Sling Swivel Buffer Tube Boss Foam Overtube Recoil Pad Sling Mount Gusset Remove previously installed buttstock including buffer tube, buffer and buffer spring. Thread buffer tube into receiver and tighten. The 10 " Ultralite uses a standard A2 Buffer Tube. The 7.25 ” Ultralite uses an A2 Shorty Buffer Tube. Buffer tube may not be included and may need to be purchased separately. Remove 1/4-20×1/2" socket head screw from gusset. Slide gusset onto buffer tube, boss side toward the receiver, making sure to capture the takedown detent and spring. Reinstall the 1/4-20×1/2” socket head screw and tighten. Install foam overtube. If you have access to an air compressor, shoot air under the foam overtube while sliding it over the buffer tube. If you do not have access to an air compressor, lubricate the buffer tube and the inside of the foam overtube with a light oil (ex. WD-40) or soapy water. Slide clamp-on buttplate onto the end of the buffer tube. Secure the buttplate in place by using the provided 1/4-20×1/2” socket head screw. Place recoil pad into position (thickest side toward the top). Feed one of the 10-32×3/8" button head screws through the top hole of the recoil pad and begin to tighten. Do not tighten completely. Feed the second 10-32×3/8” button head scerw through the bottom hole in the recoil pad and tighten completely. Finish tightening the top screw. Over-tightening of the recoil pad screws may cause damage to the stock. Install sling swivel on desired side of the gusset. Install sling swivel on desired side of the gusset . Use the 10-32×1/4" but ton head screw to f ill the hole on the opposite side.
