PANOPLIA is an integrated mana-

gement system for the creation,

implementation and management of

the detailed design of reinforced

concrete buildings, as well as the

ordering of required materials such

as steel reinforcement.

With PANOPLIA, -SYSTEMS

uses the latest technology to simplify

the entire process of building design

and construction, thus bringing

significant advantages to engineers,

construction companies, contra-

ctors and suppliers.

All engaged parties that is, Detailed

Design Consultants, Rebar Manufa-

cturers, Construction Companies,

Formwork Contractors and

Concrete Suppliers enjoy efficiency,

maximum reliability and signifi-

cantly reduced costs.

Overall, PANOPLIA offers consistent and instantdetailed designs, efficient construction managementand unambiguous material procurement. As a result, construction companies, rebar manufacturers andother suppliers and contractors enjoy significant costsavings.

Any computer-literateuser is able to use PANOPLIA effectively. Thesystem simplifies several design, constructionmanagement and materials procurement tasks, thusrequiring less specialized personnel to carry outthese tasks.

The fastproduction of all drawings, catalogues etc. from asingle input, as well as the automatic update of thesein case of alterations, reduce dramatically the workrequired for traditionally time-consuming tasks suchas the compilation of reinforcement catalogues.

Thedetailed 3D visualization of the reinforced buildingframe offers to technicians complete understandingof the construction project on its entirety, as well asclear-cut visual “instructions” even for the mostcomplex of its reinforcement details.

Particularly:

Reduced personnel cost:

Reduction of labour-intensive tasks:

Enhanced Productivity of technicians:

GAIN MAXIMUM EFFICIENCYUnambiguous orders:

Time savings via efficient and error-freecommunication:

The exact calculation of therequired materials save time and cost from both theconstruction company and its suppliers.

Through its electronic workflowsystem, PANOPLIA reduces significantly the timerequired to exchange clear technical informationamong all parties involved.

1. Single Input – Multiple outputs

2. Automatic 2D detailed drawings

3. Accurate and detailed reinforcementcatalogues

A once-off input of the building frame and itsreinforcement results in the production of allnecessary detailed design drawings, RCsketches, 3D models, tabular data etc. Allde ta i led des ign outputs are merelyrepresentations of the same project and designdata, thus ensuring the consistency of allgenerated drawings, reports etc.

PANOPLIA generates automatically several 2Ddrawings including:

Floor plans with annotated reinforcementdetails and dimensions

cross section drawings with elevations anddimensions

diagrams showing the exact reinforcement ofeach column

All drawings are updated automatically whenthe structural elements or their reinforcementare altered by the user

PANOPLIAgenerates text-based reinforcementtables and catalogues of reinforcementsketches. The catalogues are based on the exactplacement of each individual piece of

reinforcement in a virtual 3D building frame. The fact thatthe catalogues are not merely the result of measurementbut the true placement of the reinforcement in a 3D modelof the building results in an unprecedented level of detailand accuracy.

PANOPLIA generates automatically a 3D model of thebuilding and its reinforcement down to the finest detail ofeach individual bar or stirrup. The model is presented in aninnovative virtual reality environment that allows the userto walk through the building in different modes andinteract with it. Any scene may be captured in aphotorealistic picture. Viewing and photos may bemonoscopic or stereoscopic (including stereoscopicmenus).

Using the user-friendly editing tools included inPANOPLIA, detailed designers, contractors and suppliersmay alter the building frame or the details of theirreinforcement in a snap. Drawings, reinforcementcatalogues, 3D models, bill-of-materials and, in general, all views of the detailed design are also updateddynamically and automatically!

PANOPLIA supports various construction practicesthrough an impressive level of parameterization.

4. onoscopic or stereoscopic 3D representation of thebuilding frame and all its reinforcement

7. Input from ETABS and StereoSTATIKA

8. Electronic workflow including e-order of materials

Capability to import the building frame and its analysisfrom popular analysis packages, such as ETABS andStereoSTATIKA, and automatically generate the detaileddesign of the building. The list of supported analysispackages will be expanded in the future.

PANOPLIA manages reliably the interaction andcommunication among design consultants, constructioncompanies, rebar manufacturers, formwork contractors, concrete suppliers etc.

For example, it manages the online order of steelreinforcement from a list of suppliers offering uniquebenefits to both the construction company and the rebarmanufacturer: it suitably groups and integrates therequired reinforcement for a project in accordance withthe needs of the client and automatically generates hisorder. Having generated the order of the reinforcement, the client dispatches it to selected rebar manufacturers(either through the Internet or through a documentgenerated by the system). Upon receipt of the order, eachsupplier may automatically issue an offer having insertedhis prices, and send an offer to the client. Clients are ableto easily send orders and receive offers from varioussuppliers, compare the tendered prices and proceed withthe acceptance or the rejection of an offer.
