Installing Livescribe Desktop

To Install Livescribe Desktop for the first time:1. Go to www.livescribe.com/install

Be sure to download and install Livescribe Desktop on the computer where you want your notes and audio to reside.

2. Open the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. When asked to dock your Smartpen, make sure to use the USB cable that came with your Smartpen.

3. Turn on the pen.

4. You will now need to authorize Livescribe desktop. As a Livescribe user, all your Livescribe pens link to each other using the same email address and password. This means that your Smartpen registration, your Livescribe online account, and your installations of Livescribe desktop, all identify themselves to each other using the same email address and password.

Once on Livescribe DesktopYou can:Rename Your PenTools> Smartpen> RenameWhen you have more than one pen, rename each pen and label the notebook with that name.

Print out notepadsTools> Printable Notepads> Choose Notepad (Notebook 1,,,,,)

Save Writing/Audio OnlineNavigation> Livescribe Online(Make sure the Proxy Server is set to: http://op5pxy00.central.nyced.org:8080/ ) If you still cannot get on to the desktop online- go to Tools>Livescribe Desktop Settings>Smartpen> choose pen
