We have researched different distributions companies and we have found that Universal Pictures would be the best company to distribute our film. Universal Pictures are a well-known company for distributing action movies and because of their popularity they have gained a better reputation amongst other distributing companies. The reason as to why we have chosen Universal Pictures is because we believe that our film can achieve greater revenue. Some of the action films, which Universal Pictures have distributed, have been very successful; hence this is why we believe that our film can be as successful. Some of the famous and notable action movies that Universal Pictures have distributed are:

The reason as to why we believe that Universal Pictures will distribute our film is because our movie will consist of many conventions portrayed in action movies. The films above contain conventions such as having an engaging storyline which people are interested in watching. Based on the opening scene of these movies they contain jam-packed scenes full of action and a teaser that foreshadows what is to come later on in the movie. The films above also include binary opposites such as having a protagonist and antagonist relationship, this can be considered as a major aspect shown in most action movies, without this convention the would not be any suspense for which the audience can enjoy. Our film will include the following conventions:

The reason as to why we have decided to include these conventions in our movie is because most successful action movies will include these conventions, this is why they have such a large viewing audience. Universal Pictures distribute action films that contain these conventions because these types of films make larger profits.

We believe that the BBFC will give our film a rating of 15; this is because it contains violence, explicit language, drugs and drinking. This is not appropriate for children under the age of 15, because this can influence them in a negative way. However it should not be rated 18 because we believe that children aged 15 and above are mature enough to watch the movie only for entertainment purposes. Most successful action films are rated 15 and over, since our film has similar content to most action films, we believe our film should be rated 15.
