Game Maker – User Interface
A user interface allows the user to interact with a computer program. We will use the Game Maker UI to create computer games.
This is the Game Maker UI

Let’s get started• Open game maker software
• Switch to simple mode if you need to
• Create the Clown and Wall sprites using the resources in the shared area: S:\ICT\My Teacher\Mr Crossan\Year 7\Catch the Clown\Resources
![Page 10: Instructions Go to the shared area and open a file](https://reader036.fdocuments.us/reader036/viewer/2022062310/56816625550346895dd98127/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
Adding sounds• We need to add sounds to our game the same way as we added the sprite
• We only add sounds as game resources for now
• Later we will learn how to control when sounds are played in our game

Creating Objects• Sprites are on images. To make stuff move in our game we need to create objects
• We add control to our objects to create our game
• We need to objects – a wall that doesn’t move and the clown that does move.
