$ chmod +x VMware-Player-*.bundle

VMWare Player is my favourite virtualization software. I use it to test alot of Linux Distributions, on both Windows and Linux.

In this article I will show you what you have to do for a successfulinstallation, but I will not guide you for the Next -> Next -> Finish steps.

Let’s start installing VMWare player on Ubuntu 13.04.

1. Install the needed dependencies:

3. Add execution permissions on the VMWare downloaded file:

Why doesn’t start the gui, but the setup proceed in text mode?I must solve this problem even for Sybase ASA, that is affected bythe same problem, the setup start in text mode!

When i press enter I just get a very long text but no option tocontinue.

Help would be much appreciated.

Below I have included the commands I use:

you need to accept the terms to continue with the graphicalinstallation. you have either to scroll down the term list tounlock continue / next, either to thick some box saying youaccept

hey guys i’ve got a problem from the first commandthis is what i get when i type the first command (sudo apt-get installbuild-essential linux-headers-`uname -r`)and this what i get when i type it (Reading package lists… DoneBuilding dependency treeReading state information… DonePackage build-essential is not available, but is referred to by anotherpackage.This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, oris only available from another source

E: Package ‘build-essential’ has no installation candidate)can anyone help me please :/ i’m new to this
