Desert Oasis by Welk Resorts is committed to being a safe, enjoyable, family-friendly resort and we ask that you please abide by the below initiatives while in the pool areas and Activities Center.

YOU LOVE MUSICWe love music too, and to be considerate of everyone’s taste and relaxation time, we ask that you leave your tunes back in the room. Please don’t bring your beats to the Activity Center or pool areas

GLASSFor safety purposes, no glass or bottles are allowed in the pool areas. If you need cups, please see an Activities Attendant or a Security Officer for assistance

DRESS CODEOut of respect for our family resort guests and varying cultures and tastes, we ask that your swimsuits provide ample coverage

SWIM DIAPERSChildren four years of age and younger, or children that are not yet fully potty-trained, must wear approved swim diapers while in the pool

SWAN DIVEFor your safety, no diving is allowed in either of the pools

SMOKINGSmoking is not allowed in the pool areas. Smoking areas are located at the West end of both the Eucalyptus (200) building and the Tamarisk (500) building

Due to consistently high occupancy, we are unable to accommodate any requests for a late check-out. For those who miss the 10am check-out time, there will be an added fee. For guests who check-out but wish to remain and use the facilities, we will be happy to place your luggage in storage.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICESIf you are making Desert Oasis by Welk Resorts your home for the week, our housekeeping staff will service your room on the third day after you check in, if your stay is five days or longer. If you would like a cleaning, and your stay is four days or less, then there will be a $40 cleaning fee. We will provide fresh towels; empty your trashcans, tidy up the kitchen and counters, clean your floors and carpets, and change your bed linens. If you would like additional housekeeping services, please contact the Front Desk at extension 632 to inquire about rates.

TRASH/REFUSE PICK UPPlease understand that with the unique wildlife surrounding our property, we want to do everything possible to protect them, but also discourage them from becoming annoying pests. We ask that you utilize the trash containers in your unit and not leave any trash outside on your patio or surrounding property. Trash is emptied during your housekeeping service. If you find that you need additional trash removal, please dial 632 and the Hotel Operator will have someone promptly remove it.

the closest fire exit• Test your door for heat and exit the room if safe, closing the

door behind you• Alert others in the area• Walk to the nearest exit• If smoke is present, stay low

IF YOU ARE ORDERED TO EVACUATE YOUR ROOM AND THE DOOR IS NOT HOT:• EXIT WITH CAUTION: Feel the door. If the door is NOT HOT,

open it slightly and look in both directions for the nearest, safe exit

• Take your room key if available, exit the room and close the door behind you

• Walk to the nearest stairway and exit the building,• DO NOT RUN, DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS

To watch cable: Optimally, press “Power” on the cable remote. If that does not work, follow these instructions:

1. Using the TV remote, press and hold “Input” until you see HDMI 1 or HDMI 2.

2. Highlight either of the HDMI channels and press “Select” (the large middle compass button). This should start your cable TV.

3. This should get you back to cable. You can now put the other remotes further away to eliminate confusion

To watch a DVD:

1. Turn on the DVD player.

2. Using the TV remote, press and hold “Input” until you see “Comp/AV.”

3. Highlight “Comp/AV” and press “Select” (the large middle compass button). This should bring you to the DVD start page.

4. To go back to watching cable, simply follow the first set of instructions.
