APAARI was established in 1990 as a joint initiative of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and majority of the National Agricultural Research Systems (NARS) of the Asia-Pacific region.

MISSION

Its mission is to promote agricultural research for development in the region through inter-institutional partnership.
