Emap are a content, subscription and networking business. Emap owns industry-leading brands that ‘sit at the heart of business’ like Retail, Health, Construction, Architecture, and Fashion.

Their purpose is to connect professional communities, and inspire them to know, to grow, progress and win.

They deliver their service through senior networking events; industry leading awards; online data products; social media communities; headline conferences and, of course, critical insight, news and analysis. A good thing about Emap is that they hear the market agenda, and create innovative solutions and better ways for our advertisers and sponsors to connect with their audience.

Overall, Epap have deep knowledge in what they to and strive to provide a good service.

PublicationsI do not think that Emap would be a suitable publisher for my magazine as they have no experience in either music magazines or teenagers (my target audience). There lack of familiarity in both my genre of magazine and my target audience will mean that they will not be able to help me in the best way possible.

Condé Nast is a mass media company headquartered in the Condè Nast Building in New York City. The company attracts more than 164 million consumers across its 20 print and digital media brands. Condé Nast mainly focuses on fashion for females.

Publications:

Allure, Architectural Digest, Ars Technica, Bon Appétit, Brides, Condé Nast Traveler, Details, Epicurious, Glamour, Golf Digest, Golf World, GQ, Lucky, The New Yorker, Self, Teen Vogue, Vanity Fair, Vogue, W and Wired.

Although Conde nast would be a great publisher when it comes to the fashion aspects of my magazine, they lack knowledge and experience with music magazines. They do however have experience with people around the age of my target audience, however I do not feel it is the most suitable publisher.

Natmags stands for “National Magazine Company. Natmags is a British magazine publisher based in London. Natmags mainly focuses on women's magazines, particularly fashion and lifestyle. However they focus on a wide range of subjects (mainly related to women) from weddings to women's health.

I would not deem this publishers to be the best option for my magazine because as mentioned on the other publishers, they do not have any experience with music magazines. As well as this, they also have little experience with people around the age of my target audience.

Baur Media would be a great publishers for my magazine as they have worked with 2 very famous music magazines; Kerrang! And Q. However I do not think they would be of much help when it came to the fashion aspect of my magazine.

I do not think that Future publishing is suitable for my magazine as they have no experience with teenagers and they have no experience with music magazines.

By far I think that IPC Media would be the best publisher with my magazine. They published one of the Music magazines that inspires me the most, NME. NME feature rock music meaning that they will already have experience in my genre. As well as this they have experience and knowledge in teenage magazines and fashion magazines meaning they would be able to assist me with many aspects of my magazine. I struggled to decide between IPC Media and Bauer Media due to them both having successful music magazines, however I think IPC Media has a wider spectrum of knowledge and will be able to help more with the fashion aspects of my magazine.
