frogblue System

At first glance, it just looks like an inconspicuous circuit board, sitting invisibly inside the recess-mounted socket. It is small and green, which is why we call it the “frog”. But our frog has a lot to offer. It is highly intelligent, packed full of innovative functions, extremely easy to configurate and, thanks to Bluetooth LE, a real communications virtuoso.

With just a handful of frogs and a control device – such as an app-enabled mobile phone – freely scalable smart home applications can be put into practice. Wishful thinking? No. This is now a reality.

One small circuit board – one major advance

Bluetooth has established itself worldwide as the standard for close-range wireless communication. Bluetooth LE is a smart development with the marked advantage that it not only allows more data to be transferred, but also greatly increases the reach, making the system ideal for home networking. Our frogs have Bluetooth LE on board. They take their energy directly from the recess-mounted socket in which they were (quickly and easily) installed.

Our frogs communicate with each other and with their control devices – such as a smartphone – wirelessly using Bluetooth. Bluetooth LE makes sense: this world standard accommodates freely scalable systems, consumes a minimal amount of energy and ensures the highest level of security.

Trouble-free installationThe frogs are fitted into the recess-mounted sockets by an electrician. Done. No cables, server, intermediate connectors or other additional components are required.

Privacy included No IT infrastructure required: the system data and control data are stored and processed only by the frogs “in your own four walls”. No data transmission to external servers.

Customisable expansion of the systemEverything from a single source: frogblue offers high-quality displays, presence detectors, door stations, window sensors etc. These components, with a modern and timelessly elegant design, can be integrated into the system at any time.

Wireless, whether a first installation or retrofit The frogs communicate with each other and with the control device via Bluetooth LE. This means: no cables to lay, no damage to walls by cutting out channels, no dirt during installation and no additional installation costs.

Have a handful of frogs installed in the corresponding recess-mounted sockets, switches and electrical circuits. Done. The frogs contact and coordinate with each other automatically and register with your app. Enjoy simply editing your ideal configuration. Naturally, all of the devices can still be operated individually using their switches, as before.

Why not start small?

Have an electrician install one frog in a recess-mounted socket. Plug in a lamp. Download the frogblue app. The frog and the app recognise each other automatically. And away we go: switch on the lamp, switch off, dim the light, set a light timer. All using your smart phone, from the comfort of your sofa. A pleasurable experience.

The frogs are installed and connected directly to the power supply by a specialist.

Products for all types of application

frogblue system components are ideally suited for initial installations and for retrofitting a smart home. Frogs and cubes – need no special cabling and no central unit in order to communicate with each other. They can be installed in rooms and buildings without any great IT expertise. With their versatile variants, they cover the entire spectrum of intelligent living.

The intelligent system elements are connected directly to the main power supply in the house (230 V ~). Equipped with Bluetooth LE technology with 128-bit encryption, they offer innovative features such as an automatic saving function in the case of power failure and rapid software updates during ongoing operation.

Frogs. The freely configurable frogs are installed in recess-mounted sockets behind existing switches and buttons. The system is controlled via the frogblue Bluetooth LE network. Connected to the electricity supply network, they offer switching and dimming for lights, and control functions for shutters and blinds.

The frogs contact each other via integrated Bluetooth LE and automatically form a network, whose reach expands with each new frog.

Cubes. Thanks to their compact size, they can be installed in any recess-mounted socket. They add comfort and security functions to the system, such as visualisation, controls, access control, movement detection, door opening, and audio and video communication.

The cubes have two inputs for connecting and checking low-voltage contacts with a cable length of up to 100 m.
