TERRITORIAL ORGANISATION
Spain is in the Northern Hemisphere, in southwestern Europe.
Spanish territories include: Iberian Peninsula, Canary Islands, Balearic Islands, smaller Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.

IBERIAN PENINSULA: begins south of the Pyrenees. It's bathed by seas: the Bay of Biscay (N), the Atlantic Ocean (W) and the Mediterranean Sea (E &S).
CANARY ISLANDS: in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Africa. Seven main Islands: El Hierro, Fuerteventura, gran Canaria, La Gomera, Lanzarote, La Palma and Tenerife.
BALEARIC ISLANDS: in the Mediterranean Sea. Fije main Islands: Cabrera, Formentera, Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca.
The cities of CEUTA and MELILLA: in the Northern Africa on the Mediterranean Coast.

SPAIN'S BORDERSA border is the line or frontier that separates one country fron another. Two types:
Natural Borders are natural landforms that separate two countries: mountains, seas, rivers, deserts...
Political borders are líneas established by agreement ( acuerdo) between two countries.
North: France, Andorra and the Bay of Biscay.
South: The Mediterranean Sea, Morocco and the Atlantic Ocean.
East: The Mediterranean Sea.
West: Portugal and the Atlantic Ocean.

ORGANISATIONSpain is divided in 17 Autonomous Communities and two Autonomous Cities: Ceuta and Melilla.
Autonomous Communities and Cities are governed by an Autonomous Parliament, a president and a government.
Provinces by aProvincial Council except in the Canary Islands because Each Island is governed by an Inter-Island Council.
Municipalities are governed by a mayor and local councillors.
