1. What kind of ideologies are promoted through the textbook series imported and used in Colombia?

The ideologies promoted through textbook using in Colombia are:

*Consumerism: It is about film industry in this case of USA.

*Hegemony: It has literature fragments taken from British literature

*Social cultural: promote North American culture, they don´t represent our Colombian culture.

2. To what extent would you say Colombian teachers are aware of the ideologies within these textbooks? Why is this so?

Most of the students in the school go to study because they have to. We have to promote values, variety.

3. Do you think there are differences between the attitudes of languages learners in high schools with those of the learners in institutes towards English language and culture? if so, which ones?
