• fast inspection facilitating scanning of large areas efficiently
Scanning speed up to 24m/min
• Sensitive to detection of local metal loss (smaller pitting)
Standard Setting from 5mm/10mm diameter from 10% wall loss
• Distinguishing external / internal wall loss
• “Semi quantitative” relative inspection technique
Inspection result in comparison to calibration
• Wall Loss Display in 10% step (in cases 5% step) classification in full range 0-100%
Standard colour coding
• Typical Accuracy +/- 10% (on fine tuned analysis +/- 5%)
• No need for liquid couplant , general cleaning necessary
• Wall thickness penetration capabilities up to 35mm/42mm (depending on magnetisation)
• Wall loss mapping in c-scan format, individual defects analysed by size and tabled,
matrix data possibility
• Allowing penetration of non electric conductive coatings (qualified to date 15mm)
& conductive cladding (qualified to date 4mm)

Subsea PEC Deployment
The SUBSEA PEC is a static measurement with capability to inspect through up to
200mm stand off (coating). Two sensors are guided to scan circumferentially and
axially along the pipe. Pipe Diameter Range 8” – 36 “
