X-Floc has been developing insulation blowing machines since 1994 in Renningen, Germany. During this period, the only insulation blowing machines available in Europe were from the USA. The X-Floc founders soon realised the disadvantages of these basic machines.
Many innovations and design standards have been developed in the field of pneumatic conveyance of insulation material by X-Floc since then. Several of them took root as state of the art.
The milestones, for example, are the machine’s easy-to-oper-ate and future-orientated control options with the remote con-trols FFB2000-Pro and FFB500, the dynamic pressure control, the automatic shut-down, the airlock ventilation, the far developed ergonomic standards, the machine’s compact and solid design and the closed filling hoppers with strip curtains and the pos-sibility of active dust extraction. Many of these innovations are standard equipment of X-Floc insulation blowing machines.
An important planning target of X-Floc has never changed
throughout the years: The insulation blowing machines shall have a high compatibility for all insulation blowing materials available on the market (cellulose, wood fibre, mineral wool, granules, bulk or composite material). That makes you, as a user, very flexible regarding the respective building project´s require-ments and responding to changes in the market.
The re-engineered very first M95 Zellofant is still being manufactured and many machines of the first generation are still working. This fact is, in itself, expressive enough. This machine is the symbol for insulation blowing technology in Europe. Thousands of users use this machine type this very day.
However, time does not stand still. The requirements for an insulation blowing machine grew with further development of insulation blowing materials. Still, X-Floc sets the standards (EM400 and EM300). Furthermore, special application fields have been developed which require particular insulation blow-ing technology (EMX90/EMX250).

Technical data
Characteristic Curves of the Most Important Machine Models
For quality assurance of the insulation blowing machines made by X-Floc, the complete system’s performance values, concerning blow-ers with hose routing, check valves and rotary airlock, will be recorded and logged. For this, a specially designed characteristic curve test bench will be used. Thereby, faults in the complete system can be reliably detected and eliminated. As part of the acceptance test, the measurement guarantees full capability of the elements installed in interaction.X-Floc hereby defines itself from other manufacturers and brands, which generally limit themselves by listing just the blowers’ totalized nominal values. However, these values may often differ significantly from the actual performance values.The air performance curves determined with the characteristic curve test bench allow, in addition, a detailed machine’s performance as-sessment and evaluation. This is due to the fact that the conveying pressure’s and air flow volume’s maximum values, without consider-ing the different in each application counterpressure (depending on many boundary conditions), have little significance for the perfor-mance assessment. The most commonly used “operating pressure” is according to experience in the range between 80 and 200 mbar. The respective insulation blowing machine’s characteristic curves represented graphically thus allow an effective comparison of the performance values at all real construction sites’ operating points.

Some insulation materials require a particularly high amount of air in order to perform the insulation properly. Some isolated installation situations require the overcoming high conveying heights or the use of long conveyor lines. Meanwhile, loose insu-lation materials have to be occasionally removed again.By using the X-Floc amplifier-/vacuum station technique, you can easily supplement the existing insulation blowing machine to the amplification system or you can use the machine as part of the suctioning process. The devices available range from mobile amplifiers for on-site use (VS28) to stationary solutions, suitable for factory fillings (VS55). All amplifier-/vacuum stations available can significantly increase the insulation blowing machines’ ove-rall power or, in combination with suitable accessories, can suc-tion small or large amounts of solid materials in a short amount of time. For optimal harmonization, please refer to the notes “Am-plification of the insulation blowing machines’ air performances”.
