• Shuttles serve as a viable way to mitigate existing

challenges

• Better protection of natural and cultural resources

• Improve visitor safety and experience

• Opened dialogue among stakeholders

• Work within site limitations

• Decrease wear and tear on private vehicles and

roadway

• Expand services to different visitors arriving in RVs

and motorcycles

• Pilot shuttles anticipated for 2014 season

• USFS currently developing Chimney Rock

Management Plan, which will include potential shuttle

infrastructure to improve and expand shuttle operations
