Brief Introduction of Candidates for Election to the 2011/2013 ISMHK Council

ISMHK is the body corporate running ISM Pearl River Delta (ISM-PRD) since November 2009 pursuant to the decision made by the ISMHK Council elected at the 7th AGM held in the same month. The two-year term of the current ISMHK Council is expiring at the 9th AGM of ISMHK. Eighteen (18) candidates, including fourteen (14) current Council Members, are standing for election to be members of 2011/13 Council. Their brief profiles are listed in alphabetical order of surnames as follows:

1. AU Chun Lai, Pippo (Current Council Member)

� Pippo is supporting the procurement function of catering business with annual turnover over US$1.5 billion. He is currently leading a procurement team which specialises in food materials including frozen, dairy and bakery categories. Other than regular role of procurement he is now leading the development of strategic sourcing and open book costing program at Maxim’s Group

� During the past five years, he was assigned the roles of ERP supply chain team leader and food Safety/QA advisor at the company. Prior to joining Maxim’s, he has been working in the field of hotel procurement and risk assessment consultancy at international organization.

� He holds a bachelor degree in International Business Administration from Macquarie University, and a master degree in Global Supply Chain Management from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is also the holder of CPSM accreditation since 2010.

� As a current Council Member, he serves voluntary support at ISM-PRD since 2006 and is willing to contribute particularly in enhancing the IT infrastructure and administrative foundation in the coming session.

2. CHAN Kam Biu, Daniel (Current Council Member)

� Daniel started his career in electronics industry from 1983 after graduation from University of Hong Kong, and then joined in Wong’s Circuit PTH Company Limited as the process engineer and then the product manager. Then he joined IBM in 1987 as the procurement engineer and has worked in IBM global procurement organization for more than 20 years with various responsibilities till today as the Chairman of IBM Global PCB Council. Now, he is leading a global professional team to create the best end to end premium PCB solution for both IBM internal and external clients across different level of technologies.

� He is the current President of ISM-PRD and Honorary Advisor of HKPC and HKPCA, and the member of Environmental Protection Industrial Training Group of Vocational Training Council.

� Academically, he was awarded Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemistry, Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies, Postgraduate Diploma of Procurement Management and Master Degree with Credit in China Business studies.

� He wishes that by being part of the leadership of ISM-PRD, we can further promote the professional status and contribute to the supply management field through enhancing the networking & learning of practitioners in the Pearl River Delta community

3. CHU Man Wai, Raymond (Current Council Member)

� Raymond is currently the General Manager of Program Contractors Ltd and has been actively leading the development of the Procurement and Logistics Departments in the company. Prior to that, Raymond was the Global Product

Manager and Business Development Manager of Southco Asia Ltd, which manufactures engineered access hardware for diversified industries such as Transportation, Consumer Electronics, Enterprise Hardware, Marine, Medical Equipment, etc

� He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, University of HK; He also holds the credentials of CDipAF, ACCA. He obtained his C.P.M. in 2006 and CPSM in 2009

� He is ISMHK member since 2006 and a current Council member. He wants to promote the profession of Supply Chain Management and the ISM-PRD in HK & mainland China.

4 . HAU Wing Hong, Jacky (Current Council Member)

� Jacky is now associated with PCCW. He has more than 10 years’ working experience in purchasing profession majority from electronic manufacturing environment of multinational companies. Involvement not only includes purchasing, but also on quality assurance and supply chain operations. Joining activities organized by ISMHK in past years had broadened Jacky with the knowledge and exposure about various purchasing practices and considerations at different industry.

� Jacky is a member of ISMHK since 2005, he is a current Council Member and Director & Leader, IT Infrastructure of ISM-PRD

� Jacky is willing to continue to contribute volunteering services to support the development of the Institute and promotion of the profession in purchasing and supply

5. LAI Gar Wing, Godwin (Current Council Member)

� Godwin is currently working in Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks

Corporation as Senior Manager, Procurement. Previously he worked as Purchasing Services Leader of Asia Pacific in Nortel Networks and Procurement Manager in Amoy Food. He holds over 20 years working experience in supply management field.

� He earned his MBA from Wayne State University, USA and obtained his CPSM in 2010

� Godwin is a current Council Member and his aspiration is to promote ISM-PRD in the procurement profession by participating in and organizing seminars and site visits. He would also like to enhance the procurement profession in the community by organizing networking functions with other professionals.

6. LAM Chi Keung, Dennis

� Dennis has had worked in the electronic product manufacturing and development industry for over 9 years. In the past, he has worked in the areas of R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality Management and Commodity Management with multinational companies both in Hong Kong and Shenzhen. His experience would involve new product manufacturing, strategic sourcing and subcontract management. He is currently the Purchasing Manager for MTI-Andrews HK Ltd, a US-based retail display and security product company

� He graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Metals and Materials Engineering degree from University of British Columbia in 2001 and a Master of Science in Engineering Management degree from City University Hong Kong in 2008. He has been an ISM member since 2010 and holds the credential of CPSM since 2011.

� His goal would be to promote the procurement profession in the Pearl River Delta region if elected.

7. LAM Wai Ming, Felix (Current Council Member)

� Felix has working in The Hong Kong & China Gas Company for 20 years in the area of Purchasing & Supply. He is Currently working as Acting Corporate Supplies Manager for the purchase & logistics functions of the group

� Besides being a member of ISMHK, he is also a member of CIPS since 1994. � He holds a Bachelor Degree in Social Science & Master Degree in Electronic

Commerce

� Felix is currently a Council member and he is willing to support ISM-PRD activities and make contributions to the IT infrastructure area.

8. LAU Ka Wing, Antonio (Current Council Member)

� Antonio is a Research Fellow at the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). He graduated from the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering Management.

� Prior to joining PolyU, Dr. Lau was a Research Fellow in University of Tokyo, a Post-doctoral Fellow in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and a teaching staff in CityU. He taught logistics and material management over 4 years in CityU. He also gained industrial experience as a System Development Manager in a Hong Kong manufacturing firm and an Associate Consultant in Hong Kong Productivity Council.

� He has published over 20 academic papers in prestigious journals such as Research Policy, International Journal of Operations and Production

Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, and International

Journal of Product Economics. � He has been actively serving the ISMHK since its foundation and supporting the

academic and training activities of ISM-PRD as Council member

� If Dr. Lau can be elected as a Council member, he will contribute to the promotion of professional development and training for supply management practitioners, such as CPSM or CSM programs. He will also help promote more collaboration activities among other ISM affiliations and academic institutions in the Asia Pacific region.

9. LEE Chi Keung (Current Council Member)

� C.K. is Founder Council Member and current Honorary Treasurer of ISMHK

� He is also Member of HKCIPS and IPSHK

� He has been working for MTR Corporation Limited for 28 years in the purchasing area;

� If elected, C.K. is willing to continue to contribute volunteer services to support the development of the Institute and promotion of the profession in purchasing and supply

10. LEE Wai Kei, Adolphus (Current Council Member)

� Adolphus was graduated from the former Hong Kong Polytechnic in Business and Management Studies - Purchasing and Supply. He obtained his MSc in Procurement Management - University of Strathclyde at Glasgow, Scotland in 2004

� Adolphus Joined the Vocational Training Council in 1998 as a lecturer in the Department of Business Administration, IVE (Sha Tin) teaching purchasing & supply subjects. He is currently a Senior Project Officer at VTC Business Administration Discipline Planning Office

� Adolphus has been serving ISMHK as Council Member and he is currently taking the role as Director and Leader, Membership Services. Being MCIPS/MIPSHK,

Adolphus has good networks with fellow supply management professional bodies such as CIPS/HKCIPS/IPSHK which help enhancing their cooperation with ISMHK and benefiting ISMHK members

11. LEUNG Man Ho

� Man Ho has just started his career in merchandizing industry as a buyer trainee in the A.S. Watson Group in 2011.

� He graduated from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2011 with a Bachelor of Engineering with honors in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management.

� He worked as a part time administrative officer for ISM-PRD from 2010 to 2011. If elected, he would like to make contributions in promoting the professional development of procurement and supply chain management.

12. LEUNG Pui Fun, Jendy (Current Council Member)

� Jendy received her first degree of Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and attained PhD at the City University of Hong Kong. She had been teaching both full time and part time students for three years (2006 to 2009), subjects including quality management, materials and logistics management, integrative engineering management, project management, enterprise information systems and green industrial systems

� Meanwhile, she got extensive quality management experience in Japan manufacturing organizations, including TDK manufacturing firm and Nukabe automotive company before she received her PhD.

� In recent two years, she is responsible for curriculum design of Qualifications

Framework in Level 5 courses for Printing and Publishing Industry and developing new higher diploma syllabuses at Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI).

� Jendy is current Council Member and she has been supporting the publishing of the China Business News Flashes, the quarterly report on China’s macro-economic and supply management related news summary of ISM-PRD.

13. LIN Kam Wing, Gary (Current Council Member)

� Gary is currently a senior lecturer for the Department of Business Administration - IVE (Sha Tin). He is responsible for the procurement for the computer equipment for the department. Also, he was the course leader for the course Purchasing and e-Supply Chain Management. Currently, he is the campus course coordinator for the course Higher Diploma in Business Administration.

� Gary received his MSc from the University of Alberta of Canada. Prior to joining Vocational Training Council, he worked in the field of Engineering in Canada.

� Gary is a subject specialist for Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation and Vocational Qualification for the sector Logistics and Transport.

� Gary is currently a Council Member and he is willing to help ISM-PRD to promote the profession in the area of Supply Chain Management.

14. POON Kin Ming Kenith

� Kenith has extensive experiences with Fortune 500 companies across different industries and multiple functions. Being the chief regional procurement head for a US$2B Asia BU at Johnson Controls, he is leading the manufacturing supply chain, indirect/project procurement, and logistics teams with 200 professionals in the SCM community across Asia responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement operations and logistics. He is also leading a global OEM sourcing organization for residential and light commercial air conditioning products.

� Prior to joining Johnson Controls, he has been working in the fields of procurement, product & business development and finance with some of the world’s most renown organizations including NVIDIA, BT, Nortel and P&G in multiple countries.

� He received his BBA from the National University of Singapore and the Executive MBA from the University of Western Ontario of Canada. He also taught the strategic purchasing & supply program at the Hong Kong Baptist University as a part-time tutor in 2007/2008.

� Kenith had run for the 2007 District Councilor Election in Hong Kong as an independent candidate. He is also serving as the advisory board member of the Electronics/Electrical Appliances Industries of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

� Kenith would like to promote the supply management profession by helping the Council to expand membership base and organize training and networking activities.

15. POON Kwok Kiu (Current Council Member)

� K.K. is the immediate ex-President of ISMHK for three terms. He has been promoting the supply management profession and ISM in Hong Kong and Asia Pacific region since the early 2000s. He achieved his C.P.M. in 1980s and CPSM in 2010.

� He is now AGM & Director, ADR-ISM Supply Chain Management Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ADRISM specializes in customized in-company training, consulting and Development Needs Analysis (DNA™) learning assessments. Before joining this firm, K.K was a Director of Corporate Management Ltd., undertaking procurement training and consultancy assignments. His prior work experiences included Executive Manager position and Head of Procurement in MTR Corporation Ltd. and he has served in other manufacturing industries.

� He serves actively in Council matters and looks forward to working with dedicated volunteers to continue promote and advance the supply management profession, expand international network, encourage certification and continuous development opportunities in Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta region.

16. WANG Jie, Jayne (Current Council Member)

� Jayne graduated from the City University of Hong Kong majored in e-Logistics and Technology Management in 2009, then she obtained her MSc degree in Engineering Enterprise Management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2010.

� Now she is working in Dakota Industrial Co., Ltd which is in garment manufacturing field and mainly working in ERP system implementation and information digitizing work.

� Since 2009, Jayne has joint ISM-PRD as a student member. Throughout the years growing with ISM-PRD, she would like to contribute to the Institute and share experience with professionals from diverse industries.

17. WONG Kin Ming (Current Council Member)

� K.M. is currently the Honorable Secretary to the ISMHK Council and Vice President, Secretariat of ISM-PRD. He started supporting the ISMHK activities as volunteer since 2005.

� K.M. is deputy general manager in charge of overall operations as well as the purchasing function in the Hong Kong office of a multi-national corporation. He is responsible for various aspects of purchasing and supply management like quality assurance & improvement, new product development, price negotiation and suppliers’ relationship management since 1994.

� He holds MBA and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Hong Kong. He got qualified as ACIS by ICSA in 1992, and acquired C.P.M. in 2007 and CPSM in 2011.

� K.M. would like to play a part to help the profession of purchasing and supply management get its fair share of attention and recognition on a strategic level in commercial enterprises and the local community. He would also like to contribute

to the profession by assisting the organization of diversified activities for members of ISM-PRD as well as fellow supply management practitioners.

18. YANG Ya Hui

� Ya Hui is procurement associate with W.L. Glore & Associates Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. He joined in 2002 and his job involves leading & sponsoring the purchase team, sourcing and procurement activities in indirect supplies, capital equipment, facilities & services of several business units as well as direct supplies in the whole plant.

� He was a fixture & equipment buyer and set-up coordinator with Wal-Mart China Co., Ltd. from 1997. He then took the post of project budget supervisor from 2000 and was responsible for project capital budgets, bidding and quotation specifications, spend analysis and regular management reporting

� Ya Hui holds CPSM, C.P.M. and CMILT credentials. He graduated with a bachelor degree in logistics management from Southwest Jiao Tung University in China in 2005. He also studied in Huazhong University of Science & Technology, majoring in industry accounting and management.

� If elected, Ya Hui would like to develop membership base of ISM-PRD and support ISM-PRD activities in Shenzhen through organizing networking activities.
