Dr. Suresh Babu is an interna�onal agricultural economist conduc�ng policy research, capacity development, and policy advisory ac�vi�es for more than three decades in the Sub Saharan Africa, South Asia, Central Asia, and other developing regions. He joined Interna�onal Food Policy Research Ins�tute in 1992 and has served in several posi�ons including the Coordinator of IFPRI's Southern Africa Food Security Program (1992‐1997), Coordinator of its Central Asia Program (1997 – 2002), and Coordinator of its South Asia Ini�a�ve and its Policy Analysis and Advisory Network (PAANSA) (2000 – 2007). As a Senior Research Fellow and Head of division of Capacity Strengthening at IFPRI, Dr. Babu is guiding IFPRI's regional and country programs in their capacity development ac�vi�es. In this leadership posi�on, he has conducted many na�onal dialogues that led to the development of na�onal food security and agricultural policies of several developing countries in Africa and Asia.
Prior to IFPRI, Dr. Babu was a research economist at Cornell University. He has published 20 books and monographs and more than 100 peer‐reviewed journal papers on food and agricultural policies in developing countries. Dr. Babu has held or currently holding visi�ng or honorary professorships at the University of Pretoria, American University, Washington, D.C., Indira Gandhi Na�onal Open University, India, University of Kwazulu‐Natal, South Africa, and Zhejiang University, China. He is a visi�ng professor of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CASS) and an Elected Fellow of the Na�onal Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NASS) in India. Dr. Babu received his Ph.D. and M.S. both in Economics from Iowa State University, USA where he was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award for his services to global development.

Dr. Narendra Singh Rathore, Vice‐Chancellor, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture & Technology, Udaipur, Rajasthan has vast exper�se (more than 40 years) in Agriculture, Food and Agri‐Business Management, Bio energy, Renewable Energy Technology. Dr. Rathore served as Deputy Director General (Educa�on) and DDG (Engineering), ICAR, New Delhi and Founder Vice‐Chancellor, SKN Agricultural University, Jobner, Rajasthan. Dr. Rathore was instrumental in designing of Na�onal Voca�onal Educa�on Qualifica�on Framework in Agriculture. Dr. Rathore delivered 82 key‐ note addresses in various Interna�onal and Na�onal Seminars. Dr. Rathore visited 13 countries on professional assignments. Dr. Rathore was Principal Inves�gator for 51 R&D projects and three Interna�onal projects i.e. PISCES, CDM &FT. He authored 38 books, 26 and 69 research papers in reputed interna�onal and na�onal journals. He served as Editor for Indian Journals and guided 31 M.Tech, 16 Ph.D and 13 M.Sc students �ll date. Dr. Rathore received advanced five interna�onal trainings and is recipient of more than 30 awards and fellowships.

Dr. Kolawale Adebayo
Professor of Agriculture and Rural Development
Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria
Dr. Kolawale Adebayo working as Professor at Federal University of
Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria has 34 years of vast experience in teaching,
research and extension ac�vi�es mainly focusing on uptake of innova�ons
in smallholder farming, sustainable funding of agricultural development,
rural livelihoods and environmental management. Dr. Adebayo is a Visi�ng
Professor at University of Greenwich, Natural Resources Ins�tute (NRI),
Chatham Mari�me, UK since 2014. In his most recent assignment, as the
team leader for Interna�onal and Rural Development Programme in 2019
at the Livelihoods Support and Development Centre (SLIDEN AFRICA), he
provided guidance to the team to improve its grants winning performance
as well as elevate the visibility, impact and influence of the Centre as a
whole. He has completed 22 projects as principal inves�gator/team
leader/consultant, published 53 research papers, five books and nine book
chapters. Dr. Adebayo won several na�onal and interna�onal awards
including the pres�gious 'Rockfeller Founda�on Award' in 2017.
Dr. S.N. Meera
Senior Technical Expert (Digital agriculture), IFAD,
Cairo, Egypt
Shaik N. Meera works at United Na�on's Interna�onal Fund for
Agricultural Development , as Senior Technical Expert (Digital Agriculture)
and is based in Cairo. A Digital Transforma�on Specialist with blended Agri
and Technology domain exper�se, he is known for his evidence‐based
prac�ce in bringing digital transforma�on among many organiza�ons.
Before joining IFAD, he worked as Principal Scien�st in ICAR, where he led
large scale digital agriculture projects and federal demonstra�ons
program. He was a Visi�ng Researcher at IRRI, Philippines (2012‐13) and
Iowa State University (2010). He acts as a consultant for na�onal and
interna�onal organiza�ons to help digital transforma�on. Published 100
research papers, 4 network papers, 10 books, 15 technical bulle�ns, 8
blogs, 50 book chapters, 10 Mobile apps and 12 e‐books.
He holds Masters and Doctoral degree in Digital Extension with two gold
medals and 12 na�onal and Interna�onal awards. He is decorated with
pres�gious Extension Leadership Award and ICAR‐ Lal Bahdur Shastri
Outstanding Young Scien�st Award (2015). He travelled across 20
countries to design, deploy, share and learn the development strategies for
several organiza�ons.
Professor Jing Zhu

Professor Jing Zhu is Dean of College of Economics and Management,
Nanjing Agricultural University (NAU),and Cheung Kong Chair Professor,
Dis�nguished Professor by the Ministry of Educa�on of China. She is the
Chairperson of the Agricultural and Forestry Economics and
Management Disciplinary Appraisal Commi�ee of the State Council
Academic Commission of China, Vice‐Chair person of the Advisory
Commi�ee for the Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management
Disciplinary of Higher Educa�on of the Ministry of Educa�on of China,
member of the Exper�se Advisory Commi�ee for the trade promo�on
center of the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Affairs of China
(MARA),member of the Academic Commi�ee for the Agricultural
Economics Research Center of MARA, and member of the Board of
Trustees of ILRI, CGIAR.
Prof. Zhu obtained her Ph.D in NAU before joining Interna�onal Food
Policy Research Ins�tute (IFPRI) of the CGIAR as a post‐doctoral research
fellow, with research areas in agricultural economic management,
agricultural trade, especially food security policy studies. She is a widely
published author and recipient of awards for research achievements, and
is currently undertaking a series of key research projects from
authorita�ve na�onal research founda�ons as well as Government
agencies.

Dr. Orachos Napasintuwong is working as Assistant Professor at Kasetsart
University, Thailand since 2005. She a�ained her PhD from the University
of Florida, USA in Food and Resource Economics and an MBA from the
Louisiana State University, USA. As an agricultural economist, she served
as Execu�ve Commi�ee Member, Agricultural Economic Society of
Thailand under Royal Patronage; Member of Board of Directors, Asia
Pacific Agricultural Policy Forum; Country Contract Partner, Food and
Fer�lizer Technology Centre for the Asian and Pacific Region and Director
of Feed the Future Innova�on Lab for Food Security Policy Research,
Capacity, and Influence (PRCI) in Asia. She is also Editor of Applied
Economics Journal and Book Review Editor of Asian Journal of Agriculture
and Development. She published several research papers and book
chapters in the areas of agricultural biotechnology, agricultural
technology adop�on, seed industry, and rice economy in south‐east Asia.
Prof. Kadambot H.M. Siddique

Professor Kadambot H.M. Siddique is presently employed in The University
of Western Australia as Hacke� Professor of Agriculture Chair and Director,
the UWA Ins�tute of Agriculture. Professor Siddique is recognized
interna�onally as a leader in crop science and agriculture.He has made
outstanding contribu�ons to agriculture in research, educa�on and
industry development. His research on the adapta�on, physiology,
gene�cs and agronomy of crops has boosted cereal and grain legume
produc�on in dryland environments. His major contribu�ons to dryland
agriculture has resulted in crop yield improvements in grain legumes and
wheat, and the release of 13 new grain legume cul�vars.
Professor Siddique has more than 30 years' experience in agricultural
research, research training and management in Australia and overseas. He
has a na�onal and interna�onal reputa�on in various aspects of
agricultural science, including crop physiology, produc�on agronomy,
farming systems, gene�c resources and breeding, with a focus on wheat,
grain legumes (especially chickpea) and oilseed crops.His educa�on and
research training ini�a�ves span many regions, including Australia, Asia,
Africa and the Middle East. These are impac�ng on the next genera�on of
agricultural scien�sts and progressive farmers‐for the future challenges of
food security.
Kalyan Chakravarthy Guntuboyina
Account Manager, AsiaWageningen University &
Research (WUR)

Kalyan Chakravarthy Guntuboyina is presently employed with
Wageningen University and Research (WUR) as the Account Manager for
Asia. Prior to this, he worked with Wageningen Environmental Research
(also part of WUR) as a Senior Researcher. During his six year s�nt there, he
was mainly involved in carrying out interna�onal project assignments on
Metropolitan Food Clusters' development and Climate Smart Agriculture
as a project leader.
With a Master's degree in Gene�cs and Plant breeding and Post Graduate
Diploma in Agribusiness Management, Kalyan worked with some leading
organiza�ons such as BASF, Rabobank Interna�onal, YES Bank and IFFCO
in senior management and leadership posi�ons before joining
Wageningen UR (in 2013).
Kalyan has held several honorary posi�ons which include, Member of
India's Planning Commission working group on Animal Husbandry and
Livestock (2011) and Convener of Agrobusiness sub‐commi�ee of Indian
Banks Associa�on (2009 ‐2010). He also served as a member of the
Advisory Commi�ee of Post Graduate Diploma programme of Na�onal
Ins�tute of Agriculture Extension Management, (MANAGE, an
autonomous ins�tute of Ministry of Agriculture and Family welfare,
Government of India) from 2012 to 2019.

About the Webinar
ndia has one of the largest and well‐coordinated public agricultural research systems in the world. The main role of SAUs Iis to not only aid in state‐wide agricultural produc�on and produc�vity, but to aid India in agricultural and rural development na�onally, thereby contribu�ng to the food security of the Na�on. In this context, the interna�onal webinar is proposed with the following objec�ves.
Objec�ves of the webinar
he interna�onal webinar will not only assist to create awareness, review and evaluate the strategies/impact of TAgricultural Universi�es across the world in achieving na�onal food security and rural development and also gain insights from their experiences/lessons learnt/success stories/interven�ons/sustainable prac�ces. Furthermore, it will also guide in preparing 'ways forward/ac�on‐points' for Indian Agricultural Universi�es to engage themselves in na�onal food security/ rural development in a robust way. The interna�onal webinar will also aid in giving global exposure to the Indian SAUs par�cularly host organiza�on i.e. ANGRAU that is already a leader in contribu�ng to food security of the Na�on/ Rural development and also helps as first step in building strong collabora�ons and future partnerships.
