INTRODUCTION : Institute of Teacher Education is one of the vital bodies of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University which epitomizes the manifestation of teaching excellence and research attitude among its pupil teachers and researchers. ITE has been envisioned to introduce and initiate future teachers into the process of transformation into efficient and competent beings who can lead and guide the children of tomorrow towards the world of knowledge and inculcate in them human values. With holistic training components, skill-orientation and value-education as the foundation of the teacher education, ITE has a vision of developing the future teachers who can take the task of shaping the next generation of students with a sense of responsibility for the nation. It has facilities to carry out research work in various aspects of education. ITE attracts large numbers of students from all corners of the country. ABOUT THE INSTITUTE: The Institute of Teacher Education came into existence in the year 2005, at present Prof. C. D. Agashe is holding the post of Head of the Institute and he is nurturing the ITE in a commendable manner.The Institute offers graduate and post graduate degree programs in Education. It enrolls 50 students in B.Ed. course and 50 students in M.Ed. course annually. Students of B.Ed. course are required to qualify the Pre- B.Ed. Our mission is to impart quality education to the students based on innovative teaching
practices, preparing them to excel, to face all the challenges in their professional life and
to develop them with competence and skills in their respective discipline.
Our programme shall develop inclusiveness among the individual, society and world as a
whole so that the teachers are not just adept in their subjects but can also facilitators of a
broader perspective/outlook.
To promote creative thinking, positive attitude, scientific temper and healthy competence
among students.
To creates awareness and sensitises the younger generation to shoulder greater
responsibility towards presenting nature and humanity.

COURSE STRATEGY:
ITE has incorporated certain unique strategies to enrich the training programme. The
Institute has chalked out mechanisms and procedures for:
Preparing a calendar for all activities, including school internship. The school internship
and other school contact programmes has been synchronized with the academic calendar
of the school.
Transaction of the perspective in education, curriculum and pedagogic learning material
are done using multiple variety of approaches.
School teachers are invited to Teachers Education Institution for giving guest lectures
and feedback to student teachers.
To initiate discourse on education by periodically seminars, debates, lectures and
discussions for students and faculty are organised.
DISTINGUISHED FEATURES:
Minimum 80% Attendance is a must and this rule is strictly followed.
The institute has highly qualified, competent and dedicated faculty for teaching.
AVAILABLE FACILITIES:
ITE is endowed with Computer Lab, Psychology Lab, Library, Science Lab,
Language Lab, Wi-Fi Campus and carry out teaching with the help of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT). Faculties of ITE impart knowledge to the pupil teachers
with the assistance of Power Point Presentation .

Alumni of the institute are placed in renowned educational institutions and various other
institutes of State and Central Government. Several have qualified for competitive
examinations like UGC-NET and central and state level TET.
