outside; not cognizant both sides; it is not the consolidated one mass of cognizance; not the incognizant; inconceivable, unqualified, unthinkable, unperceivable, nonnegotiable; the Essence of Consciousness, underlying in all phases of Life. It is Peace, Auspicious, Non-dual, and The Fourth Atman to be realized.”

Turiya is not that which is conscious of the inner (subjective) world, nor that which is conscious of the outer (objective) world, nor that which is conscious of both, nor that which is a mass of consciousness. It is not simple consciousness nor is It unconsciousness. It is unperceived, unrelated, incomprehensible, un-inferable, unthinkable and indescribable. The essence of the Consciousness manifesting as the self in the three states, It is the cessation of all phenomena; It is all peace, all bliss and non-dual. This is what is known as the Fourth (Turiya). This is Atman and this has to be realized. The Fourth (Turiya) is without parts and without relationship; It is the cessation of phenomena; It is all good and non—dual. This AUM is verily Atman. He who knows this merges his self in Atman—yea, he who knows this

The triad world of Jiva, that is the individual person (Jivatriloki) has the three bodies, viz. causal, subtle, and gross, physical, that is the soul, or Atma, heart and body.Beyond these is the fourth state which is called Turiya. But, the Turiya which is at the top of Para brahman has been given special importance.when there will be the knowledge of the Turiya or Fourth State of Consciousness the knowledge of the other three will necessarily come. This is the defect and not a perfect condition. In the state of “Turiyateeta” the above state defect is bypassed by overcoming. Such conscious state is called “Shudha Sat” Pure existence. Turiya is an endless condition of un-objectified Consciousness. The yogi by practice comes to be established in this endless Awakening.Turiya state is limitless; it forms the sub-stratum, for waking state, dream state and sleep-state of consciousness. Turiya is the condition of of Divine-Vision or Diya-Drishti.The turiya of the Jiva is always with the Jiva and is never separated.Turiya or Divine-vision, is found to exist in all potentially. In some it gets awakened with little attention towards it. And, in some others much efforts and practice has to be done, even after which it is not easily atainable. Of-course it cannot remain permanent. However the flow of Turiya is continuous as Consciousness in the Waking and Dream states of consciousnes. By gradual practice when the mind attains its form, there will be permanancy in it without any possibility of suspension. An Astral Transmission, Through Prof.Satyanarayana Chillapa President IUSCM, Hyderabad-59, India

Divine Intervention It is a common conception in all the world religions, that God, creates, sustains, and

dissolute the universe. When we say that God creates it does not mean that, they are “dropped from the sky”. Objects and people

are created through, ‘You, and Me’ the human agency as indicated in the following verses:

Sarvopi Vyavaharastu Brahmana Kriyate Jenaihi”

     सव ऽिप यवहार तु ब्र मणा िक्रयते जेनैिह Meaning: All activities are carried out by Brahman through

people. In other words we are all the ‘instruments’ in the hands of providence for creation. Thus, Divine Intervention is the mechanism of the creational process. Divine intervention occurs at two levels viz. Micro level and Macro level. Micro-level of Divine intervention takes place, largely at personal level so as to relieve individual person’s afflictions of various types. Bhagavan Sri Krishna Himself, sorted out these in the following verses:

Chetur vidhaa bhajante maam, janaah sukrutino Arjuna Aarto, jijnaasurarthaarthi, jnani, cha Bharatarushabha

चेतुिवर्धा भज ते मां जेनः सुकु्रितनॉजुर्न

आत िज नसुरथार्िथर् ज्ञानी च भरतषर्भ “ (Ref: Gita-7-16)

Meaning: Four types of devotees of noble deed worship Me, Arjuna, namely, the seeker after worldly possessions, the afflicted, the seeker for Knowledge, and the Man of Wisdom: O best of Bharatas. We mortals are suffering afflictions (Aartho ) at physical level as ill-health; at mental level suffer emotionally, likes, dislikes, anger, passion etc. at intellectual level conditions like respect-disrespect, gain and loss etc. And, we pray God for health for physical-level relief: and pray for prosperity (Artharthi ) , While, Jignasi is the one who is curious to know all about the Divine and its laws, of operation. And, the last one is Jnani who is the seeker of Self and God realization. And Bhagavan declares in the following verses that the Jnani, is most dearest to Him, since, he is undifferentiated One, with his own Self:

Teshaam jnaani Nityayukta Aek Bhaktirvishishyate

priyo Hi Jnaanino Atyarthamaham Sa Cha Mama priyah

तेषां ज्ञानी िन ययुक्त ऐक भिक्तिवर्िश यते िप्रयो िह ज्ञािननो अ यथर्म म ्स च मम िप्रयः

Meaning: of these the best is the man of wisdom, ever established in Identity with Me and possessed of exclusive devotion for Me; Such a one is extremely dear to Me. (G.7-17).

(1) Under this category of Micro-level Divine-Intervention,

includes all kinds of daily worship to Gods offering all material objects of various types ranging from leafs, (Patram), flowers fruits, ornaments etc under various vows made during afflictions and fulfil desires (kama). This divine act of vows is based on Law of Nature that “Nothing comes for nothing”: It is just like the farmer sacrifice small quantities of seed by sowing in the field expecting several bags of crop-seed, in return from nature.

Under this category of Divine-intervention there are many examples. And, one is a famous popular incidence recorded by great Rishi and sage Vyasa in the world famous epic- Mahabharata. Once upon a time, Bhagavan Sri Krishna visited Royal Palace of prince Pandavas. And, there he was offered fruits; while cutting the fruit Bhagavan, accidently cut his finger and blood was oozing. Immediately, Princes Drauparhi who was attending on Him, tore her silk sari and tied to the finger of Bhagavan. And, this trivial incidence was forgotten by all. But, Bhagavan Sri Krishna did not forget, and He as ‘‘Divine-Intervention” compensated by bestowing end-less saris (wearing clothes) to Princes Drawpathi when she was humiliated by attempting to make her naked by pulling her clothes in the Royal court by The Kauravas the enemies of Pandavas. Another famous recorded example, of Micro-cosmic Divine intervention, is:- Telugu-poet Bhakta Pothana, who was writing his famous epic “Bhagavatam”. In that famous literary-venture, there is a scene to describe lay-out of Heaven. The Poet Pothana, was stuck-up, there unable to express poetically for want of conceptual imagination of the

Heaven, with sufficient suitable words. Tired and exhausted, The-Great-Poet left the house to nearby forest for refreshing his imagination. Lo! At that moment the miraculous wonder of “Divine-Intervention” has occurred. Bhagavan Sri Rama, the titular deity of Bhakta Pothana entered the house in his absence, in the garb of The Poet – himself, and wrote That-Pending Scene of heaven, in the epic script of “Bhgavath-Purana” and left the house in the very presence of his daughter, who served the Bhagavan in the mistaken garb of her father himself. The Great-Poet discovered the incident from his daughter on return from outside-walk, by finding the completed left-over poetic-scene of Heaven inscribed in the text, Many of you, the readers, might have experienced, knowingly or un-knowingly, such incidents of ‘Divine-intervention’ at different phases of your busy life getting succour of relief from mental oppression.

(2) Macro-Cosmic Divine Intervention: Re-incarnation of Jesus Christ after Crucification is the suitable example of Macro Cosmic Intervention of Divinity. Likewise, we have in our “Puranic literature “the description of Ten Incarnations (Avataras) of Bhagavan-Vishnu, at various historical stages of creational process of the Universe, called as “Deshavataras” . These Avataras (descent of god), are the veritable examples of Macro-Cosmic Divine Intervention, so as to eliminate the wicked , arrogant, human entities, called Rakshasas, and to establish peace (shanti) and, righteousness (dharma ), This aspect of cosmic-Divine-Intervention is beautifully described in the following verses Lord Krishna Himself in the famous scripture, called “ Bagavat-Gita” :

“yadha Yadha hi dharmasya glanirbhavati bharata abhyutthanam adharmasya tadatmanam srjamyaham

यदा यदा िह धमर् य ग्लािनभर्वित भारत अ य थानमधमर् य तदा मानं ुजयंाहं

Page 7: INSTITUTE OF UNIVERSAL SELF CONSCIOUSNESS MOVEMENT News Bulletin - 2017_06.pdf · INSTITUTE OF UNIVERSAL SELF CONSCIOUSNESS MOVEMENT ... - Telugu-poet Bhakta Pothana, who was writing

Meaning: “Arjuna, whenever righteousness is on the decline, and unrighteousness is in the ascendant, then I body Myself forth-with My ‘'Soul-Power”.

“paritranaya sadhunam vinasaya ca duskrtam dharmasamsthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge”

पिरत्र य साधूनां िवनाशाय च दु कृतां धमर्सं थापनाथार्य संभवािम युगे युगे

Meaning: “For the protection of the virtuous, for the extirpation of evil doers, and for establishing Dharma (righteousness) on a firm footing, I am born from age to age”. (Ref:Gita Ch. 4 Verses 7 & 8). If this live-process is truly understood, there is no human sufferance. But, unfortunately, we think as the “doers” and suffer by taking the responsibility for the consequences, as ‘ego’. In truth, it is the ego that suffers the enjoyment of the action, and not the Self, Atman, which is beyond all the fluctuations of the mental-sufferance. Thus, human personality-psych has two components involved in transactional-life, Atman called Self, or Spirit, and its shadow on mental-plane called ego, which is valid only two-phases of Consciousness, namely, waking-state, and dream state. Ego is absent in the sleep-phase of consciousness, because mind is dormant, and cannot reflect the Atman’s shadow as ego. So entire regime-of transaction-life of ego, comes to stand-still in sleep phase of consciousness. The human sufferance is only in/at, relational phases of consciousness and not at the ‘Absolute-phase’ of Consciousness. It means the ego, the relational-phase of consciousness seeks the “Divine intervention” to mitigate its sufferance in waking and dream phases of Consciousness. The permanent solution for the ego-sufferance comes when it realizes it’s-True-Self, Atman, undertaking-activities that helps it to transcend the arena of mind-psych, in “Trans-mental-Consciousness”. This “Needs” Divine-intervention, for which the ego has to exert. The learned Sages have advised that one has to go-beyond all so called knowledge of academic learning

arriving at “Knowledge lessness” as stated in the following verses of Rushes of yore.

Naya Matma Pravachanena Labhyo Na Medhya Na Bahona Shrutena

Yame Vaishya Vrunnute Tena Labhya Stha saisha Atma Vrunnu Tae Tanoom Swam

“नायमा मा प्रवचनेन ल यो न मे य न बहूना ुतेन

यमे वै य वणृतुे तेन ल य त यैष आ म िव वणृतुे ते तनूं वाम”्

Meaning: “This Atman cannot be attained by the study of Vedas, nor by intellect, nor even by much learning; by him it is attained whom It ( God ) Chooses, this, his ( own ) Atman, reveals its own ( real ) form. (Ref: Kathopanishad- Chapt.2-Sl.23) Bhagavan Sri Krishna Him-self, indicated “The Way” and “The Means” for “Divine-Intervention” to-get relief in the troubled, and afflicted life of human-psych in the following verses:

Sarva Dhrmaanparityajya Maamekam Sharanam Vraja Aham TvaaSarva Paapebhyo Mokshaishyaami Maa Shuchaha’

सवर् धमार्न ्पिर य य मामेकं शरण ं ज

अहं वा सवर् पापे यो मोक्षै यािम मा शुचह Meaning: Resigning all duties to Me, the all powerful and

all supporting Lord, take refuge in Me alone; I shall absolve you all sins, worry not. (Ref: Gita-18-66).

The easiest way to achieve his set-condition for the “Divine-Intervention” in our troubled-life, we advise the process of “Self-Surrender” as indicated in following verses”

“ Twameva mata pitaa twameve Twameva Bundhus cha Sakhaa twameva

twameva Vidhyaa Dravinam twamev Twameva Sarvam mama Deva deva”

वमेव माता िपता वमेव वमेव ब धु च सखा वमेव वमेव िव या द्रिवणं वमेव – वमेव सवर्ं ममदेवदेव

Meaning: O! God though is mother, father, friend, and the relative; thou alone are knowledge, and prosperity. Though alone is All, my Lord of lords Swamiji SPECIAL FEATURE COLUMN From: Ravi (USA) Swamiji, Namaskaram! Please see the below: Swamiji asked the below question to all the seekers in spiritual quest following the Meditation session last Sunday (7th of May 2017):

“When that goes, everything goes; but that alone remains. Where, when and how?”

Swamiji has reminded us on several occasions that, according to the Advaita Philosophy of Vedanta, Universe (at the macrocosmic level) is only a reflection of the all-pervading, eternal, Pure Consciousness (Para Brahman); and Jeeva or the empirical self is a reflection of the eternal Soul (Atman). Maya, at the macrocosmic level, and Mind, at the microcosmic level, act as instruments of reflection.

He emphasized that Avidya (Ignorance of one’s true identity) is the root cause for perceiving the objects of the universe as real; and that removal of such ignorance will merge the Jeeva into the eternal Para Brahman or Ultimate Reality, just like how the sun rays merges back with the sun upon removal of the mirror.

The following sloka in Dakshinamoorthy’s Stavam explains this phenomenon in clear terms:

िव वं दपर्ण यमाननगरीतु यं िनजा तगर्तं प य ना मिन मायया बिहिरवो भूतं यथा िनद्रया यः साक्षा कु ते प्रबोधसमये वा मानमेवा वयं

Meaning: The Entire World is Like a City Seen within a

Mirror, the seeing happening within One's Own Being. It is witnessing happening within the Atman, (the Witnessing) of the Externally Projected World; Projected by the Power of Maya; As if a Dream in Sleep. One Experiences this Directly (this Play of Maya) during Spiritual Awakening within the Non-Dual Expanse of One's Own Atman, Salutations to Him, the Personification of Our Inner Guru Who Awakens This Knowledge through His Profound Silence; Salutation to Sri Dakshinamurthy. (Citation: Taken from Ramakrishna Paramahamsa writings) The answer to the question now becomes evident.

When “Mind or Maya” goes away, the “apparent perception of the objects of the Universe” also goes away; and the Eternal Ultimate Reality (Para Brahman) alone remains.

Where does it go away? – The objects of the Universe merge back into the source – one’s true identity – the Ultimate Reality (Para Brahman). When does this happen? – It happens only when the Avidya (Ignorance of one’s true identity) is removed. How can this happen?

– Swamiji has indicated in his book, “Book of Knowledge Divine” that establishing a direct link with a divine personality who has attained and established in the Ultimate Reality (Brahma nishta) will purify one’s mind and thus removes Avidya. The technique of Pranahuti Meditation initiated by such a Brahma nishta and constant remembrance of such a Guru can be the only solution.

We continue to have the good fortune of getting spiritual blessings and guidance from such a Brahma nishta in the form of Swamiji, and the unique opportunity of getting initiated by him into Pranahuti Meditation. With your blessings, Ravi LETTERS From: vamsi kadagala Namaskaram Swamiji,

As suggested by you I am following guidelines which you have shared to me. With Master's blessings and with help of Narender Reddy garu I am progressing well in my spiritual journey.

Today while doing evening meditation a strange incident happen to me. After doing 10 min of cleaning process i went into a state where i felt like divine energy flowing like a shower for couple of minutes and then I lost. I didn’t know my existence. When I realized my self I felt like divine energy still flowing and my chest area filled with full of divine energy and I feel pressure points at my forehead from where energy is flowing into my body. In couple of minutes my alarm rang which means 30 min over. I could only remember initial 10min and last 5min. I lost in between. I tried to come out of that state but I could not, it took me 20 more minutes to come out of that state. After opening my eyes I was in a different mode. My body present but my mind not in my control it still roaming somewhere, I stranded at the same place for 15min and then I come to normal state. Is my state of

mind ok? is it some thing every abhyasi feel? Need your help to understand this condition. Sincerely, Vamsi Krishna Kadagala From: Swamiji May 13, 2017 Dear Sri Dharmin Mehata Ashirwad

Glad to receive your em. After a long time, But, to know that you are doing meditation regularly, it is so heartening. Do not bother about the incoming thoughts; they would subside as you go on practicing meditation. Swamiji is in touch with you (astrally) every morning at 5.am. By conducting transmission of pranahuti. You are Welcome. The prayer is very important to guide into transcendental consciousness. Remember Master regularly. It is a great help in the process of Self-Realisation. Ask Ravi to send you a copy of the Master With Best Wishes Swamiji. From: Dharminn Mehta, May 13, 2017 Sri Swamiji,

It has been a month since you initiated me with your blessings towards the path of self realization and self consciousness.

I wanted to share with you about my experience and continue to receive your guidance and blessings.

Almost everyday ignoring my travel days, I have been able to practice my prayer as per the instructions. I see myself being able to gradually train my mind to attend to the thoughts as un-invited guests, and in that effort, I do see an evolving mechanism that is emerging and seems to be working. Although I have to admit I do struggle many days and find it difficult at times, but I am remaining hopeful to attain my goal due to my dedication.

prison during the time of Kamsa. My mother was imprisoned in it. There is a place in Nandgaon, where is a dhobhi ghat . There is a hillock near your father-in-law’s house. The well of kubja has been leveled to the ground” Today at 9.45 A.M. Brother—K, was made to complete the journey of the brahmanda mandal and was put in the stage of prabrahmanda. At about 10.35 AM. I received transmission from Lord Krishna for about seven minutes. I received orders to illuminate the banks of the river Jamuna in Mathura up to a distance of four to six miles. I was ordered to do the same work in Brindavan also. (Ref:Autobiography of Ram Chandra, Vol.3/2P.228. Pub. SRCM,Chennai, India) (3)Letter from Saint Kasturiji Lakhimpur Dated:13-1-1957 Revered Sri Babuji, Saadar Pranam.

You would have received my letter which I had sent through dadaji. Everybody is well here and hope the same for you all there. I am now writing about my spiritual condition whatever it is by the grace of the Master. My condition is such that if I may remain sitting with eyes closed in a usual way without doing any Pooja and there after on opening my eyes (God knows the reason why) I fail to see anything for at least five to six minutes. Both are the same to me whether I remain my eyes opened or closed. Neither I see anything nor do I feel anything touching it makes no difference to me whether I remain walking with my eyes open or closed. I see that earlier there was a sort of craving in me that I have to reach the Master. I have to achieve Him and I have to die for Him. But now there is no such craving; there is rather peace in the heart. Neither there is thirst nor craving in me. If I repeat these things in the heart, it seems that there is no effect on the heart. God knows what has happened to me whatever I do it seems to me a sheer show purpose. What may I do? Either I had promised and determined

to die for my Master who was merged with my each breath and with my soul as well, but now it seems to me as if the heart has totally washed and cleaned itself with all this. The heart is the least affected by all that. If I may beat myself I am not at all injured. If I may scold anybody the voice is not heard. It seems that the oil of this lamp has become dry. The winding key of the machine has become loose. The red color of Kalawa (a sacred thread) can not be distinguished. I have given Kalava to Amma and said that this is the Kalava, the red color Kalava could not be found. But Master manages and takes care of me in each every situation and condition. Amma conveys her blessings to you and Kesar her pranam. Love to younger brothers and sisters. Yours most humble daughter, Kasturi (4)Dr. K.c. Vardachari (continued fro last Month Issue)

“The one original consciousness is firstly revealed as Absolute Identity having the power to become many selves. The one-self becomes many selves in manifesting itself though it is absolutely unconditionally real because it is its own nature. The many are limited manifestations which would lose their identity on becoming free from limitations. It is necessary to consider these limitations, upaadhis as the power of self-determinations or self-limitation for the sake of play or whatever purpose might be credited to that absolute consciousness. The crucial point in Bhasakara’s theory consists however in this doctrine of Release. The formal character of Brahman becomes more and more pronounced and release seems to be the attainment of the full and complete formal perfection of the genus by the individual. Moodho Na-Aapnothi Thad Brahma Yatho Bhavithum-Icchati Annicchan-Api Dheero Hi

Para-Brahma-Swaroopa-Bhaak” मूढो ना नोित त ब्र म यथो भिवतंु इ छित अि न छन अिप धीरोिह परब्र मा व प-भाक

Meaning: The fool does not attain Brahman for, he desires to become it. The Wise one certainly realizes the Nature of the Supreme Brahman without desiring to do so.

Amplification: The impulse behind all meditation is to realize and this very desire is the last link that holds the student on to the seat of his struggles without allowing him to guide peacefully into the realm of the Pure Self. Therefore, this burning desire to realize (Mumukshutwa) is being removed from the bosom of the mature student. When the student has become completely introvert he has to again lift himself from the material world. The mind is to be transcended. Thought-less mind is the main support for enlightenment. So long as there is even the “desire-to-realise,” the student cannot transcend his mind. To give-up the very desire is the last effort-self act and in this effortless is the Awakening. That you want to become Brahmanis a ”wrong-idea”, “you can never become Brahman”, “ this is a false notion”. You are already Brahman. Never desire to become Brahman; You may desire “To Be Brahman” At this stage, when the student has already fulfilled all the trainings he must strive to remain in the Divine-State of just ‘Be”. Meaning: Sought after even by Brahma (who rules over heaven) and the ultimate goal of those who are exclusively devoted to Self-Realisation, You are attainable only by him who is full of devotion, and are difficult of access to all other mortals. (7) Yogavasista

“Samataa Kaasaha vadbhuootvaa yattu Syaallina maanasam Avikaara manaa yaasam tadevaa archanamucyate.”

समता कासह व भू वा य ु यािलना मानसम ्अिवकार मना यासम ् तदेवा अचर्नमु यते

Meaning: That alone is regarded as worship which is performed when one is in a state of equanimity like that of space, when the mind has become utterly quiescent without the least movement of thought, when there is effortless absence of perversity.

Explanation: Established in the state of equanimity the wise man should experience infinite expansion within him while carrying out his natural actions externally without craving or rejection. Such is the nature of the worshipper of this intelligence. In his case delusion, ignorance, and the ego-sense do not arise, even in dream. Remain in this state O sage, experiencing everything as a child does. Worship the Lord of this body (the intelligence that pervades) with all that is brought to you by time, circumstance and environment, and rest in supreme peace, devoid of desire.

How to Meditate: First hear Vedanta and with your intellect understand that

behind Jagratha, Swapna, and Sushupti, there is a Witness. Adopt a comfortable posture. Try to produce a ‘Budhi’ Vritti by affirming ‘That All-pervading Infinite Consciousness I am’. The shortest Mantra containing this meaning is, “so-Ham”—That Infinite Consciousness I am”. When you repeat mentally “So-

Ham”, the Anthakarna (mind) will be having just one Vritti. It cannot be Mano-Vritti (mental thought) because the mind can operate only in association with one or other sense organs, and in this case there are no sense organs functioning. Agin, it cannot be Chitta-Vritti (forgetting-remembering faculty of mind), as you are not trying to remember anything, for you have not located the Self, yet. It is only Buddhi Vritti (Intellect-notion). (Continued in next month issue) (Ref: Book of Knowledge Divine, 2nd edition,P.11; IUSCM, Pub. BABUJI MAHARAJ 118 JAYANTHI CELEBRATED AT ASHRAM, IUSCM H. Q., HYDERABAD

Samartha Sadguru Sri Ramachandra Maharaj 118th Birth day was celebrated with reverence and deep devotion at Sahaja.Marga Raja Yoga Dhyana Gruhastha Ashram.IUSCM H.Q at Hyderabad on Sunday on 30 April 2017 Swamiji, as per the custom of the Ashram, commenced meditation session at 10 am. During the session Associates experienced deep transmission by divine grace of Master. Soon after the session, Swamiji conducted spiritual interaction. Swamiji briefly covered the life sketch of the Master and informed that Babuji Maharaj established Sri Ramachandra Mission on the name of His Adi Guru

Sri Ramachandra Maharaj ( Lalaji Maharaj) in1945.Babuji Maharaj made Yoga process more simple and easy to follow to reach the ultimate state. Mind is source for all outside activities and. the mental sacrifice is far superior than the physical sacrifice, Swamiji gave the example of those who take sanyasa outwardly but not mentally. Adi Sankarachrya's concept of Maya was explained by Swamiji. Incidentally Adi Sankaracharya Jayanthi also coincided with the day. Swamiji further elucidated that three things were most difficult in the world:

1 To get Manava Janma 2'Jignasa' to know One Self and Para Brahman

3 To get Samartha Sadguru to show the path and take us to Para Brahman. Finally Swamiji concluded that "I" is nothing but Consciousness.

The programme was concluded with distribution of prasad and serving lunch to all participants

May our Masters Babuji Maharaj, Lalaji Mahara and Swamij bless all the Associates with their infinite Grace for their spiritual progress as well as their physical wellbeing? V Gpala Krishna Rao Celebrations @ Kookaburra creek yoga centre (Perth, Australia) The puja at the Havan Kunda Beloved Swamiji

Thank you for the reminder regarding Mahtma Sri Babuji Maharaj's Birthday event, which falls due on 30th April-Sunday.

Sri Ramchandra born on the auspicious day of Baisakh Badi Panchami in the Vikram Samvat 1856 (30th April 1899) at Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, India is the inspired founder of the INSTITUTE OF UNIVERSAL SELF CONSCIOUSNESS MOVEMENT of which our revered Swami Satyanarayana is the vehicle of transmission to us all.

With reverence and devotion a sacred Havan was performed at Kookaburra Creek Yoga Centre in Perth to mark and celebrate the occasion. A group of twenty or so guests gathered together under the new moon in the Havan kunda near the hall and with Sri Murali and Sri Venu assisting, Robert performed the ceremony with Mandy at his side. The Mantras were chanted by Swami Venkatesananda and the detail followed precisely to offer our respects to this great Master and founder.

Following the Havan, the group sat in meditation inside the hall for some further period and then a hearty soup and bread dinner was provided for all at the house with much conversation of a spiritual nature and many questions asked and answered.
