Outfit Inspirations for Photoshoot

My outfit inspiration for my artist photoshoot is mainly floral skirts or just high waited skater skirts that come above the knee, plain top tucked in and wearing converse, flower crown and a coat as it is winter. I decided on these ideas because these trends are very popular with 16-25 mainly females who listen to different kind of music where the songs and artists are either unsigned or not popular. The costume inspirations fit in with the genre of music as it shows it isn’t a rock or pop magazine.

Hair Inspirations

The type of hair that has inspired and what I want for my artist to have for the photoshoot is wavy/curly hair is looks quite natural and it isn’t too styled so it blends in well with the location and outfit inspirations as they are all natural or have a relation to nature and the same with the genre of music. I want my artist to look natural for my photoshoot because I want to have the audience to say that they know its for their age range as I know that a lot of females ages 16-25 have their hair quite wavy and long (stereotypically) and look natural.

Location Inspirations

My inspiration for my location for the artist photoshoot for the front cover and double page spread is a forest theme as it really com0pliments the outfit inspiration ideas as they are very nature related. It also fits in well the genre because it shows that the music that is included is very laid back, meaningful and isn’t popular because if this was a stereotypically Pop magazine it would be in a studio or in urban areas but my location is out of the way and quiet which relates to the music I have chosen which are artists and music that is unsigned and not always heard of.

Pose Inspirations The pose I want to do for my front cover is arm on her waist or standing slightly to the side looking straight at the camera because it shows eye contact and feels direct with the audience. The pose I want for my double page spread is more of a relaxed pose such as a casual standing pose and can also have a another photograph of the artist walking so the photograph is showing the back of her.
