Insight News

As of Jan 1, 2015 things in Mozambique have become progres-

sively expanded in that the demand for ABC training is explod-

ing.

In January I lost my dearest mother, she was 70 years old. She

lived in Rusape, Zimbabwe. It was quite stressful in that my

Mother died in Mutare Zimbabwe and I had to travel back to

Rusape with the body. This is a common situation here in Af-

rica in that a family member has to travel with a body to visu-

ally check it before leaving the origin and do another visual at

the destination to make sure nothing is missing. Being the old-

est living man child I was expected to speak at the funeral about my mother. Know-

ing my mother loved people I decided to give my

testimony on ABC thinking transformation.

Knowing my mother supported the betterment of

mankind this was an opportunity to give people

the tools to think outside their cultural box, and

for the betterment of Zimbabwe and Africa as

whole.

Back in Chimoio in Mozambique the IRI office is

busy with pastors and other professionals coming

for training in ABC -Thinking. Now keep in mind you and I both know that in Amer-

ica the word seminar is used but here in Mozambique we are just a bit simpler by re-

ferring to the seminars as ABC coaching. One thing IRI works at is to help the pas-

tors achieve the understanding of their own Identity. We

students, missionaries, military personnel, and government

officials, some come once a day, some 1 time a week and

others 4 times a week. I work with these people, coaching

them one on one as their schedules allow. One of the

things each of these people have brought to my attention is

the fact ABC thinking produces “True Truth” in how they

see themselves in this world and how they see themselves

in Christ. We at IRI call this direct identity. This empower-

ment is essential and here is why. As IRI has indicated in the

past newsletters many conceptual words are missing in most all

So with that said, “What is Direct Identity?” If we look at the

scripture, we have a huge example of what Direct Identity is.

April– Al will be traveling with Leonard, visiting the many villages Leonard has been coaching. When not traveling, Al and Leonard have a full schedule of coaching at the home office in Chimoio. Adding to that schedule are unexpected (but welcome) guest look-ing for further study. Jason is wrapping up his States tour, visiting with supporters and friends. His next scheduled trip is to Elim, Alaska this summer.

through ME.” This is I AM in Christ. The example set in the scriptures is specific. God

is direct to Himself as He is to Jesus as Jesus is direct to Himself as He is to man. Man has

to be direct to himself as he is to Christ. In other words, each

person needs to have direct relationship with Christ, not

through anyone else or anything.

Leonard and Al (Mozambique)

A recent update from Leonard: The IRI office is flooded with

Pastors to learn ABC-Thinking. The pastors are saying there

was something missing in the church. However, they are glad

they are now discovering the secret (the truth or biblical think-

ing) through ABC-Thinking! Even soldiers cannot resist ABC-

Thinking!

Greetings friends and partners! I’ve had a long

trip these last few months, traveling around the

U.S. visiting our supporters and partners, at-

tending missions conferences, and putting on

workshops. It has been quite a journey, rang-

ing from Washington state (where I live), to

Wyoming, Kansas, Colorado, Missouri, Okla-

homa, Montana, Nebraska, and even Texas. I

love travel, but that kind of running around is

beginning to tire even me out! Here’s a quick sum-

mary of the trip so far:

Norton, KS:

I stopped over for a quick visit to Norton Christian Church in Norton, KS where I was able

to have dinner with and talk to the missions board about the work IRI is doing. I was also

given the opportunity to speak briefly at the Sunday morning service. Thanks again to eve-

ryone at Norton Christian Church!

Grand Junction, CO:

Traveling west from Norton, I went to attend the

World Missions Conference in Grand Junction,

CO. While I was there, I had the chance to speak

at two workshops, and meet with representatives

from several other missions organizations. We

made a lot of great connections at the conference,

and look forward to going back to Grand Junction

again. Thanks to Clifton Christian Church for

hosting the conference once again this year!

Conference

DeKalb, MO:

After the conference, I headed back east to visit the DeKalb Christian Church in

DeKalb, MO. I was able to speak at the Sunday service and talk to many people after

the service about the work IRI is doing around the world. Thanks again to the mem-

bers of DeKalb for their hospitality and generosity!

Broken Arrow, OK:

Leaving DeKalb, I traveled south through Kansas City and Joplin to travel down to

Broken Arrow, OK. Northside Christian Church in Broken Arrow has been a long-

time supporter and friend of IRI, and one of our board members, David Center, lives

in the area as well. I was able to spend several days there, visiting with David and

meeting with various members of Northside. Thanks again to Northside for their hos-

pitality and enthusiasm about the work IRI is doing!

Lewistown, MT:

Oklahoma is a long way from Montana, but that was the next stop on my tour. After

passing through Kansas and Nebraska, I was able to stop for a moment at the Church

of Christ in Torrington, WY before heading on through Casper and Billings to reach

Lewistown, MT. First Christian Church in Lewistown

had requested that IRI put on a workshop so that the

church members could have an opportunity to see

what we are doing on the field first hand. The work-

shop was a full week long and was a great experience.

I was able to meet several members of the church, and

we spent days investigating ABC thinking and how to

think through building positive, direct, Biblical rela-

tionships with God, themselves, and their neighbors.

Thanks again to First Christian Church for sponsor-

ing this wonderful opportunity!

Everyone Else:

As of this writing, I am wrapping up the final day of the First Christian Church work-

shop. Once I am done here, I will be heading back home to Spokane. On the way

back, I will be stopping to visit with other friends of IRI. We have a lot of supporters,

and while I only listed the major churches and events I stopped at, my trip actually

included a lot more people and stops than just the churches. Along the way, I was

able to meet with several friends of IRI and of myself, personally. Time and space

doesn’t allow me to personally thank every family that provided housing for me dur-

ing my trip, nor the friends I was able to visit with along the way. In addition to the

places listed, I was also able to visit friends in Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, Joplin,

MO, and even Dallas, TX. A huge thanks to all the friends of both myself and IRI for

your support and interest in the work we are doing in Africa, the Philippines, and

around the world! God bless you all, and I hope to see you again soon!

A Note On Spiritual

Growth:

Many people assume that because

you are thinking (as we empha-

size in our teaching), you must be

less spiritually connected with

God. This could not be further

from the truth. In fact, the more

you understand someone, the

closer you get to them—this is as

true with God as it is with other

people. It is our belief that spiri-

tual growth without an increase in

understanding (through good

thinking) will inevitably plateau.

As our understanding increases,

however, so does our ability to

grow in Christ. The more you un-

derstand, the more God has to

work with, and the more you can

learn.

The greatest thing that you can do for Insight Re-sources International is to actively pray. We believe that Prayer is the corner-stone of this ministry and without it we cannot stand against Satan’s attacks.
