This will create a casing for your elastic. Using a safety pin, slide the elastic through the casing. Align both ends of the elastic with the edges of the fabric and sew in place.

Interior Baggy Pocket Tutorial

This tutorial is only for the pocket, instructions for the bag are not included. The pocket is best suited to a bag or a purse that has two distinct sides.

Materials:

2. Lay the pocket down with the lining fabric on top (see above photos), pin in place. Sew the lining fabric to the pocket from one end of the elastic around the bottom to the other end of the elastic, leaving a seam allowance of ¼”-⅜”. Then, trim the excess pocket material the same as the lining fabric.

3. Now sew the lining fabric into your bag as per the pattern instructions, and enjoy a loose pocket for all your trinkets!
