Advantages
• decreases the losses associated with poorly coordinated advertising
• reduces the difficulties commonly encountered in clearly communicating an advertising message
• helps overcome new product hurdles, such as a consumer rejection.
Disadvantage
• Requires more participation from users than advertisers
