INTANGIBLE
Impetus- Make the intangible tangible
If I make a dynamic, tangible sculpture representing an imperceptible force, assigning it interactive attributes from its spectrum’s data, I propose that participants interacting with it could form conclusions about its existence.
Proposition/ Hypothesis
Concept:
Interactive Electro-Kinetic sculpture inspired In the intangible shape and movement of radio frequency waves.
Interactivity:
Users are able to trigger a subtle vibration with the use of their cell phones.
The sculpture vibrates according to cell phone and WiFi Radio frequenciesin the ambient where installed.
Idea/ premises
Audience role: Make/receive calls
Target: Anyone that has or is near someone with a cell phone
Target and audience
Physical and digital communication forms to represent intangible
elements, like data, concepts or even words.
Evidence
Images from Google
Color: How it looks?Movement: How it travels? Shape: How it is formed?Interactivity: How it moves and invades our personal space?
Evidence

Technology: Cell phone and Wifi Radio frequency power detector
Design: Array of iridescent Acrylic
Mechanics: Stepper motors, eccentric wheels and tracks.
Analog frequency data is converted to physical movement
