WELCOME TO 2014, A SEASON OF GREAT EXPLOITS AND GREAT FAITH.The year 2014 begins a season of great exploits for the body of Christ, but this willrequire from us great faith. So I encourage the body of Christ to become more bold
than we have ever been before, more focused than we have ever been before, and more daring
than we have ever been before. We have to literally take God at His word and step out in great
faith to accomplish in the world, all that God has predestined for the church in this season. It is
my prayer, that we that know the Lord shall be strong, and do exploits in Jesus name. Amen.
SO GO FORTH AND DO EXPLOITS FOR GOD!!!
Blessings!

It is raining on the just and the unjust I am the Lord that maketh it to rain on all saith theLord. My wind is blowing saith the Lord, to blow My power My might on them that are Mine. The
people will see you and say these are they that are blessed of the Lord.
It is a new and fresh season for My people saith the Lord
I take them into plenty for My purpose and might to demonstrate My power in them.
It is a time of glory and plenty for them that are Mine saith the Lord
I change many things in the lives of people. I put structures and purpose in place saith the Lord
I come in My might and power to destroy the power of the enemy against My people.
I block many things the devil has planned
I remove distractions from your midst saith the Lord
I bring you to a place of glory and might for My name sake
It is well with those who seek Me and are mine
Again, I say, it is a time of plenty and increase.
Come into My fold, into My presence and enjoy the Lord your Father saith the Lord.

Are you prepared to see Him?
Are you prepared for the 2nd coming?
Yeah saith the Lord, they are many who think that they are ready,
and they are prepared but they are not, because they have played with their salva-
tion, and they have played with what I have done on the cross of Calvary.
Nay saith the Spirit of the Lord, examine your heart and see ye whether ye still be
in the faith.
Examine the heart and see if you be in faith.
For many people have departed from the faith saith the Lord, and yet they thinkthat they still are. For they have gone forth to do what they want, not what my
Word says.
What makes one mine? It is that, that stays in my Word, it is that that has made Me
the Lord of their lives, it is that that says, it is not my will but Your will be done
God, it is that has removed their agenda and has made it Mine. It is that one says
the Spirit of God that says, What is it Father that You want me to do? That is the

the Spirit of God that says, What is it Father that You want me to do? That is the
one that has taken My Word and has truly become My own.
For many, many are called I say, and few are chosen. Many are called, but yes few
are chosen. Why is that? saith God
Is it because I discriminate?
Is it because I dont love all?
Nay saith the Spirit of God. It is not because I discriminate, because I am not a re-
specter of persons, because I love all the same. But because the peoples minds have
turned away from Me saith God. And so many have dressed themselves in My
Word as it were and they deceive the people to say, I am of the Lord, I belong to
Him. Nay says God, they are not. They are not Mine, neither do they belong to
Me, neither do I know them.
And so I summon again a warning unto My people, the body and I say, examine
yourself, examine yourself, examine yourself, whether you be in the faith according
to My Word.
Examine! And they ask, How do I examine myself?
Yea saith the Spirit of the Lord, for my Word is a mirror that you look at saith God,
to examine yourself, whether you be in the faith. For when you take My Word, andyou look at it, and you look at yourself in it, and if there is a place says the Spirit of
God- and there is a place that does not line up with what you see in My Word- in
Me, for I Am my Word, then you know that there is an adjustment that needs to be
made.
And yea saith God, for I am here by my Spirit to help in the adjustment that is to be
made.
For as many that will come to Me and as many as will say, Father, I need Youhere, I need You in this thing, I need You in this place, I will work with. But I do
not force My will on anyone. For I have given you a choice saith the Lord.
I speak to My people, the Church, I have given you a choice, the way you come to
Me you will remain in Me. That you may remain in Me, for you have all that it
takes to remain in Me. For I have empowered you. In you is My Spirit! The Spirit

of Grace that is able even to bring to pass anything that My will is. But many do
not ask My will and many do not seek My face, but they assume and they go forth,
and they do that which they think they know.
Yea saith the Spirit of the Lord, if I am your Lord you God, submit to My will.
If I am the Lord your God, ask what My will is.
If I am the Lord your God, do it my way.
If I am the Lord your God, then bow to Me in everything saith the Spirit of the
Lord.
For yea, you have given Me one side and yet there are many other sections that
they have said, Dont touch this, dont touch this, dont touch this. Nay saith the
Spirit of Grace, nay saith the Spirit of Grace, nay saith the Spirit of Grace, turn it
all over to Me, for I am the Lord your God and I want it all. I want it all! I want it
all! I want you ALL!
All of you I demand saith the Spirit of the Lord. For when you give yourself total-
ly to Me in all that you do saith the Lord God, then, you see, you see My grace and
My favor, and even when things delay, look hard, you know that I am in it with
you. And it is easy, and it is easy to take saith the Lord.
I sound a warning again for I return, and I return soon and I ask the body, My peo-ple, Are you ready to receive me? saith the Lord.
Are you ready to receive Me?
Are you ready to receive Me?
Are you ready to receive Me?
Saith the Spirit of the Lord.

As the year 2013 slips away
and we celebrate the year 2014, I be-
lieve we should spend some time re-
flecting on the relationship we had
with God in the year 2013. What was
the status of our relationship with
Him? If Christ returns or calls us
home today, are we prepared to meet
him?
This is a rhetorical question of course
as only you can answer this honestly.
The book of Psalm 15 asks who canstay in the presence of our God. And
the answer says He who has truth in
his heart. This psalm helps us with
our self-evaluation of our relationship
with Him. Do we really have truth
(God) in our hearts?
The year 2013 no doubt was an interesting
year for some and difficult for others.
However we must give thanks to God for
all he did in 2013. Some of us might ask
why should I give thanks, after all I did
not achieve anything. But you must give
thanks because you have life and hope.
The bible tells us to give thanks in every-
thing, and not to be anxious about any-
thing. It tells us even how to handle situa-
tions that may not have happened as we
wanted. It says to pray with thanksgiving
in making a request to God (Philippians
4:6). So whatever it is that you thought
ought to have manifested in 2013 that did
not, is not a loss. You still have many
years ahead of you. But take that matter
to God in the proper way (prayer and

thanksgiving) and believe that it is done.
God will handle it for you.
In this year 2014, my prayer is that it will be
a better year for us and God will show Him-
self strong to us in Jesus name Amen. How-ever we must learn to trust God with all our
heart and lean not on our own understand-
ing. In all our ways we must acknowledge
Him and He will direct our path (Proverbs
3:5). God will keep us safe from all storms
of life. He will be your shelter in the year
2014 from the storm. It is important to
make God our refuge and hiding place. When the storm strikes, we will not be
moved because we are an everlasting foun-
dation when the wind blows (Proverbs
10:25). In other words, we cannot be de-
stroyed. God will take charge. You may
not be able to predict lifes storm or prevent
them but sometimes you can prepare for
them. The name of the Lord is a strong tow-
er and when the righteous run in they are
safe (Proverbs 18:10). We have to know in
whom our protection is founded.
If you do not have God, you become your
own God (and cannot protect yourself) but
if you have God you can say my God is a
safe place to hide. He is ready to help
when we need him. You have to read the
word daily so that you can have a rich de-
posit of scriptures within you. Colossian
3:16 says to let the word of God dwell in us
richly. If the word dwells in you, you can
make a withdrawal when you need it. God
is an ever present help Psalm 46:1. He is al-
ways there and not only in trouble, but
in good and at all times.
In this year 2014, it behooves us to take
our relationship with Him to another
level, to another dimension. Allow
your hearts to be filled with truth. The
truth of who He is. I guarantee you
based on Gods word that if you allow
Christ to richly dwell in you, you will
have a deeper revelation of God and
success will always be yours in Jesusname. Let this be your goal, starting
this year 2014; allow God to own you
completely and leave no room for the
enemy in Jesus name, amen.

In the last publication (I suggest that you read
it again), we ended with the statement that
Proposition 8 did not affect those rights except for the des-
ignation of the term marriage, reserved for only opposite-
sex couples. The court opinion is taken from the Syllabus,
prepared by the Reporter of Decisions, United States Su-
preme Court.
Chief Justice Roberts, in regards to standing, says
that its essence is to prevent the judicial process from be-
ing used to usurp the powers of the political branches.
He continued that when the District court decided Propo-
sition 8 to be unconstitutional and barred the named de-
fendants from enforcement, the respondents ceased to
have injury, so no further redress was necessary. The Peti-
tioners no longer have a personal stake in seeing Propo-
sition 8 enforced, and has no reasonable interest to invoke
the states interest. He added

tioners have no standing, va-
cating the decisions of the

the case, thus clearing the
way for same-sex marriage to
continue in the state of Cali-
fornia. It is important to note
that counter-arguments have
been presented by the Su-
preme Court dissenting mi-
nority in this case where Jus-
tice Kennedy led the minority
arguing that the California
Supreme Court certifying the
Petitioners to represent state

tive process was to bypass the

ficers reject. He insists that its Supreme
Court precedents do not require a formal
agency relationship. To that end, the Peti-
tions have standing, for hit is not contin-
gent on office holding.
The majority opinion stated that the
Petitioners lacked standing, while the dis-
senting justices found standing. The issue
here is what now happens to the majority of
Californians who have chosen to live ac-
cording to that doctrine (Truth) that it only
takes a male to mate with a female, for so
has been biblical principles from the begin-
ning, which invariably prescribes that mar-
riage must be between man and wife in holy
matrimony. This is not about religion; this
is about the principle derived from an or-
dered universe that informs man how to
live an ordered life. The ordered Universe
is entrenched in truth to be perfectly func-
tional, otherwise will lack existence. Then a
perfectly functional Universe entrenched in
Truth informs us that only one who is per-
fect, and the ultimate Truth, can generate
it. Such argument has its own implication.
It suggests that if one chooses to live with-
out this doctrine (Truth), the person will also
be free to mate as he pleases, which allows him
to marry whomever or whatever he chooses,
not in accordance to Truth or Universal laws,
neither in accordance to how man should live
nor in accordance with the dictates of the one
who is perfect or the Ultimate Truth. The con-
sequence of going against the knowledge of the
Good which is self-evidential Truth, and which
is demonstrated physically, as well as naturally
in the Universe, is tremendous. It is self-
evident that man is created different from a
woman, and that which is seen tells of that
which is unseen. For the invisible things of
Him from creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so
that they, are without excuse (Romans 1:20).
It is obvious that the wrath of God is revealed
from Heaven against all ungodliness and un-
righteousness of men, who hold truth in un-
righteousness (v. 18).
The opinion handed down by the Su-
preme Court and the dissenting opinions are
all intellectually sound arguments. The Court
tries its best to interpret the law in the books,

the powers of other arms of government,
though it had before made decisions that
paved the way for the other arms of govern-
ment, such as Brown v. Board of Education,
which stopped separate schools for blacks and
whites to mention but a few. The issue here is
what constitutes a good law? For we see in
Brown v. Board of Education, the opinion of
the court, was of truth, and it changed Ameri-
ca, for blacks and whites are one people of
God, of one human race though of differenti-
ated colors from their maker, God, who loves
variety. The court rejected the popular opin-
ion of men, customs, and restrictions of regu-
lations of state, to find that higher Truth, that
all men, created equal, need to be schooled
together. For there to be one people of the
United States, they must learn to be one, both
in learning and in socializing together. In
view of Brown v. Board of Education, one may
ask whether the decision of the Supreme
Court to strike down DOMA as well as Califor-
nia law that defines marriage to be between
man and wife, while reinstating same-sex
marriage a good law? For we know a good law
must be reasonable, in accordance with the
direction of the laws of the universe, and
must be in accordance with Ultimate Truth,
the one who created all things and set His
laws in place. For the law made by man must
reflect the Law God put in place which re-
flects who He is, Good. Because God is
good, everything that He sets in place from
creation is good. God created man and wom-
an and with that creation set them apart to
be different in many ways but yet same in
some aspects. It is no brainer that one as-
pect in which they are physiologically and
biologically different was done by our marker
in other to serve a very specific purpose. To
turn away from such purposeful creation at
any point will not be wise; and I pray that in
all we get, we will have wisdom.
TO BE CONTINUED.

We are in a time in the body of
Christ where faith is required in order to
realize the call of God, unto great exploits
for the kingdom of God. By great exploits,
I mean outstanding works that cannot be
done by human efforts or might, but by
Gods exceeding grace alone. God has de-
clared prophetically that the year 2014
holds double enrichment and supernaturalincrease for the body of Christ. However,
He sounds a caution of warning that in or-
der to take over territories and to build, we
need Faith to Arise!
If you have observed, there has beenan attack on leadership like no other timein the history of our world. This holds true
for both Christian and secular leadership. Po-litical, social, economic and religious happen-ings have constituted to weaken the vision andfaith of many. Christian leaders continue tocontend for their faith and for the work of Je-sus Christ. This is so because of the effectofHabel in our world. Habel is the He-
brew word for sin caused by the fall of man. What do we say to these things: The promiseof Gods love and abundant grace, and yet theexperience of Habel? I believe that God iscalling His people back to the power of the
cross; to live and lead by it.It is my belief that the cross brought to
man a three-fold restoration of nature, purposeand promise. Restoration of our nature as newcreatures in Christ; Restoration of our purpose aspeople called to execute Gods dominion mandateon the earth (Genesis 1:26 and 28); Restoration
of Gods promise to the redeemed man; as one calledto live in peace, righteousness and joy in the HolyGhost, both now and in the world to come. In allof these, I hear God trumpeting to Christianleaders all over the world with a Message ofempowering the saints to live life in its fullorbed dimension. This He is calling Christianleaders to do, by rising up courageously tofirst conquer their world, and teach others todo so. R. Paul Stevens in his book, DoingGods Business: Meaning and Motivation for theMarketplace defines missions in its full orbeddimension as human vocation/calling. Thisincludes: communion, community-building,developing the potential of creation, improv-ing and embellishing human life, mission andglobal evangelism, the alleviation of povertyand investing in and enriching heaven. Buthow do we do this in the face of Habel? Iagree with R Stevens in his proposition that for

LEDERSORNERthe church to fulfill its mission, Christian leadersmust rise to the urgent need to provide purposefulleadership in the church and in the world; teachingthe full counsel of God, engaging in intercessoryprayer and equipping the saints with a wide rangeof working theology.
One vital disposition that I believe is a must
have for Christian leaders in this dispensation, isthe concept popularly referred to by theologians asthe mixed life. This is so because the concept ofthe mixed life grossly affects our faith, which is akey ingredient in engaging in great works. Themixed life consists of two kinds of life disposi-tions; the contemplative life of Mary and the ac-tive life of Martha. The concept of the mixed lifestems from the account of Jesus visit to Mary andMartha in Luke chapter 10 38:42. The relative dis-position of Mary and Martha to Jesus visit, and Je-sus response to Marthas complaint about Marysinsensitivity to her need for help in the kitchen, which was: Mary has chosen the better part, has ledmany to erroneously conclude that like Mary, sit-ting at Jesus feet all day is the acceptable and onlyrequired actionneeded for a Christian to succeed inlife. On the other hand Marthas disposition, whichtheologians call the active or life, is carnal, notacceptable to God and irrelevant for success.
As a result of this thinking, many Christians
would pray and study their bible all day, butwould not take action or exercise their faith oth-
erwise. Needless to say therefore, that manyChristians are unskilled in the application ofknowledge in many things.
As I reflect on the contemplative life of Mary andthe active life of Martha, I ponder over a few questions. When Jesus said Mary has chosen the better part, didthat imply that Marthas part was not useful? I do notthink so. Did Jesus enjoy a good meal prepared by Mat-ter after such a long session of teaching and conversation
...seang at Jesus feet and

master has to say, is an atude
for life that every believer must
have.

with Mary? I am inclined to think so. I am ledto believe that the contemplative lifestyle seating at Jesus feet and being committed towhat the master has to say, is an attitude forlife that every believer must have. On the otherhand, the active life(i.e. our activities, plansand pursuits) must flow out of the conversa-
tion, wisdom and direction that we receivewhile at Jesus feet. So if I may say, the contem-plative life is really a posture of total surrender, dependence on God and a Spirit led life. Ouractivities become born out of Marys attitude;(that one thing that is needed) the contem-plative life. In my opinion, it is not one or theother; it is one then the other. A leader there-fore should endeavor to cultivate the attitude ofthe mixed life in order to have a Holy Spirit ledand active life of faith.
Against this background of a proper appli-
cation of faith in God, lets consider thefollowing points:We must teach the full counsel of
God in its full orbed dimension: As Chris-tian leaders, there is an urgent need for usto give attention to teaching the full counselof Gods word and prayer; equipping thesaints for life and ministry in its full orbeddimension. This means providingknowledge that is not lacking in anything, but relevant for instruction, reproof and
correction in all areas of life and ministry. We must seek to teach people a gospel ofChrist that is well rounded and sufficientfor prosperity in the dimensions of ourspirit, soul and body. By so doing, our de-liverance can be fully realized in the bless-ings of SOZO; a Greek word for salva-tion in the New Testament that means tosave, deliver or protect (literally or figura-
tively); heal, preserve, save (self), do well, bemade or to make whole for the attainment ofshalom, a Hebrew word that means wholeness, well being and harmony-nothing missing andnothing broken.
We must build a deeper, personal rela-tionship with God through His word: Sha-
lom cannot be realized except we fellowshipintimately and daily with God through hiswell rounded word as described above. Wemust embrace this word, in order to build thetype of relationship that gives us power withGod. This is Gods counsel. In all the pro-phetic revelations of Gods supernatural in-crease and great manifestations in this season, the Holy Spirit charges His children to sepa-rate ourselves and seek a deeper, personal re-
lationship with God through His word. Thisis a key that enables us to enjoy Gods promiseof abundant grace, even in the midst of a fall-en world. Victory is guaranteed becauseGods word builds faith that causes us to over-come (John 16:33). There are many things thatwe rarely see and experience today, becausemany Christians are afraid to take risks inobedience to Gods instructions. It is amazingthat we seem to have more saints of old mani-fest such greatness, than we see in the presentday church.
A leader must add to their faithknowledge: As we see in Isaiah 30:15 and Ro-mans 8:14, God has a prescribed pattern, whereby His people must seek Him in allthings; on what we must do, and how wemust do it, at every given time. The undoing of many Christian leaders hasbeen their failing to study to shew thyself ap-proved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth,
leader therefore should
endeavor to culvate the
atude of the mixed life in order
to have a Holy Spirit led and acve
life of faith.
Victory is guaranteed
because Gods word
builds faith that causes us to

2 Timothy 2:15. Richard Higginson in hisbook, Questions of Business Life: ExploringWorkplace Issues from a Christian Perspectivebelieves that Christian leaders need to equip
their members with a wide range of workingtheology. The predominance of mediocrity inChristian businesses, churches and Christianministries is traceable to a misapplication ofthe principle of faith; the philosophy that
holds faith in an unseen heavenly realm, without focus on contemporary life applica-tion, completely but erroneously relying onsupernatural interventions, and thoroughlylacking in personal responsibility and thecommitment needed to achieve desired re-sults.
Whilst we must not rely on our plan-ning and skills solely, the importance of con-tinuous learning for a believer cannot be
over emphasized. 2 Peter 1:5 exhorts everybeliever to add to their faith knowledge, with the responsibility of leadership to createan environment for growth to flourish. For aleader to successfully apply God given strat-egies, he or she requires knowledge; and theemployment of both spiritual and naturaldisciplines such as, clear vision, articulategoals, proper management of time, diligencein obedience, faith, love, humility, integrity
and discernment to make full proof of thegrace imputed to us by faith through JesusChrist for victorious living.
A Christian must build faith in God
alone: In Galatians 3:11, the bible says: the
just shall live by faith . Hebrews 10:38 does
not only emphasize that the just shall live by
faith, but goes on to say that God will have
no pleasure in anyone who draws back from
faith. It is that serious! In Romans 1:16-17
the bible explains to us that the gospel is the
power of God unto salvation, and in it, is
righteousness revealed from faith to faith.
We cannot increasingly express victorious
faith and do exploits outside a sound, inti-
mate and ever increasing revelation of Gods
word. In one of the earlier articles, we men-
tioned the fact that a leader must develop
skills as is required for his/her assignment
so that he/she can lead effectively. As im-
portant and true as this may be, there is an-
other layer of truth. It is of equal or even
greater importance, that a leader must notshift confidence from God to people, places
or strategies. But in all, a leader must main-
tain confidence in the God of the people, the
God of the places and theGod of the strate-
gies!
As we commit to faith in God through apersonal intimate relationship with God by Hisword, I believe that we will experience Christsvictory in its full orbed dimension in all aspectsof life and Christian ministry, for such a time asthis.Shalom.

First of all, let me start by declaring each of eve-
ry one of you lovely readers a blessed and pur-
posed-filled new year!
I would like to start my write up with this arti-
cle I found on the internet entitled My Busy
Daddy
A man came home from work late, tired and irri-
tated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him
at the door.
SON: Daddy, May I ask you a question?
DAD: Yeah sure, what it is? replied the man.
SON: Daddy, how much do you make an hour?
DAD: Thats none of your business. Why do you
ask such a thing? the man said angrily.
SON: I just want to know. Please tell me, how
much do you make an hour?
DAD: If you must know, I make $50 an hour.
SON: Oh, the little boy

to your room and go to
g so selfish. I dont work
volities.
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the
door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier
about the little boys questions. How dare he ask suchquestions only to get some money? After about an hour
or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy
with that $25.00 and he really didnt ask for money
very often. The man went to the door of the little boys
room and opened the door.
DAD: Are you asleep, son? He asked.
SON: No daddy, Im awake, replied the boy.
DAD: Ive been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you
earlier said the man. Its been a long day and I took
out my aggravation on you. Heres the $25 you asked
for.
The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
SON: Oh, thank you daddy! he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some
crumpled up bills.
The man seeing that the boy already had money, start-
ed to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out
his money, and then looked up at his father.

Because I didnt have enough, but now
I do, the little boy replied.
SON: Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I
buy an hour of your time? Please comehome early tomorrow. I would like to
have dinner with you.
The father was crushed. He put his arms
around his little son, and he begged for
his forgiveness. Its just a short remind-
er to all of you working so hard in life.
We should not let time slip through our
fingers without having spent some time
with those who really matter to us,
those close to our hearts. I hope this re-
minds us all of how precious our time is
and that each moment is a blessing
from God, lets use it wisely.
Author: Unknown
This says it all really doesnt it? Iknow todays society is not what it
used to be some generations ago
where parents especially women did
not work long hours or work at all.
(and before you start getting offended;
I am not suggesting that women stay at
home). When I was growing up,
things were so different! Parents hadthe time to invest in their children. In
todays society, one would have to
make time to invest in their children.
Some parents are so overwhelmed that
they cannot even spend time with
their children when it comes to help-
ing them with their homework etc. The
truth of the matter is we have to make
time for these precious ones. In some
homes, where the parents are working
so hard to have the American dream
and (I know that some have to reallywork to make ends meet), what is hap-
pening with their children in the mean-
time. Some parents buy their children
all kinds of toys and nice stuff, think-
ing that will be enough for the child
Yes, parents, they like the gifts (for a
few months or even days) but the truth
of the matter is, they would rather haveyou. Children need both their parents
to be in their lives! Spend time with
them, teach them, show them the way
that they should go.
One must really know God and ask for
His help in this day and age to be able
to balance their lives. Who would have
thought children as little as 6 weeks are
sometimes in a day care for the whole
day? Again, I am not pointing fingers
at anyone. I am just saying to observe
how things have changed over the
years. And like I said in the last edi-

tion; who is looking after your child/
children? I once heard of a story and
this is a true story of a guy who used to
be a truck driver. He would be on the
road for a long time before coming
home. One day, his child asked themum, Mum, who is this man who
comes here sometimes? Needless to say,
the man quit his job. Again, I am not
pointing fingers at anyone. All I am
saying is do what you need to do to
make sure your are spending ample
time with your children. Some will go
to school the whole day, get home, set-
tle down and watch TV for the rest of
the evening then off to bed they go.
And the cycle begins all over the next
day and the next and the next.
You may argue the point that you have
to work to keep a roof over your heads,
feed these same children and clothethem. Trust me, I understand that. I re-
ally do, but on the other hand, we can-
not let others train our children for us.
Am I saying do not work, of course not
by all means work but like we make
time for everything else, let us take the
time to invest in them too. For when
all is said and done, the quality time
that we spend with them goes a long
way to make up for who they grow
up to be in life. There is an adage
that says charity begins at home
and that is just the truth!
Parents, someone is always spend-
ing time with your child, question is
who? I cannot emphasize that
enough please bear with me if I am
repetitive of this fact. Paul said in
the book of Philippians, to writethe same things to you, to me is not
grievous, but for you it is safe
(Philippians 3:1)
Remember, to a child, TIME spells
out LOVE and not necessarily all the
good toys etc. that you get them. So
enjoy the gift/s God has given you.
Spend as much time with them asyou possibly can. Ask the Lord to
help you find creative ways to spend
more ample time with your children
and remember that you can do all
things through Christ who strength-
ens you in Jesus name.

Hi everyone, Welcome to Prayer Corner. For this edition we have a beau
tiful piece contributed by Prophetess Esther Olunleye. Blessings as you
read.

A Man After Gods Own Heart
What does it mean to be a man after Gods heart? It certainly does not mean perfection because David was not a
ways perfect. It is not based on education, because David was a simpshepherd at the time of his anointing as king. It was not because Davcame from the ideal family because he did not.
To be a person after Gods own heart means to be of Gods kindred spirit, someone whom God can use and one in whom God finds special affinity and delight. It is someone who has the heart of a worship
per. It is a person that when confronted with sin, quickly confesses anhumbles himself before God. It is a heart that forgives others with thsame forgiveness received from God. It is a heart that is grieved by thsame things that grieves the heart of God.
To be a man after Gods heart is to become one who accomplishes the purposes of God in his/her generation; a person who understandthat they are called for a task. They know that it is all about God and noabout them. It is to this kind of life that God has called His people and calling His intercessors today. God is looking for more people to come ta place of total commitment in prayer and intercession. God is looking fo
you, YES YOU. And do not say I am not anointed to intercede or I amyet to feel the anointing for intercession. Remember that David waanointed king while just a young man but, a long time elapsed betweeDavids anointing and his actually becoming king. So if you are a boragain Christian, you are already anointed to pray. Begin to be obedient tthat anointing and you will find out that you can pray not just for yoursebut for others as well (which is intercession).
It is important to note that it does not matter the amount of timthat has elapsed from when you became born again to now and you havnot been praying as you ought. The anointing is there in you. As long a
you a person after Gods heart (as identified earlier) you can always rekindle the fire in you. There is a time for everything and a season for everactivity under heaven (Ecclesiastics 3:1). This is your season to becomand remain an intercessor if you have not been one before. It is importanto note that David thougha man after Gods heart, had to deal with manissues in his life which I have categorized here into the following seasons
The Season of Disclosure (Spring)During this period of time, the confrontation between David an
Goliath occurred as found in I Samuel 17. Davids defeat of Goliath anthe Philistines resulted in great victory for Israel. This heroic act mad

David a favorite of the people much to Sauls dismay. Daviddid not trust in his own ability or strength to confront Goliath, but confronted and defeated Goliath by his trust and confi-dence in Jehovah (God) not judging Gods abilities to per-form by what he saw (Goliaths intimidating presence) but byhis knowledge of The Lord God of Host God of Israel. This season was that of disclosure because David had toknow which power he trusted in; God or man. It was also aseason of spring because this knowledge made all thingsnew to the Israelites (they saw David, and God in him likethey never had before). This increased their trust in God.
The Season of Passion (Summer)David found himself from being a shepherd boy to
someone in the service of a king in the palace (I Samuel18). This season for David was of influence, affluence andfavor (I Samuel 18:5). This season is likened to that of sum-mer because it is a season of fruitfulness. David as it were, came into a season of recognition. His passion for thethings of God could not be mistaken. The greatest asset tohave in this season is to be humble and diligent, which Da-vid had, but yet the season bread an enemy in Saul.
The Season of Cave Dwelling (Winter)David experienced this season in his life when
eventually King Saul wanted David killed and made a num-ber of attempts. David was a fugitive for many years (ISamuel 19; 24 and 26) and many of his beautiful prayersand songs of worship were written during this period. Thisseason is likened to that of winter because David was in
hibernation (hiding). The winter seasons are usually a peri-od of no green vegetation, and that of hiding for many ani-mals. In one word, the winter season is usually a difficultseason almost for all living things. Do you identify with thisseason? Your situation may not be like that of David, butyou wonder and feel like why am I here? Be still, trust inthe Lord, stand firm and know t
hatGod is able to deliver you. He can take you fromobscurity to prominence (2 Samuel 2-5).
The Season of Stripping (Fall)
David went through this season in his life time whenAbsalom his son rebelled against him and he had to leavehis palace. He was also humiliated by Shemei (a member ofSauls family) who cursed at him and threw stones at himand his servants (2 Samuel 16:5-13). And again, do youidentify with this season though your situation is not like thatof David? Do you feel humiliated, deserted, betrayed, andyour faith questioned because you dared to believe God andtake a right stand with Him even in the face of adversity ortemptation? Be of good courage for you are never alone,
stand firm and know that this shall pass.
So what has all of these: Davids life and thedifferent seasons got to do with you being after Godsheart and intersession? A lot. It is my belief that David
was able to be called a man after Gods heart becausehe did not waiver on his belief and love for God despitethe different seasons he found himself in. He wasanointed king way before he actually became king, buthe did not forget the anointing that was impacted untohim. He did not allow the hatred of Saul to change whohe was, and become hateful like Saul. David respectedand feared God no matter what, even when he sinned,he was quick to repent. That was why God could per-form all that He did in Davids life. He took him frombeen a shepherd boy to been a great King.
So if you want to be a great anything for God,like David no matter what season you find yourself in,you must be prayerful, faithful, be driven by your loveand reverential fear of God and know fully well that theseasons of your life are not determined by man-madecalendar but by Gods decisions. And even if you madea mistake at some turn in life, God will turn it around foryour good, and the anointing which is resident withinyou will come out to enable you accomplish your Godsgiven purpose, especially in prayer and intercession as
long as you a are person after Gods heart.
Shalom

The Test of a Worshipper Part 2)In the last edition of our publication, we began to examine the life of Abraham as a wor-
shipper. You would remem- ber from the previous edi-
tion that the heart of a true worshipper will always be
tested against the heart of God. What this means is
that in your daily life of wor- ship, there are often going
to be times when situations and circumstances around
you demand of you an un- conventional response.
Those moments when you would need to trade in the
desires of your flesh for a smile on the face of your
Father. They are the mo- ments which call for com-
plete denial of your own self for the presence of the Hismajesty. And by the way, you will notice that those
times are when you are least prepared to handle such
situations. But it has to be those periods when your strength is at the lowest that your
chances of depending completely on Gods ability in you are at the highest.
Let's take a look at a key point in the life of Abraham as he underwent his "test of a wor-shipper."

PRAISE AND WORSHIP CORNER
When Terah, Abraham's father died, Godimmediately initiated his covenant with
Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). That covenantincluded bringing Abraham to a land ofpromise. Many years had gone by, and
Abraham was yet to come into the landGod promised him. In fact, things got a bitinteresting when Abraham got into an ar-gument with Abimelech's servants who"violently" took away Abraham's well atBeersheba (Genesis 21:25). You may findit ironic that Abraham at the time had thecovenant of a "land where God would showhim" (Genesis 12:1), but he found himselfin a situation where he wasn't even secur-ing a piece of land somewhere, but a wellhe had dug probably to serve as a source of
water for his family and flocks.
You would remember that even at the timeGod called him "the father of nations",
Abraham had no children to reference thepromise, and both he and his wife, Sarah,
were in no shape (biologically speaking) toproduce one. All they had was a prom-ise. One of the tests of a true worshipper isthe consistency in his/her worship whenall you have is a word of promise and eve-rything else around appears just to speakthe opposite of the word you have. Thetruth is that the manifestation of God'spromise to you has little to nothing to do
with where you are currently - geograph-ically, financially, emotionally, etc.), buteverything to do with the word of thepromise and your ability to believe it. The
question is can you still worship whenyou have a million dollar dream butstruggling to pay a cell phone bill to-day? Can you still worship even though30 years has gone by and what youknow God told you is yet to manifest? Can you still worship Him?
Note with me that as soon as Abrahamwas able to arrive at a settlement withAbimelech regarding the well, (Genesis21:22-33), he went right into worship:
"And Abraham planted a grove in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name ofthe LORD, the everlasting God(Genesis 21:33).
The test of a true worshipper will de-mand of him/her a high level of con-sistency. One of the most difficultthings to do is fall on your knees, raise
your hands and sing unto the Lord asong declaring His sovereignty while
you are having an unwanted reality oflife starring at you in the face. But youshould remember that this is exactly
what God expects and wants us to do.God is very attracted to the heart of
worship. And when He shows up inyour worship, for He always does intrue worship. His presence becomesthe only reality that matters.
The test of a true worshipper will
demand of him/her a high level of
consistency.
One of the tests of a true worship-
per is the consistency in his/her
worship when all you have is a
word of promise and everything
else around appears just to speak
the opposite of the word you
have.

The beautiful thing about being involved inministry is that you learn something newevery day. Sometimes you learn somethingnew about our loving and powerful God,
and sometimes, you learn about others andthe world around you. Most times, howev-er, you learn new things about yourself. Re-cently, it seems like every Sunday, the ser-mon is a personal mirror for me, bringingmy weaknesses and flaws to light. Alt-hough some people dwell in their shortcom-ings, I choose to use what I learn and makechanges in my lifeand Ive done so for thebetter! After all, what is the point of looking
in the mirror, seeing a flaw and not doinganything about it? Honestly, even withinthe short time Ive made these changes, I amstarting to see significant differences in mylife and those who know me well are seeingit too! Since it has been working for me(and Ive held you in suspense long enough)I thought I would share, just in case some-one out there may need it too!
For as long as I can remember, I have strug-gled with procrastination. No matter howmuch time I had to prepare for something, for some reason I would always put it offuntil the last possible nanosecond. I as-sumed that I would eventually grow out ofit, but in actuality, as Ive gotten older, myprocrastination has gotten worse! Althoughsome people may not see it as a big deal, itreally is! If you procrastinate a lot, you canattest to what Im saying. It is so much of abig deal that even procrastination is in theBible! Dont believe me? Check out Proverbs6:4 which states, Dont put it off; do it now!

You see, procrastination is like stepping inmud. If not cleaned up and taken care ofright away, it is possible to create a bigmess, tracking mud into EVERY aspect ofyour life. It affects people of all ages andcan come with a big price tag...literally. Forexample, have you ever borrowed a book

from a library? It is free to borrow as long asyou bring the book back to the library by thedue date. However, once you bring it back late, even if it is late by one day, there is a fine. Inthis scenario, a procrastinator would say tothemselves, Oh, Ill return it tomorrow. To-
morrow turns into two days, two days turnsinto a week. A week turns into months and be-fore you know it you have heaped enough finesto actually buy the book itself! Does this soundlike you? Lets take it up a notch for those ofyou who are in college. Your professor gives
you a syllabus at the beginning of the semesterso that you know when your exams are andwhen assignments/projects are due. Assum-ing you have an upcoming exam at the end ofthe week, it would be smart to study a little biteach day leading up to the exam. However,
procrastinators wait until the night before theexam to pull an all-nighter to cram. Chancesare higher that the person who studied earlierwould have a better result than the person whowaited until the last possible moment to study. Why? The procrastinator did not use his timewisely to review properly and ask questions onany concept that was unclear. Or even in thecase of submitting an assignment; when turnedin late, you may lose points for every day it is
lateprecious points that could be used as acushion for your grade in case you may havemade errors.
There are so many examples I can give you onthe dangers of procrastination, but the reality ofit is that its is a killer of dreams and opportuni-ties, a waste of precious time and money and itis a sin. James 4:17 states that it is a sin to know

what you ought to do and then do not do
it. Personally and honestly, procrastina-tion has caused me a lot of stress, missedopportunities, and has robbed me of peaceand my finances. However, Im so thank-ful for the Word of God. It has opened myeyes and now I have seen where I haveerred and have made steps towards beinga better person. Nonetheless, as I statedearlier, its one thing to HEAR the Wordbut its another thing to DO somethingabout it (another procrastination theme!)Start making those changes NOW!!! As aformer procrastinator (in Jesus name I amnot anymore), I know that it may be diffi-cult not putting things off as you may beused to, but it is not impossible! You cando it! Ask God for His help whenever youfeel laziness and procrastination creepingin, and He is able to see you through.
There! So now that Ive shared what Ive

We see the principle of the authority of the
spoken word begin to unfold in the very
first chapter of Genesis. And God said, "Letthere be light," and there was light (Genesis
1:3). The phrase, "and God said", God liter-
ally spoke the world into existence.
We know that Abraham understood that
God could speak things into existence. In
Romans 4:17 Paul writes that Abraham was
commended for his faith in that he believed
in God. (As it is written, I have made you a
father of many nations) in the presence of
Him whom he believedGod, who gives lifeto the dead and calls those things which do
not exist as though they did.
God has continued to exercise His authority
over this world. Two thousand years ago,
He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, part of
the triune Godhead, to redeem the world
from the curse of Adam's sin. And who is
Jesus? Jesus is the embodiment of the
Word of God. John described Jesus thisway:
In the beginning was the Word, and the
Word was with God, and the Word was
God. He was with God in the beginning . . .
The Word became flesh and made his
dwelling among us. We have seen his glory,
the glory of the One and Only, who came
from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1-2&14
God Has Delegated This Authority
We also see in Genesis, chapter one,
that after God, by the authority of His
word, spoke the world into being, He
then delegated that authority to Adam.
In Genesis 1:26 God said, ". . . let them
rule . . . over all the earth ...." By this
transference of power, God gave Adam
the right to literally rule over all the
earth. When God formed the beasts of
the field and birds of the air, He
brought them to Adam to see what he
(Adam) would name them. When Ad-
am named one of the four-legged crea-
tures with a long tail "monkey, lion
etc.," God let the name stand. Why?
Because He had relinquished authority
over the earth to man. (Genesis 2:19-
20). Out of the ground the Lord God
formed every beast of the field and eve-
ry bird of the air, and brought them to
Adam to see what he would call them.
And whatever Adam called each living
creature that was its name. So Adam
gave names to all cattle, to the birds of
the air, and to every beast of the field.
But Adam lost that authority to Satan

through sin. Satan was able to hold on to
that authority because of man's sinful state.
He had full power over earth until Jesus
came and took it back. Paul gives us a
glimpse of the "redemption ceremony" (it
was a ceremony just think about) Colossians
2: 13-15.
And you, being dead in your trespasses and
the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has
made alive together with Him, having for-
given you all trespasses, having wiped out
the handwriting of requirements that was
against us, which was contrary to us. And
He has taken it out of the way, having nailed
it to the cross.Having disarmed principali-
ties and powers, He made a public spectacle
of them, triumphing over them in it.
He (God) forgave us all our sins . . . He took
it away, nailing it to the cross. And (Jesus)
having disarmed the powers and authorities
(satanic kingdom) he made a public specta-
cle of them, triumphing over them by the
cross.
So Jesus has regained that authority for
those of us who are born-again. Thus, God,
through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus, has
restored that line of authority between Ad-
am and every believer. Authority to do
what? To use the spoken word to rule over
the world just as Adam did before his fall.
But what is the purpose of that authority? Is
it to rule over all the earth just for our self-
ish and personal benefit? No, not at all.
God delegated His authority on earth to us
so that we can use that authority to spread
the Gospel and to accomplish His purposesin every generation. And this is one of our
most powerful tools in that realm of authori-
ty? It is the same tool God used to create
the world, the spoken word! We are to rule
by our (Gods) words spoken about us.
Look at Jesus' words to His disciples:
"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this
mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,'
and does not doubt in his heart but believes
that what he says will happen, it will be done
for him." Mark 11:23
"If you believe you will receive whatever youask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22
"Ask and it will be given to you . . ." Matthew
7:7
We need to recognize our authority in the
spirit realm! Which is the same authority to
live by in this world. We need to meditate
on it. Then we need to act on it. Scripture is
full of statements that tell us of the power of
our words.
Solomon, the wisest of all men in his time,
tells us, "Where the word of a king is, there
is power . . ." Ecclesiastics 8:4 (I love this
one). Also remember, that Proverbs 18:21
says:
"The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
The bible says with great power the apostles
continued to testify to the resurrection ofthe Lord Jesus, and much grace was upon
them all (Acts 4:33). The power of their
words brought forth many miracles, sings
healings, deliverance and many were lead to
the Lord.
Yes, words do indeed have great power.
Know and use your authority.
