Welcome to our latest newsleer We’ve had a very busy and fun month in the 6A class- room. Our learning year is in full force, and we are em- bracing all our school acvies with full hearts. Maths Geometry! We loved learning about the wonderful world of an- gles, triangles and polygons. Most of all, we loved working with cir- cles, and discovering the secrets of ‘pi’ (3.14). Since then we have also covered fracons, decimals and percentages. Literacy One of the highlights in our litera- cy lessons has been our “Write like you speak!” workshops. Students have been wring a blog post based on a topic that they love. As part of Library Week, we’ve also been reading our favourite books in our favourite places. This month has been all about bringing joy to Literacy. Reminders Healthy snacks are beer for learning. Please try to avoid single use plascs and packaging . PLAY is extremely im- portant for the devel- opment of a child. Stars of the Month We have two stars this month! Holly, for being an extremely hardworking and kind member of our classroom. And Kim Hai, for adapng wonderful- ly to her new school and trying her absolute best everyday. Well done girls! Topics Aſter finishing up our Indus Valley projects, we have moved onto Geography and Coastal Seas. Our class have been in- spired by David Aenborough’s documentary “Our Planet” and we are currently working on informaon posters about the major threats that our coastal ecosystems face. Science We are learning all about the human body, blood types, the circulatory system and hearts this month. We’ve measured our individual heart rates, and this week we will actually get to dissect a real pig heart! Inspired by our lessons in PSHE, and the work of environmental acvists around the world, this month we created acon posters to highlight some of the most urgent environmental problems around the world.

Welcome to our latest newsletter We’ve had a very busy and fun month in the 6A class-room. Our learning year is in full force, and we are em-bracing all our school activities with full hearts.
