1 Assembling the Diversity TrolleyThese instructions are intended for mobile network QoS professionals who need toassemble the SwissQual Diversity Trolley.

1.1 Tools

To assemble the Diversity trolley, you need the following tools:● Phillips screwdriver NR 2● Fast-Straps to retain the cables

1.2 Contents of the Diversity Trolley Kit

The trolley kit contains the following items:● Trolley with Diversity system rail● Two rear wheels● One front wheel● Tablet PC holder

1.3 Assembling the Trolley

This section describes how to assemble the trolley.

To assemble the trolley

1. Assemble the handle.

a) Pull the handle lock so that you can fold open the handle frame.

b) Fold open the handle until it snaps into place.

2. Adjust the height of the handle.

a) Open the two quick release levers on the handle shafts.b) Lift up on the handle until you reach the height you want.c) Close the two quick release levers.

3. Attach the wheels to the trolley chassis.




a) Push the axles of the large wheels into the holes on the trolley chassis at thebase of the handle until you hear a click.

b) Push the front wheel into the bottom of the trolley frame.

4. Attach the tablet PC holder.

a) Open the quick release lever on the table PC holder.b) Slide the tube of the tablet PC holder over the stem on the trolley handle.c) Close the quick release lever.

You are now ready to mount a Diversity system on the trolley.

1.4 Using the Parking Brake

► To apply the parking brake, step on the brake pedal until the pedal snaps intoplace.

► To release the parking brake, stick your foot under the pedal, and then lift until thepedal snaps into place.

2 Installing a Diversity SystemAfter you assemble the trolley, you need to mount your Diversity system on the railsand attach the trolley cover.

2.1 Mounting a Diversity System on the Trolley

The best practice for mounting a Diversity system is to mount the CBM and PCMs firstand then attach the MCMs.

To mount a Diversity system on the trolley

1. Secure your Diversity system on the trolley rail.

a) Turn the unit so that the side panels are at right angles to the wheels.b) Place the unit on the rail so that two of the feet are in the guide holes of the

mounting bracket at the base of the trolley handle.c) Place the side mounting bracket up against with the two lever handles up

against the other end of the unit, and then tighten the lever handles.

2. Install an MCM mounting bracket.

a) Slide two square nuts into the two slots on top of the unit.You can slide the nuts into the slots through the cooling fins.

b) Align the four guide holes of the mounting rail over the two square nuts and thetwo threaded holes on the BAM.

c) Place an MCM mounting bracket on the rail over the threaded holes on theBAM, and fasten the bracket in place with two Phillips screws.

3. Install the MCMs on the top mounting rail.

a) Place an MCM on the rail, align the guide holes at the base of the unit with theguide pins on the MCM bracket, and push the MCM up against the bracket.




b) If you want to install an additional MCM, use a 2.5 mm hex key to loosen thecascading screws on the front panel and the back panel of the new MCM.

c) Turn the two screws counter clockwise until the locking mechanism in the guideholes open wide enough for a guide pin.

d) Align the guide pins of the new MCM with the guide holes of the MCM on therail.

e) Push the two MCM units together.f) Tighten the cascading screws on the new MCM.




g) Slide the guide holes of the remaining MCM mounting bracket over the guidepins on the last MCM in the chain.

h) Tighten the lever handles on the MCM mounting bracket.

4. Connect all the cables, and secure the cables to the trolley frame with Fast Straps.

5. Place the magnetic mount socket antennas on the MCM holders, and secure theantenna cables with Fast Straps.

2.2 Attaching the Cover

After you mount a Diversity system on the trolley, you can attach the cover.

To attach the cover

1. Place the two slits in the back end of the cover over the two hooks on the back railon the trolley.

2. Push down the front part of the cover until the two spring-loaded pins click into thetrolley frame.

Note: If necessary, secure loose cables to the frame with Fast-Straps.

3 Disassembling the TrolleyYou do not need tools to dissemble the trolley.

To disassemble the trolley

1. Depress the two spring-loaded pins on the front sides of the cover.

2. Lift off and unhook the cover from the rails.

3. Remove the tablet PC holder.

a) Open the quick release lever.b) Pull out the holder.

4. Remove the wheels.

a) Turn the trolley on its side and pull out the front wheel.

b) Push in the spring-loaded button on the hub of the rear wheel and then pull offthe wheel.

5. Fold down the handle.



a) Push down on the spring-loaded bar at the base of the handles on the trolley.

b) Fold the handle down towards the front of the trolley.
