Introduction to Intel® Partner UniversityIntel is transforming our training presence by establishing a new Intel® Partner University, an advanced learning center offering industry-leading curriculum with specialized training paths as well as recommended courses for each company. This one-stop-shop offers industry-leading curriculum with specialized training paths and recommended content. Partners can earn Competencies and badges, and display them with their customers to be recognized for their “Pro” status.

Intel has partnered with Credly’s Acclaim* platform to provide digital badges for the new Intel Partner University Competencies. These badges are a great way to display and verify with customers or employers the Intel-based skills and knowledge individuals have obtained through the particular training programs.

What is Intel® Partner University? Intel Partner University is an advanced learning center offering industry-leading curriculum with specialized training paths as well as recommended courses for each company.

How is Intel Partner University different from the Channel Training site we’ve used in the past?The Channel Training site was a portal only available to Intel® Technology Providers and Intel® Authorized Distributors. The University is a hub for all of Intel’s Partners, including Intel® Technology Providers, Intel® Authorized Distributors, as well as partners in the Intel® Cloud Insider, Intel® Solution Alliance, Local OEMs, and Original Design Manufacturer (Champ) programs. Additionally, the Intel Partner University offers an enhanced experience allowing partners to more easily access a broad breadth of courses.

What training formats are offered within the Intel Partner University? Intel Partner University offers a variety of digital training formats including, online video, and virtual and web-based trainings, at no cost to partners.

Do I have to be tied to a desktop to take the trainings? Partners can easily access Intel Partner University from their mobile devices to take training courses on demand. Most courses have been optimized for mobile platforms, so partners can learn at their own pace, wherever they are.

What languages are courses offered in? Many courses are available in multiple languages, including Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Is content personalized in the Intel Partner University? Partners will enjoy a new digital experience using AI-based content recommendations to make it easier to access relevant information. The first time an individual enters the Intel Partner University, they will be asked to answer several questions about their day-to-day job functions and areas of interest. Then the “My Home” content will display personalized information including profile information, recommended courses and popular courses. The “My Home” also allows individuals to quickly see and track where they are in the training journey.

How can I find courses? As partners begin their training journey, “Training” helps partners easily select from one of the five key topic areas: Client Computing, Network & Storage, Data Center, Programmable Solutions and IOT. To meet each partner’s needs, they can filter by course format, market segment, sales skills, and solutions or any combination of the above to narrow down the courses available.

Can I get a summary of my training and course progress? The “My Learning” feature keeps things organized by tracking all completed courses, while also signaling where someone leaves off if they don’t have time to complete the course in one sitting. Partners can also launch courses and keep track of the credits earned for each completed training in the “My Learning” section.

How do I access Webinars and can I register for webinar(s) directly from Intel Partner University? Webinars are now fully integrated into the overall training experience. Intel Partner University makes scheduling and tracking webinars effortless. The “Webinars” section allows partners to see a visual calendar and a synopsis of upcoming webinars. This enables anyone to easily pre-register for a webinar or click to join one live. Past webinars are available on-demand and can be viewed when and where partners choose.

Where can I get help if I have a technical issue or problem with the Intel Partner University platform? University users have three main ways of contacting Intel Customer Support after logging into the Intel Partner University platform.

If users have a login issue and are not able to login to Intel Partner University they can access https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/secure/partner/support/partner-phone-list.html to submit a ticket or they can call the Intel Call Center. The Intel Partner University web page has an interactive blade that will allow you to:

Intel® Partner University CompetenciesWhat are Competencies and what Competencies are available? Competencies are specialized training paths with defined curriculums to provide deeper training for our partners to grow their expertise on a variety of topics, solutions and specialties pertaining to Intel® products and technologies. Each Competency has its own training requirements and a designated number of training courses1. Additionally, to earn the associated digital badge(s) for the particular Competency, individuals must first pass the associated course exam.

Initially, Intel is offering 10+ Competencies across key areas including Intel® vPRO® Technology, Solutions for Gaming Systems, IOT Solutions, Intel® Optane™ Technology for the Data Center and Client, High Performance Computing on Intel, Cloud Infrastructure on Intel, Artificial Intelligence Foundations on Intel, and Intel® FPGA Fundamentals, with more being added regularly.

How does a Competency benefit the partner as a company? Partners can enhance their employees’ skills to be more competitive and knowledgeable. The Partner companies will also be able to market that their employees have earned Competencies.

Intel® Partner University BadgesWhat are badges? Digital badges are online representations of your Sales/Solutions and Technical Competency achievements that you add to an electronic resume, LinkedIn* or Twitter* profiles, email signatures, or personal and company websites. Each badge is unique to the individual that earns it. Clicking on the badge sends the viewer to a custom verification page that includes your name, Competency(s) held, skills and capabilities required of the Competency, and issue dates.

Intel is offering two types of badges —Intel Partner Technical Pro and Intel Partner Solution Pro. Below is a list of the badges available:

How do I earn the badges? Each Competency has different course criteria to earn the associated Competency. Typically, a series of courses must be taken and the associated tests passed. The digital badges associated with the Competency will be available to select partners based on membership status. Upon successful completion of the tests, qualified partner participants can obtain the associated digital badge.

How does a competency and badges benefit the individual? The Competencies help build the skills of an individual to be more effective with their customers and to be more competitive in the marketplace. Additionally, individual’s that complete a Competency, including the relevant testing, can display the digital badge on social media to promote their enhanced training and knowledge.

Why should I use the badges? You’ve spent valuable time studying, learning, and passing tests to obtain critical information for the particular Competency. By adding digital badges to your profiles, you are helping your customers and employers understand that you have taken additional training to be more knowledgeable about topic and related Intel® products and technologies. This Competency helps to differentiate you from other professionals.
