Z Easter Gr eetings from The Heath Family Y Hope each of you are doing well. We miss being in church each week and gathering for study and fellowship in this faithful community of Christ. We stay very connected via email and online video with the church, even from Italy. We are enjoying traveling in Europe but have missed some things from home, mainly family and a vibrant faith community but thanks to the online sermons we continue to hear God’s Word. We ask continued prayers as we are fairly certain we will be moving, again, this summer to Germany. Thank you for your prayers and Heidi sends a smile and hug to you all. She misses the church and day school, but is doing great in Italian school. Happy Easter to our First Presbyterian family & staff! Andy, Andrea and Heidi Heath

What can we take with us to the kingdom of God? In When the Game Is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box, bestselling author, pastor, and consum‐mate storyteller John Ortberg tells us we can take pre y much only what we brought to the game. Everything else goes back in the box—the cash atop the corporate ladder, the vaca on home at the lake, and the status vehicle in between. All the tokens, game pieces, and prizes are le behind when you walk away from the table. The only real "winnings" you claim and keep are your own soul and the love you have for Christ and each other. If you think you might need a be er game plan—one that offers an eternal perspec ve—this strategy‐filled playbook walks you through what it takes to really win big at the game of life.

Spotted Around First Presbyterian…
These MOPS moms were “taking it to the streets” on a conference bike.
Welcome, Melinda Carter!
The church extends a warm welcome to our new financial assistant, Melinda Carter who started to work on Monday, March 30.
Melinda brings a wealth of accoun ng experience as she worked for 17 years at Malone Office Environments and then worked for 15 years as the Accoun ng Manager for the Holiday Inn on Manchester Expressway where she handled accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and human resources.
She is the mother of two sons and the grandmother of two ac ve grandsons. She is close to her sons, their wives and, of course, the grandchildren!
She enjoys swimming, walking and reading and pulling for the Crimson Tide! She says that her new job here at First Presbyterian is a new challenge for her and she is happy to be here.
Please be sure to greet Melinda the next me you are in the church office.

Updates
and
Prayer
requests
Please praise God that He is changing children's lives through the simple shoebox gi s of Opera on Christmas Child and through the follow‐up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey (TGJ)! Pray that the 2.4 million children expected to graduate from TGJ in 2015 will be "rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith." (Col. 2:7)
Please give praise to God for the recent/upcoming Opera on Christmas Child shoebox gi distribu ons in Colombia, Slovakia, and Mexico. Thank God for this chance to share the Good News with children who have never heard of Jesus.
Please pray for God's favor in receiving customs clearances and tax exemp ons so shoeboxes can be unloaded and delivered in China and Brazil.
Congratulations Congratula ons to Dr. Sidney Yarbrough III who recently was awarded the pres gious Judson C. Ward Golden Heart Award for many years of service to Emory University in Atlanta.
This award is given annually for "values of service, generosity of spirit and loyalty to the University.” The University gave examples of what Sidney and Becky have done for Emory University. They include his being on the School of Medicine Board of Advisors, the endowing of a scholarship which has assisted more than 15 medical students and many other gi s over the years. Sidney, in addi on to his support for Emory School of Medicine and Emory in general, is also a member of the Board of Advisors for the famous Michael C. Carlos Museum on the Emory campus.
Sidney graduated from Emory in 1963 as a Doctor, then served in the Air Force, completed his residencies at Emory, and then came to Columbus in 1970 to open his prac ce in orthopedic surgery.
Sidney and his wife, Becky, are long‐term members of First Presbyterian Church. They have 3 children: Sidney IV, Ben, and Bob along with 5 grandchildren.
It's good to see one of our fellow members honored for what Presbyterians have been known for down through history: educa on and health care missions.
