at an independent school in Palos Verdes Peninsula, California. I received an Associate’s Degree from Pasadena City College and attended Chouinard, as well as the Otis Art Institute. Being an intuitive painter, I rarely start off with a plan, using anything at hand- brushes, sticks, and fingertips. My work is largely abstract and figurative with layers and splatters of intense color that create texture and energy. My recent exhibitions include Torrence Art Museum, 2008, Faculty Group Show, 2008, South Bay Watercolor Society, First place, 2008, and Palos Verdes Art Center Holiday, juried exhibition, 2009.

CECILIA DEL TORO Colombia-USABorn in Colombia, she is a versatile artist who masters oil painting, jewelry and metals, pen and ink, glass, ceramic and porcelain painting. Cecilia was a Colombian surgeon who moved to the United States in 2003 and traded in her surgical equipment for an artist’s tools. In 2003 Cecilia moved to Rockville, MD, where she received a AA in Arts and Sciences at Montgomery College. A key feature in Cecilia’s work is her love of painting faces, and the use of light and color. “Light and color are particularly important to me”, explains Cecilia, “because they reflect the inner self, along with my intense love for nature and all its creatures.”

CHRISTINE DRUMMOND BrazilThe exotic scenes and vivid colors that characterize the paintings of Christine Drummond highlight the expressive abandon of an artist working in her natural element. Drummond creates gatherings formed of brightly colored figures standing, walking, carrying loads on her heads, or dancing enthusiastically. It manifests in all aspects of the work- the hues, themes, tones, and movement- a crescendo to a climax of shimmering life. Her main inspiration is the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where she grew up, and her paintings emphasize the sense of optimism and confidence in the people. Drummond continues to exhibit widely, and produce works marked by fantastic color, texture, and happiness.

DALIA BLAUENSTEINER Austria-LithuaniaBorn in Siauliai, Lithuania, Dalia Blauensteiner graduated from the Siauliai University Art Department in 1985. As of 2003, she lives and works in Krems, Austria. Her creative activities include: organizing exhibitions, creating installations, making stage decorations for theatre and events as well as designing publications and catalogues. She had joint and personal exhibitions of her paintings in Lithuania and Latvia (1983-1998), in Germany (1995), in Denmark (2002) and in Austria (2000-2009). Some of her oil paintings are owned by official institutions and private collectors in Lithuania, Poland, Czech, Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Austria and the United States of America.

DEBRA VAN TUINEN USAMy work is not an exact representation of the landscape but rather, the landscape evokes emotions and thoughts within myself and others. My intent is to create a reverence for the landscape, the earth, and a consciousness that it feeds us physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I respond to that energy and spirit in my work. Art is my life- all that I experience and see becomes part of my work. The way my environment effects me is the essence, the soul, of my work.

EDMUND IAN GRANT USAEdmund Ian Grant is a self-taught, award-winning artist who resides in Napa Valley, California. His artwork has been shown in New Orleans and many of the top galleries in California, such as the Dyanson Gallery in Carmel, and the Vorpal Gallery in San Francisco. He has also participated in many international exhibitions such as, The Biennale of Chianciano, and most recently in the Art Code, sponsored by Jelmoni Studio Gallery of Milan, Italy. His work is in international collections and he has participated in many solo exhibitions. He has also been the artist in residence at both Pat Kuleto’s Kuleto Estate Family Winery and Jessup Cellars in Napa Valley.

EDUARDO CHIRINO MexicoLife in every aspect sprouts from the artwork of sculptural ceramist Eduardo Chirino. Currently living in Miami, Florida, he illustrates in every piece the integration of his various cultural experiences. This prolific young ceramist has produced a wide variety of forms: totems, vases, and plates that evoke Pre-Columbian cultures. Human faces emerge from the wall with stoic expression; geometric compositions hanging from the ceiling remind us of the universe and the solar system; murals of various shapes and sizes depict the artist’s perception of the Earth and its elements. Eduardo is capable of a creative process with a keen sensibility. Under his charm, clay becomes an element of infinite possibilities.

ELISHA BEN YITZHAK IsraelElisha studied art at the Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem and at the Avni Art Institute in Tel Aviv. His paintings have been exhibited in museums, galleries, art festivals, and private art exhibits around the world, including the Tate Gallery in London, and appeared in numerous publications and electronic media. Elisha moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1985. “Elisha’s pictures have a unique and independent style of their own with so much rhythm. Elisha expresses his feelings, emotions and personal experiences through most astonishing paintings, which are revered around the world and considered extraordinary” (Leon Harari).

ELLEN VAN DER MEULEN NetherlandsMy father’s cousin and good friend Pieter Geraerds was a genuine painter, sculptor and hedonist. I would walk through his house, a large stately building, and felt and saw what art could do. I remember a sweet, almost heady scent dominated the house. Enjoying the art there, flowing through the great arteries of the house, became a source of great inspiration for me. Three years ago, I allowed myself to be challenged by canvas, brush, and knife. I recognized the scent again and have continued painting ever since. I have no formal training. This is my style, not bound by laws or rules. I want to dedicate all of my art work to my dear Klaas, Eva, and Emma.

EMILIA GARCÍA USAEmilia García was born in Los Angeles, California. Her journey began on her grandparent’s ranch in the small town of Piru, California. It was in Piru that her grandparents raised her while her parents worked to provide for the family. In 1996, it was her grandmother’s death and love of art that drove her to leave the corporate world and immerse herself in her artwork.A visual artist, Emilia expresses herself through the beauty and culture of her indigenous roots. “I try to convey images that speak of strength and love through family and celebration all the while focusing on the spirit of women. Although my influence has been from the great Mexican Masters, my inspiration comes from my grandmother’s love and her presence within me. It is through the closing of her eyes that she has opened my eyes to the reality of what I have become.”

ESTHER WERTHEIMER CanadaBorn in Poland, she has lived most of her life in Montreal but studies and works all over the world. She finds time to travel to various clients around the world where her works are exhibited. Esther Wertheimer has more than 33 monumental sculptures to her credit. Among the awards she has received are; a grant from the Italian Government to work one year in Italy, the Canadian counsel grant, the Elizabeth T. Greenshield Memorial award, “A Decade of Woman Achievements” awarded by the Minister Flora McDonald, the Alcan Grand Prix for “Judith Jasmine”, the Hacone Rodin competition for “Caftan”, her 12 foot sculpture representing the city of Fukuoka for their one hundredth anniversary.

FABIO MESA ColombiaBorn in 1970, Medellin, Colombia. Received an education from Escuela de Bellas Artes Medellín, Colombia in 1991 and later at the Taller de Artes de Medellín. Select exhibitions include an exhibition at the Galería Palacio de la Cultura Medellín, Colombia in 2007 and was recently selected to participate in the Emerging Artists from Mexico and Latin America at the New York Academy of Arts in 2007.

FLAVIA D’ ASCOLI VenezuelaBorn in Venezuela, she began studying painting from 1971-74 and obtained an honorific mention with her pastel work in 1973. Her education (1996-2008) includes: etching and printmaking at the Instituto d’Arte Lorenzo di’ Medici, Italy and collage at Coral Springs Museum of Art, USA. She has participated in exhibitions such as, Galeria Blasini and Biennales Iternacionales Miniaturas Graficas, Caracas. Flavia received honorific mention in 2002, in Guatemala during 2008, and in the Museum of New Plymouth, New Zeland in 2002 and 2006. In 2003, she had an individual exhibition, Vientos de Libertad, in Caracas. For Flavia: “Art is the expectation that lead into freedom of expression”.

FRANCES SNIFFEN USAFrances Sniffen’s work is mixed media, abstract, intuitive, and includes non-traditional processes that express metaphors which parallel life experiences. Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, she earned her BFA at the Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington, D.C. Her further studies include the Art Students League of New York and the University of Maryland at College Park. She is a juried member of the National Association of Women Artists, in New York. Exhibitions include: Sculpture Now 2008 at the Washington Sculptors Group, The Drawing Center 2007 Auction in New York, and WPA/C Auction 2007 in Washington D.C.

FRANK COLSON USASarasota artist and sculptor Frank Colson, received his BFAfrom Scripps College, California and an M.S. Degree fromSyracuse University, in New York. Selected exhibitions include the City Art Gallery, Stockholm, Sweden, Galleria D’Arte II Millennio at Venice, Italy, and the Frank Colson Retrospective Museum Exhibition at the Ringling College of Florida. Colson has exhibited internationally in places such as Tokyo, New Mexico, South Dakota, and Florida. Selected commissions and public art include: the Canas Project for the National Memorial,Costa Rica, the Yalalag Project, Mexico, and more recently in Miami-Dade Art in Public Places.

GAZALA USAGazala lives and resides in New York City. An emerging artist, she has shown works in New York, London, Bangalore, and Bombay. She has participated in major art fairs such as London’s Form Olympia, and group exhibitions at the Santa Monica Art Festival and the New Art Center in New York.

Gazala shows versatility in her works with her figurative, landscape, and abstract paintings. Her restless mind and equally restless imagination probe and search for the hidden connections between time, people, and the very substance of existence.

HE SI’EN ChinaBorn in Zigong, China she studied at The Engraving Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and at the Engraving Department at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Now living in Beijing, her exhibitions include: Tokyo-Tama International Woodcut Painting Exhibition; Asian Youth Designer Contest, 2007’s China Pingyao International Photography Festival; China Design Now in London; 2008’s Beijing International Art Biennale; We Are In Here, Beijing; 2008’s China Pingyao International Photography Festival. Her paintings reside in the collections of: The Exhibition Hall of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Shanghai Art Museum, Sichuan Art Museum, Tokyo Tama University, Jiangsu Art Museum, Beijing International Art Biennale Office.

HE ZHANG ChinaChinese-Canadian artist based in Montreal, he specializes in oil painting at the LuXun institute of Art. His vigorous abstractions range from austere studies in movement and energy to exuberant explosions of color that express the ever-changing landscape of his emotions. Each painting is a journey of self-discovery, continual exploration, and personal transformation. He Zhang has participated in many prestigious exhibitions, including solo and collective shows at the LuXun Art Institute in China, the Toronto International Art Fair, Odon Wagner Contemporary in Toronto, and Galerie d’Ete in Montreal, Canada.

IRENE NEAL USANeal studied at the Wilson College in Pennsylvania and recivied a BA in 1958. She also studied at the School of Visual Arts in Brazil from 1976-77, the Escola de Belas Artes, in Brazil during 1978, and at Memphis State University from 1979-80. Her exhibitions include her solo exhibition at the Huitai Art Centre, China in 2008, Art Basel Miami Beach, FL in 2007 and the 69th Regiment Armory Show, New York in 2000. She states: “I paint with all that I am… that somehow the best of my strengths will become visible to those who stand in front of my art… so they, too, can feel in their soul, the beauty and greatness of this life!”

JOYCE HARRIS MAYER USAMayer was born in New York City in 1935 and was working professionally as an artist by the age of 17. In 1953, she was awarded the New York City Art League Medal, where numerous awards followed. Mayer had her first professional exhibition in New York City ina gallery in Greenwich Village in 1960. Her work is in numerous collections, which include: the Library of Congress, New Orleans Museum of Art Dedalo

Center for Contemporary Art in Italy. Her images have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the states and abroad, receiving favorable critical reviews. She has been granted numerous medals and awards including most recently, the NAWA Medal of Honor in 2008.

K-SOUL SwitzerlandIn a research lab in the Swiss Alps, K-Soul creates holokinetic light works which he refrs to as “cosmic gardens.” These works encompass various fields such as digital painting, sculpture, and jewelry. The primary element of the work is light, which reflects the living forces and evolutionary processes of metamorphosis. K-Soul has collaborated with the artist Ruben Nuñez, inventor of holokinetic technology. “To understand the poetic reality of the spiritual world, it is necessary to acquire knowledge and a delicate perception of living forces,” He has reinforced this philosophy by working as a mountain guide, therefore developing a unique artistic approach based on the experience of extreme situations.

KATRIN ALVAREZ GermanyShe was born in 1944 in Güstrow, Mecklenburg and she now lives in Köln. As the daughter of an art tutor, she grew up surrounded by creativity and aesthetics, discovering the fascination of colors and shapes since childhood. Alvarez passed the German Legal State Exam, spent two years as a trainee with a daily newspaper and published satirical poems and a novel. But she never stopped creating her own world: “Painting – that means consciousness of limits. Painting - that means game, life, hope, fear, fight, provocation, challenge and love. Everything.”

KICKI GRANHOLM Sweden“In my work I want to express unseen words, the image beneath the social surface which expresses the deep, often hidden character of human beings.” Kicki Granholm was born in Stockholm, Sweden, but now lives in Nossebro. Her studies include: Arthandicraft in Stockholm, and ceramic school in Lidköping, a member of the Swedish Art Union, founder and chairman of Nosan Art Union in Essunga commune. She exhibited at Folkets Hus, Trollhättan in 2007, Galleri Oliven, Gothenburg in 2007, and the Opera Gallery, Budapest in 2008.

KIMBERLY BERG USAKimberly resides in New York managing her online gallery “Isis Rising” and is a member of the North Country Cultural Center for the Arts in New York. Her work has been shown in the New York Art Expo in 2007 and has received awards in many national and international competitions. She has also had artwork published and reviewed in numerous magazines and newspapers. Her works of art attempt to encourage and inspire women to reconnect to their pre-historical roots: to woman’s ancient relationship with nature, to a pre-patriarchal, goddess-based spirituality, and to the once honored, sacred mystery of a woman’s body.

LI HAIBING ChinaBorn in Shanxi province China, Li graduated from the China Academy of Art with an B.A. degree in oil painting and is now an artistic design teacher of the landscape department in the Beijing University of Agriculture. Exhibitions include: Chinese Avant-Garde Artists Documents Exhibition of the 1990s, Japan (2000), China in Images: 50th Anniversary of China Photography, Beijing (2006), Dreams in China, Reality in China: Contemporary Chinese Art Exhibition, Paris, France (2008), Ah! We: 30 Years Contemporary Art in China, National Center for the Performing Arts, Beijing (2008).

MAGGIE MAGEE IrelandMaggie Magee was born in Dublin, Ireland and received a BFA from N.C.A.D. and an MFA from The School Of The Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards and grants, including the Irish Arts Council Award, Illinois Artist Fellowship, and The Chicago Artist Association Award. Her past exhibitions include Contemporary Art Chicago, Sao Paulo Biennial, Brazil, Scan Gallery Sapporo, Japan. Magee is also the recipient of Grammy and Emmy Nominations for her commercial film and music dvd productions. She is currently living and working in Wicklow, Ireland.

MALENA PEÓN MexicoMalena Peón is a Mexican artist, with 60 joined exhibitions and 10 solo exhibitions. She represented México in Vienna in 2006 and donated her collection Chichén Itzá “World Wonder.” She also organizes and promotes national, international and Yucatecan artists. “Where is your brother? Socially responsible?” is primarily about her concern of human relationships amidst an increasingly globalized society that brings us closer through communication but is divisive through cultural and ideological conflict. The hardness, form and brightness of diamonds in the painting refer to a process that is formed under pressure. Furthermore, diamonds have a connotation of conflict when put in the context of Sierra Leone. Pink is the feminine presence whose sweetness and energy make the difference in today’s world.

MARAH BROWN ROHOVIT USABorn in Kansas, Marah now lives and works in Utah. As a mixed media artist, she has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. She participated in Artprize 2010 and was invited to be a guest artist at the 86th Annual Spring Salon 2010, at Springville Museum of Art, Springville, Utah. She is listed in the Who’s Who in American Art, 2008 to 2010. The subject of black and white has had a strong presence in her work since 2005, originally inspired by a street performer in Barcelona, it has expanded to reflect her views on community, not “a” community in particular, but the idea of community as a whole.

MATT ANZAK USAMatt Anzak’s artwork ranges from figurative to landscape to non-objective abstraction, that explores a variety of media, techniques, and subject matter. Expressionist techniques like action painting became a layer in the artistic process of plasticity, while automatic writing provoked both an intense interest in symbology and a newfound interest in the art of the ancient world. Anzak’s current artistic focus examines the Hermetic Arts and the narrative of cosmic creation as illustrated by the Vedic culture of India, and by the ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Mayan civilizations.

MICHELLE DE METZ USAMichelle currently works from her studios in Dallas and the Texas Hill Country. The artist’s works can be found in private collections in New York, California, Palm Beach, Dallas, New Orleans, Paris, and Brazil. Natural elements are incorporated into every painting, often hidden within the composition. Most works are focused on philosophical inquiry and contain subtle puzzles intended to engage the viewer to assert one’s own interpretations. Her education consists of independent studies at the Louisiana State University. Recent exhibitions include: Gallery 500X, The Englishman’s Gallery, The MAC, Estate Gallery, Fashion Industry Gallery, D magazine Art-Slam, The Dallas Center for Contemporary Art.

MIRIAM AROESTE Mexico-CanadaMexican-born, Vancouver artist Miriam Aroeste conveys her inner journey through life in the medium of painting. Her abstract themes explore a universal understanding that transcends gender, race or subject matter; it is deliberately inclusive and open. Her paintings are ultimate explorations of line, color and gesture. The meditative quality of Aroeste’s work goes beyond any specific association, her abstract compositions invite to create a spiritual plane for the viewer to reflect and she hopes to achieve an emotional response, which is not conceptual, but something felt on a more instinctive level. Aroeste has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions in Canada, USA and France. She has been involved in the arts for over 20 years in many different capacities. Her work is held in collections in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Israel and Italy.

PALOMA BERNALDO DE QUIRÓS MexicoShe is a self-taught artist, born in Mexico. The strength and the presence of ancient bull representation linspired the artist. The abstracted image of the bull is a recurring theme in her work. The simplicity and the mysteries of the Altamira, Lascaux, Las Flechas, and the Chauvet caves inspired a new stage in which she now recreates the basic nature and colors. She is constantly finding new ways to express this idea through textures; using her hands to create images with metallic elements like copper, and gold leaf.

PAOLO GELB AustriaPainting is my own opportunity to express my feelings and longings, my deepest wishes, my fears, my tears and laughter, my soul and my heart. Colors are giving me the possibility to realize these concept, combine them like a puzzle and materialize them in my artwork. Where do I start, where do I finish? Literally, I am exploding and enjoying it! There are thousands of possibilities. Let your heart be free. Thoughts are free. Freedom can get a true dimension by painting. PATRICIA SECCO BrazilPatricia Secco initiated her painting studies in Rio de Janeiro. In 1990 she moved to Washington D.C., where she enrolled in the Corcoran Institute of Art at Georgetown University. She then studied at the Rockville Art Center and later improved her techniques in watercolor, acrylics, and oil with artists Bill Newman, Kathy Blosson and Ellen Burgoyne.

RACHEL SIMMONS USARachel Simmons teaches introductory classes, printmaking, drawing, book arts and environmental art courses at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Since 2000, she has created collaborative community art projects that teach students to become responsible, well-formed citizens as well as accomplished, well-versed artists. Rachel’s mixed media work focuses on climate change, marine pollution and ecotourism and has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She traveled to Antarctica in 2008 to conduct research for her work and returned in 2009, leading a group of her faculty colleagues.

REGINA MIELE USARegina’s approach to art is a constant exploration to realizing the physicality of her daily world, particularly light, while exploring the endless properties of the traditional materials she employs. She is a graduate from the Catholic University of America and earned a B.A. in Painting. She has exhibited in New York at the Caelum Gallery in Chelsea and the Agora Gallery in Soho, as well as the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Regina’s work is included in the permanent public collection at the John A. Wilson City Hall Building’s Art Collection in Washington, DC and private collections in the United States, Israel, and Europe.

RICHARD BAILEY USANature is Richard’s main source of inspiration. His artwork has evolved from abstract to impressionistic works with vivid color and texture. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah and received an MFA from the University of Southern California. He currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. Some recent exhibitions include: New Art Center, New York City, Artists’ Haven Gallery, Ft Lauderdale, and the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, in Chelsea, New York City.

ROSALYN ENGELMAN USAMy work is concerned with color, process and emotion. It reacts to internal and external stimuli. Within paintings, sculpture, and installations, I try to reveal the Essence: not the Thing, but the essence of the Thing. Creating art is a magical experience: at times painful or exhilarating, always a magnificent obsession. It is rewarding to see my efforts in private collections, universities and museums; most memorably, being invited by Gabrielle Kirk McDonald, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, to paint frontispieces for Volumes I and II of Substantive and Procedural Aspects of International Criminal Law, The Haigue, Netherlands. It is the first publication of its kind.

SEDA BAGHDASARI USA“I hope to capture the essence of beauty in our world, connecting the viewer to the higher realms of humanity.Aiming to see with the eyes of the heart, for rising above the struggles of everyday life. Let us walk the path of beauty now and educate our children by example.” Seda is a visualist – painter, photographer, and designer and is an active philanthropist who travels the world using her artwork and energy to help disadvantaged populations in Armenia and abroad. Recent solo exhibitions include: Beauty of the Land (Ararat Center, Los Angeles, 2009), HeartWork- Art of Love, Love of Art (Chocolatebox Gallery, Los Angeles, 2009).

JENIK COOK USAI was born in the country in the open and natural spaces, where nature dictates peoples life styles and prosperity. When I was seven years old one morning I went to our backyard, and Lo Behold, I saw a magenta rose in full bloom the petals spread in infinite splendor, I fell in love. That was long time ago, the impact has lasted for sixty years, I am still under that spell. I have learned some disciplines in art, but then I have forgotten them by now. Realization of the space has brought my art to its present state, the life giving shapes of space activate and create new forms that are very unique and expressive. The essence of painting is the dance of space around shapes, color and line. I paint in oil, acrylic, water color. I sculpt in concrete, stone and clay. I also throw pottery.

SHAWN MAN ROLAND USAShawn Man Roland studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. Shawn Man currently resides in San Francisco, CA. His work incorporates a broad range of skills and knowledge. Using a range of materials he creates inspiring paintings, murals, decorative furnishing and sculpture. He has had years of experience working for a variety of designers and different types of studios, enabling him to travel throughout the country working in restaurants, private homes, theme stores, and art exhibitions.

YAEL KAPLAN Israel“My work is a presentation of private dialogues that leans on memories and biography as a starting point to a dialogue with the world.” Yael currently lives and teaches art photography and painting in her native country of Israel. Her studies include: Plastic art stream “wizo”, computer programs “John Bryce”, sketching department, art photography department “Hamidrasha” art college. Her group exhibitions include: Tel-Hai Israeli Museum of Photography, Jewish Center Manhattan (NY), At Meneer de Wit gallery (Amsterdam). Solo Israeli exhibitions includes the Ramat Gan Israeli Museum. Her awards include an Excellence in Photography Scholarship and a Mayor’s Award for Artist Excellence.
