AERIAL FABRIC ACROBATICS http://aerialfabric.com/ Aerial Yoga or Dance Kit Instructions: AERIAL FABRIC ACROBATICS http://aerialfabric.com/ 1 Aerial Yoga Hammock or Aerial Dance Kit Instructions Your Kit will come assembled as a Flying Yoga Hammock. Please note how the Flying Hammock is assembled so you can re-create it after you convert your hammock to the other options. We have included instructions on how to re-assemble the Flying Hammock. You can also create a basic double point aerial hammock instead of the Flying Hammock. For all of the attachments, whether they use the 12” black web loops, the 9” black web loops, or the black 24” web multiple link, you will choke the web loop or multiple link directly to the fabric. We have included a few pictures to help you. Aerial Silks Set Up To Convert from a Flying Yoga Hammock: 1. Take the multiple links off of the fabric and untie the 12” runners from the fabric. 2. Find the middle of the length of the fabric and lay the black 9” web loop on the floor 3. Put the mid point of your fabric in the middle of the black 9” web loop (photo 1) 4. Insert one end of the black web into the loop of the other side, then pull tight: This is the “choke” (photo 2) 5. Add one of the caribiners as shown in photo (photo 3)

6. Create a half hitch at the bottom of where the black web loop is attached to the fabric. To create the first step of the half hitch, lay one side of the fabric over the other as shown: 7. Second part of the half hitch: pull the fabric through the loop created so the bottom of the fabric is drawn all the way through. Then tighten the half hitch. This half hitch is essential and will be repeated when you make any of the Aerial Hammocks, and also when you add the multiple links and 12” black web loops for the Flying hammock. Photos below show the half hitch in step 2 of the process and then step 3. 8. After the fabric is tightened, choke the second 9” black web loop. This is your safety and also helps keep the fabric “tails” separated for use. Put the caribiner through the loop of the black webbing at the top. Then put the second web loop through the caribiner.

Aerial Hammock Single Point Use 1. Using the ends of the fabric, not the middle, lay the ends of the fabric over the 9” black web loop. (photo 1) Have a tail of about 18 inches or more. Choke the black web to the fabric (photo 2). Add a caribiner (Photo 3). You can adjust the length of your hammock by sliding the web loop so there is more tail, but you want to always have about 18” to tie the half hitch.

2. Put a black web on the other end of the fabric so both ends have the black 9” web loop choked to the fabric. Put a caribiner on one loop.

3. Tie the essential half hitch to each end. To create the first step of the half hitch, lay one side of the fabric over the other (photo 1), then pull fabric through loop (photo 2)

Pull the fabric through the loop created so the tail of the fabric is drawn through the loop. Then tighten the half hitch. 4. Put the second black web loop on the caribiner. Both ends of the fabric should have a 9” black web loop and a half hitch. 5. Add the swivel and the second caribiner, then the multiple link if needed and the third caribiner. See photo of finished hammock ready to install on your attachment point.

Assembly as Flying Yoga Hammock 1. Attach each multiple link to the fabric about 3 yards from each end. You can adjust this length depending on need by sliding the multiple link after it is choked to the fabric. Lay the fabric on the end of the multiple link with the larger loop. Take the other end of the multiple link and thread it through the loop of the multiple link, then pull it tight. By doing this, you are “choking” the multiple link on the fabric.

2. Tie a half hitch under each of the multiple links. To tie the half hitch, lay the “tail” over the fabric creating a loop, then thread the “tail” through the loop and tighten. Add caribiner where you want on the multiple link. 3. Attach your 12” black web loops for handles close to the end of each tail by choking them on the fabric. Follow the instructions for choking the web loop to the fabric as seen in the Aerial Dance Set Up or in the Aerial Hammock. Remember to have at least 18” to create the essential half hitch for your handle of the flying hammock.

4. Flying hammock handles can be longer or shorter. You can adjust the height of your hammock by changing where you put your caribiner on the multiple link. Your kit can be assembled as a long double point hammock with no handles if you prefer. Follow the instructions for attaching the multiple links, but attach them closer to the ends of the fabric. In this set up, you would not use the 12” black web loops or the 9” black web loops. Hardware that should be included with your kit: 2 multiple links, 2 black 12” web loops, 2 black web 9” loops, 3 steel screw gate caribiners, 1 swivel. Depending on your ceiling height, you will have 9 yards of Tricot fabric, or 12 yards of Tricot Fabric.
