We had welcomed the holy month of Ramadhan this year by organising our 1st Charity Iftar with 35 less fortunate children from Bandar Tun Razak on the 3rd of August 2012. This event which was held at Kelab Tasik Putrajaya aims for us to lend a helping hand to those in need, other than strengthening the bond between eCEOsians and encouraging us to perform good deeds.

eCEOs CSR in Berita Harian

It was truly a meaningful day as we were able to meet those children with beautiful souls who were able to move us with their lively and cheerful spirit despite the hardship that they are facing. We have also invited representatives from Berita Harian to spend the day with us.

THE eCEOs SDN BHD

STAR Program TalentCorp eCEOs in the newsWe are pleased to announce that we have been approved to be part of The Scholarship Talent Attraction and Retention (STAR) program. This is a major milestone and a great achievement for us as eCEOs is the only local company to be selected for this program.

This program is a doorway for Government scholars to work and serve their scholarship bond with Malaysia’s leading private sector companies. It is currentlyopened to Public Service Department (JPA) scholars and Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) scholars who have graduated and wish to contribute to Malaysia’s growth and transformation.

Any publicity is good publicity, the saying goes, which makes free publicity even better. A mention in a newspaper, magazine or buzz on a blog can put our company on the map and help boost sales, in most cases, without costing a dime.

eCEOs was featured in New Straits Times 7 September 2012

We have attained to tap into a pool of talent that was previously inaccessible to us. This pool includes top talents from renowned universities around the world who will be able to greatly assist us in achieving our goals and as a result help to ensure the success of the company.

We received quite a number of media coverage during our last Riuh Rendang Raya open house, which definitely helped to expose our company to the public. These include coverage from Berita Harian on 18th September 2012, SME and Magazine on 20th September 2012, BERNAMA Online on 13th September 2012 and in the Selamat Pagi Malaysia program in RTM show which was aired on 16th September 2012.

News around

THE YEAR

In celebrating our new office branch in Wangsa Maju, we had organised a Fruit Fiesta and House Warming Party on the 17th of July. We were pampered with mouthwatering dishes, together with sumptuous treats by our own Mr. J and Abe Afifi, each presenting their signature dish being Nasi Lemak and Mee Rebus. We had also satisfied our cravings with a buffet of tropical fruits which came straight from the valley of the mountains, the haven sanctuary of foods.

International Business Seminar:Malaysia-US Business Opportunities

eCEOs in STAR MetroBiz

As a diversified economy and vast business opportunities country, Malaysia retains 3rd spot among the world’s top 50 global service locations for eight consecutive years. This makes Malaysia the world’s 10th most attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI).

With the purpose of seeking opportunities and business collaborations to position eCEOs and expanding our business in the fast growing markets in the ASEAN and Asia Pacific regions, we have participated in the International Business Seminar: Malaysia-US Business Opportunities last 15th October 2012.

Last 30th October 2012, eCEOs made it to the national headline on a 3-page cover story in The Star newspaper, MetroBiz section. Titled ‘The Timekeeper’, it reflects what eCEOs is all about - being a timekeeper of a project and standardising a timeline keeping system.

Mr. Jailani was interviewed by The Star’s journalist and had a chance to share with the readers an in-depth sight of eCEOs. We are proud to see how far eCEOs have come and we believe that the article is a great stepping stone for us to be known locally and internationally.

This seminar which was held in New York was organised by Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) in collaboration with US-ASEAN Business Council, US-ASEAN Business Council, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, United States Council for International Business, Business Council for International Understanding and Asia Society.

Apart from seeking potential business alliances in Malaysia and Asia Pacific, this seminar aims to update the attendees on the latest policies, incentives and facilities available for businesses in Malaysia. The key speakers for this seminar include His Excellency Othman Hashim (Ambassador of Malaysia to the United States), Mr. Amirsham Abdul Aziz (Chairman of MIDA), and also Mr. Marc P. Mealy (Vice President, US-ASEAN Business Council, Inc.).

From page 4The 2012 New Straits Times CEO and Celebrity Charity Tennis concluded successfully at the National Tennis Center at Jalan Duta courts on the 9th of December, 2012. A total of 26 CEOs and celebrities participated in the event that started around 8.00am and ended at 2.00pm. This year marks the 4th series of the event which is held for the purpose of bringing the CEOs and celebrities together not only to inspire a healthier living but also to raise funds for the underprivileged.

eCEOs were featured in 3 major newspapers namely New Straits Times, Berita Harian and Harian Metro as we announced our participation in this event as the joint organiser together with NSTP. Our CEO, Mr Jailani, also went on-air on the NTV7 the Breakfast Show together with NST’s Managing Editor, Datuk Nuraina as part of this event’s promotion campaign.

Our BI and Sharepoint consultants were able to showcase one of our services for the event; by developing a site for the tennis event to consolidate the name list of the players, registration and score board.

Players compete in five doubles matches each with different partners and those who accumulate the most points will be declared winners. Tabung Haji Board Senior General Manager of Corporate Finance, Mohd Hisham Harun, emerged as the overall winner with 23 points under the special format.

We managed to raise a total of RM 64,000.00 for the NSTP Charity Fund, to help young Malaysians with serious medical problems and at the same time generate interest among young Malaysians to pick up the sport.

Insight fromINDUSTRYJailani Mustafa, Chief Executive Officer of THE eCEOs SDN BHD

The year 2012 will always be remembered as the year of significant milestones for eCEOs. We are indeed grateful for the year has provided us the opportunities to be featured on major newspapers and television shows, placed us on a height of recognition as recipients of few awards and partnerships, and despite the challenges it showed us adequate business growth.

Coming year 2013, our focus remains in strengthening our position in the oil and gas industry as well as building the momentum in the telcos and government sectors. We are also planning to establish our position in neighbouring countries such as Indonesia and Singapore next year.

This year had shown a boost of image for eCEOs through our CSR initiatives such as Charity Iftar, Riuh Rendang Raya as well as NST CEO Celebrity Charity Tennis event. Moving forward, eCEOs aims to play a pivotal role in CSR initiatives both in Malaysia and within the region. We believe that it is crucial to fulfill the dreams of others while pursuing our own dreams, and we hope that our employees will also be encouraged to be involved in CSR initiatives at their personal level.

Since established in 2007, eCEOs continued to uphold its people oriented and intrinsic worth – the diverse working environment and the “work hard-play hard” culture. The recently introduced inter-house competition was a stepping stone for the employees to connect and at the same time practice a healthy lifestyle creating a work-life balance. As we are well aware, the company is expanding, following the rapid increase in our resources this year; and we want to see our young employees taking on important roles within the company and our projects.

I am confident that with the strategies, capabilities and commitment that has been put in place, we are well on our way in becoming one of the premier project management and consulting companies in the region.

Santai

We are more than happy hearing wedding bells ringing upon eCEOs and it gives us immense pleasure to convey our best wishes to all our employees who had their wedding in 2012. May your marriage be filled with all the right ingredients; a heap of love, a dash of humour, a touch of romance, and a spoonful of understanding. Congratulations on your wedding from us in eCEOs!

The best gift in life which fills your heart with oodles of love and joy; we are happy to congratulate some of our eCEOsians on the arrival of their newborn babies. May you and your baby lead a healthy life filled with happiness. A wise man once said, a coolest part about being a parent is catching a glimpse of yourself in your little one. Happy parenting!

Our remarkable business growth for the past years has led to the revamping of our website for the convenience of our existing and potential clients. The newly furnished website provides visitors with an overview of our company, our people, our services as well as other information. Feel free to tour around; your comments and suggestions are most welcome as we hope to further improve our website.

Last 21st November, eCEOs held its very first Media Appreciation Dinner to recognise the support of our media partners. We are indebted for their role as a support agent driving our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes initiated this year. eCEOs has been featured numerous times in the media - namely Berita Harian, SME Magazine, RTM 1 and most recently in The Star.

The dinner was a casual affair held at Monte’s BSC, where our CEO Mr. Jailani Mustafa and 13 honoured media associates attended the unprecedented event. After kicking off the evening with a presentation of our company’s montage video, Mr. Jailani proceeded to delivering his speech, expresing his gratitude to the media for their tremendous co-operation and support as well as sharing more detailed information about eCEOs and the services that we provide.

We hope that our good relationship with our media associates will be long lasting and beneficial for our future development.

A healthy mind comes from a healthy body. We strive for a balanced work life as well as encouraging interests in sports among our employees. As to bring out the excitement in the year 2012, eCEOs held our very 1st inter-house sports competition and had competed in games such as paintball and badminton.

The eCEOs Inter-house Sports Competition started off with the Paintball tournament that was held at Ali Durian King in Gombak. Despite all the verdicts, the Green Hornets managed to obtain 4 points to lead the table. Green Hornets came out victor as they won the final battle against Blue Dragon. Mighty Yellow edge passed Red Monsters in the other match to claim the 3rd place, which leaves Red Monsters at the bottom of the table for the competition.

“We won’t be able to win this tournament without everyone’s participation. The lads has done well. I would like to thank every single one of them” said Izdihar, Captain of the Green Hornets.

He also hoped that the win would be a good motivation for his team and everyone else to strive for champion for upcoming tournaments.

The second sport in the Inter-house sports league was held last 20th October 2012 where the athletes from four houses battled out in the badminton match! Coordinated by the eCEOs Sports committee, the tournament started with the slot drawing to determine the matches where all the players will take turn to pick their slot to play. After all the Chong Wei-inspired smashes and Lin Dan moves, we ended the tournament with the winners for each category as follows.

With the points from the badminton tournament, the Blue Dragon takes the lead in the Inter-house Sports League! To the houses that did not get to triumph in the badminton match, do not be discouraged! Train harder as next up in the sports league will be Futsal! So get your gears on and hit the futsal court!
