Lists of SixASL Review

Instructions: Read the following 8 guidelines. Copy only the bolded words on to your own paper, then complete each list.

A. List 6 signs that use a flat handshape. (Flat is different than 5.)

B. List 6 signs that use a 1 handshape. (If you are in ASL II, III, or IV, try to find signs that aren’t actually classifiers).

C. Choose a handshape NOT used above and list 5 signs that use that handshape. State which handshape you will use.

D. List 6 signs where both hands are doing the same thing.

E. List 6 signs that only use the dominant hand.

F. List 6 signs with opposite movement in each hand.

G. List 6 signs that begin at your forehead. Only 1 of them may be a “family” sign.

H.List 6 compound signs (two signs that equal one English word) and write it as an equation, like Confused = THINK + MESSED-UP
