1. WELCOME
This Burr G rinde r use s s olid s teel co nica l burrs and a high reduc tionmoto r to grind slow ly and precisely from Turkish fine to French P res s
co arse. The s low grinding imparts minimal hea t on the co ffee thus pre-
serving maximum aroma. The s afety loc k mecha nism prevents the
grinde r from g rinding w ithout the bea n conta iner in plac e. The remova ble
upper burr makes clea ning ea sy. We a re s ure yo u will find the right
fineness se tting for your coffee a pplica tion. Enjoy!
2. BEFORE INITIAL USE1. Ca refully unpack your grinder and remove all pac kag ing ma terial.
2. Wipe the bas e, lid a nd containers w ith a dry, clea n cloth.
3. Lift the upper burr (Fig. 5) and chec k if the grinding cha mber is free
of any foreign objects (Fig. 6).
4. Replac e the upper burr. Make sure the soft plas tic c ollar of theupper burr is in place (Fig. 4)
5. Insert the bea n container into the machine (Fig. 2).
6. P lac e the lid (Fig. 1, A) onto the be a n conta iner before turning it to
the des ired pos ition. It is e as ier to turn the bea n conta iner bac k
and forth with the lid in place.
7. Initially only fill a few s co ops o f coffee bea ns into the grinder.
Not Dishwasher Safe: The remova ble upper burr a nd the s oft co lla r
are not dishwa sher safe.
Dishwasher Safe: (top rack only, away from the heating element):
The bea n co nta iner, the lid, the ground c offee c onta iner.
3. HELPFUL HINTS1. Never grind w ithout the ground c offee c ontainer in plac e! Make
sure that the ground co ffee c onta iner is c ompletely inserted into the
machine before grinding. Otherwise ground coffee can blow out of
the grinder spout creating a mess on your countertop.
2. Make sure there a re no bea ns in the bea n container before removing
it from the machine.
3. When grinding different kinds o f bea ns, only fill the bea n conta iner
with the amo unt you intend to grind. This w a y you a void e mptying
the bean container.
4. If you need to empty the bean container proceed a s follows:
a. Unplug the item,
b. Turn the ma chine upside d ow n
c. C arefully pour the bea ns into another rec epta cle.5. The finer the grind se tting the longe r it takes to g rind a c ertain
amo unt of coffee, e.g . in a very co arse setting the ma chine will
grind mo re c offee in 20 sec onds than in a very fine s etting.

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/inst-infinity-grinder 7/11
6. When grinding in the two or three finest s ettings (for Turkish c offee)
only fill a few scoops of coffee beans into the bean container andcheck if the ground coffee passes through into the ground coffee
container. After grinding in the finest settings we highly recommend
cleaning the grinding chamber (Fig. 6) before next use.
7. Please note: Never grind " in ad vanc e" . Only grind the a mount of
coffee you will use for preparing coffee within the next hour.
Ground coffee loses aroma and flavor very fast. Ground coffee also
attrac ts other odors.
8. Do NOT grind for more tha n three minutes in a row. All the pa rts
will get warm which will influence the aroma of your coffee.
9. Important: Never let g round coffee e xceed the Max-Line on the
ground co ffee c onta iner (Fig. 1,E). Too much c offee in the g round
co ffee c onta iner can ba ck-up into the fee de r channel. If grinding
co ntinues this c an burn out the moto r.10. Be fore removing the g round co ffee conta iner, tap the ma chine a
few times (Fig. 7). This w ill relieve so me o f the sta tic build-up w hich
occurs when grinding.
4. GRINDING1. G rinder only grinds with the bean container in plac e and the dot on
the b ea n co ntainer pointing to o ne of the fineness se ttings (Fig. 3).
2. Betw een the insertion marking a nd the coa rses t setting (Fig. 3a) the
grinder will not grind.
3. When the bea n container points to one of the grind settings, turn
the timer (Fig. 1,C) to any position and grinding will start.
Stopping the grinding action:When the timer reaches the 0-position the machine will stop grinding.
• You can also interrupt grinding by turning the bean container to the
right (counter cloc kwise) be yond the c oa rses t se tting (Fig. 3a). This
w ill sto p the grind ing a ct ion. The t imer will still run until it sto ps in
the 0-position.
• This manual stopping option can come in handy if you turned the
timer too much or if a foreign object (stone etc.) blocks the burrs.
5. GRIND SETTINGSThere a re a tota l of 16 grind s ettings . They a re s ubdivided into 4

process the water through the grounds, overflow or clogging might
occ ur. Choos e a coa rser grind setting.
