Inspection Practices - Boilers
and Pressure Vessels
December 20 - 22, 2017
3 - Day Technical Program
FAUJI FERTILIZER COMPANY LTD.

Course Overview
Boilers and Pressure Vessels:
Boilers and Pressure vessels are the most
valuable assets of any petrochemical and
process industry. Proper inspection
practices, as per industry standards, are
the key to keep these assets on stream
and extract their maximum useful life. Both
on-stream and planned outage
inspections not only help in maintaining
reliability of boilers and pressure vessels but
also enable plant management to decide
for timely replacement of these equipment
before causing unwanted plant outage
due to completion of their useful life.
The focus of this program is to provide a
comprehensive understanding of the
construction, design and inspection
techniques of boilers and pressure vessels
based on their service, materials, damage
mechanism and applicable NDT methods
as per applicable international codes,
standards and industry best practices.
Main Features:
Main features of this program are:
Basic understanding of design and
construction of pressure vessels and
boilers with sketches and internal
pictures.
Brief details of common materials used in
boilers and pressure vessels with their
benefits, limitations and alternatives.
Damage mechanisms applicable to
equipment of petrochemical industries
and their mitigation.
Inspection techniques with standard
practices and experience sharing.
Overview of NDT methods with modern
practices, acceptance criteria’s as per
applicable codes and standards and their
effectiveness and limitation
Relevant case studies of typical damages
experienced in petrochemical industry
Training Method:
Presentation
