● Coaches are significantly impactful and have the majority influence over health and well being of players
● Even the coach’s personality can affect injury risk
● Injury Risk Reduction Programs (IRRP) work. (30-60+% reduction)
● IRRP’s lead to better player availability which leads to more wins
● Coaches know IRRP’s work and know they lead to more wins
● Adherence to IRRP’s is still not very good
● IRRP’s take time to complete at the expense of coaching/training time because they are made to be separate
● These programs originate from Medical people and designed in medical terms
