Orifice plate calculations are done using the ISO 5167 (Miller) Method (replaces Spink Handbook Method), and can also include dynamic inlet pressure conditions. Safety Valve calculations are to API RP520 (1976), NFPA30 or API. Features of INSTRUCALC include ISA-type data sheets for all calculated results and the ability to create structured job databases, each containing a group of job tags. A database of 64 fluids is included with the program with properties for density, viscosity and vapour pressure and users can add their own fluids to the database . A pipe and pipe material database is included. In addition, INSTRUCALC still provides the popular built-in engineering unit options that allow any combination of English, SI or user units during a program run, making conversion tables unnecessary. The software also allows one to stop in the middle of a calculation, go to another routine to calculate further input data, obtain a printout, and then go back to the original calculation to use the input value. Data may be imported and exported to INSTRUCALC using ASCII files. The program offers full screen editing of all data screens, supports colour, built-in steam property calculations and rigorous error checking. INSTRUCALC 5.1 PLUS is an extended version of INSTRUCALC 5.0 which has several additional flowmeter calculations. This includes routines for AGA 3 (1990) Flow Orifice Plates, Integral Flow Orifice assemblies (quadrant or square edged), Target Meters, Elbow Flowmeters, Wedge Flowmeters, Chemical Seal Wedge Flowmeters, Vortex Flowmeters, Annubars (Pitot Tubes), and Rotameters.

Control Valve calculations are to ANSI / ISA-S75.01,1985 andinclude noise level calculations, and dynamic sizing. Orificeplate calculations are done using the ISO 5167 (Miller)Method (replaces Spink Handbook Method), and can alsoinclude dynamic inlet pressure conditions. Safety Valvecalculations are to API RP520 (1976), NFPA30 or API.Features of INSTRUCALC include ISA-type data sheets for allcalculated results and the ability to create structured jobdatabases, each containing a group of job tags.

A database of 64 fluids is included with the program withproperties for density, viscosity and vapour pressure andusers can add their own fluids to the database . A pipe andpipe material database is included. In addition, INSTRUCALCstill provides the popular built-in engineering unit options thatallow any combination of English, SI or user units during aprogram run, making conversion tables unnecessary. Thesoftware also allows one to stop in the middle of a calculation,go to another routine to calculate further input data, obtain aprintout, and then go back to the original calculation to use theinput value. Data may be imported and exported toINSTRUCALC using ASCII files. The program offers fullscreen editing of all data screens, supports colour, built-insteam property calculations and rigorous error checking.

INSTRUCALC 5.1 PLUS is an extended version of INSTRUCALC 5.0 which has several additional flowmetercalculations. This includes routines for AGA 3 (1990) Flow Orifice Plates, Integral Flow Orifice assemblies(quadrant or square edged), Target Meters, Elbow Flowmeters, Wedge Flowmeters, Chemical Seal WedgeFlowmeters, Vortex Flowmeters, Annubars (Pitot Tubes), and Rotameters.
