Using Instagram For Facebook Pages

Overview

Setting up Instagram for Facebook pages can be a bit tricky. When you complete the following process to sync Instagram with a Facebook page, the image will be displayed on the Facebook page only, and not on your personal Facebook profile. However, keep in mind that the Instagram photo will still be displayed in the photo stream of the Instagram profile you are logged in under.

In other words, it is best to create a brand new Instagram account for your Facebook page and not to sync your personal Instagram profile to post to your Facebook page.

Account Setup

Step 1:

Set up the Instagram account for the company. This step has nothing to do with Facebook and is completely separate.

Step 2:

Once you are logged in to your new account, select the account menu in the bottom right corner. Select “Edit sharing settings” under the “Account” heading.

Step 4:

Return to the “Sharing Settings” menu. You will see that Facebook now has a green checkmark next to it.

Step 3:

Select “Facebook” and press “Allow All” on the app authorization screen when Facebook comes up.

Step 6:Select the desired fan page from the drop down menu. After the checkmark displays it as selected, return to the camera page. You are now ready to use the app.

Step 5: Tap on Facebook again andselect “Post to”. When Facebook pops up, again select “Allow All”.

Using Instagram With Your Page

Step 1:

Select the camera function in the middle of the bottom menu and take your picture. Select a design and press the green checkmark to approve the image.

Step 2:

On the following screen, you should see the name of your fan page underneath the Facebook sharing option. Turn Facebook on before selecting “done” in the top right corner.

On the next screen, you will see your finished image under your personal account name within the app.

Step 4:

Navigate to view the photo on your Facebook page. Notice it includes the Instagram link in the copy, and does not post to your personal Facebook profile that is synced with your Instagramaccount.
