9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of thepolarization or grounding-type plug. Apolarized plug has two blades with one widerthan the other. A grounding-type plug has twoblades and a third grounding prong. The wideblade or the third prong is provided for yoursafety. If the provided plug does not fit youroutlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

10) Protect the power cord from being walked onor pinched, particularly at the plug and the point where it exits the ST-6012 amplifier.

11) Only use attachments / accessories specifiedby B-52 Professional.

12) Unplug the ST-6012 during lightning stormsand when not in use.

13) Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.Servicing is required when the ST-6012 has been damaged in any way such as whenpower-cord or plug is damaged, liquid hasbeen spilled into the amplifier, the unit hasbeen exposed to moisture or rain, does notoperate normally, or has been dropped.

14) To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose the ST-6012 to rain or moisture.

15) Moisture can damage the ST-6012 and cancause corrosion of electrical contacts.

16) Keep the unit out of extended or intense direct sun light. No containers filled with any type of liquid should be placed on or near the ST-6012.

17) Never remove the front or rear panels ofthe ST-6012 while it is connected to anelectrical outlet.

HEARING DAMAGE, PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE SPLB-52 Stealth Series amplifiers and speakers, including the ST-6012, are capable of producing sound pressure levels (SPL) sufficient tocause permanent hearing damage to performers, production crews or people in the audience. Hearing protection devices such ear-plugsare recommended. Caution should be taken to avoid extended SPL is excess of 90 dBA.

AMPLIFIER MODULE PRECAUTIONSDo not attempt to service the ST-6012 by yourself. Refer all servicing to a B-52 Stealth Series Authorized dealer. Service is required whenthe ST-6012 has had liquid spilled on or inside the unit, has been damaged in any way, has been exposed to rain or moisture, does notoperate normally or has been dropped.

ST-6012 60-WATT ALL-TUBE LEAD GUITAR COMBO!Thank you for choosing the B-52 Stealth Series ST-6012 combo. The B-52 ST-6012 isa feature-laden all-tube 2 x 12” open-backed combo with 60 relentless watts ripping throughtwo Celestion Vintage 30s. The ST-6012's foundation is outstanding tone, versatility andpower. Each channel - Clean and Overdrive - has its own set of gain, treble, mid and bassequalization controls for maximum flexibility. The Clean Channel goes from classic sparkleto serious crunch while the Overdrive Channel features two independent gain options. Gain1 moves from bluesy grit all the way to metallic shred. Switching to Gain 2 provides thesame wide tonal range as Gain 1 but with the addition of a contour control. The contour control adds or subtracts the all important mids, effectively producing three amazing soundsthat are all footswitch controllable! A 3-position rectifier switch adds even more versatility,offering Tube AB1, Tube A and Solid-State settings. ST-6012 - Front Panel Features & Descriptions

1. INPUT CONNECTOR - HIGH: Connects your guitar to theST-6012. B-52 recommends that you always use a cable that is screened or shielded. [Try both inputs and use the one that sounds best to you. Thebottom line is trust your ears!]

2. INPUT CONNECTOR - LOW: Connects your guitar to the ST-6012. B-52 recommends that you always use a cable that is screened or shielded.

3. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN 1: Adjusts the amount of distortion in Gain 1. (Activated LED indicates in use).

4. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN SWITCH: Push switch Selectsbetween Gain 1 and Gain 2 controls. Activated LED lights indicate which channel is currently use.

5. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – GAIN 2: Adjusts the amount of

distortion in Gain 2. (Activated LED indicates use). 6. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – CONTOUR: Adjusts the overall tone

quality of Gain 2 in the overdrive channel. Low contour settingsemphasize middle frequencies. A higher setting will notch the mid-range to produce the deep crunch sounds characteristic in most heavy metal type music.

7. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – BASS: Adjusts the amount of low frequency boost or cut as desired in the overdrive channel. Bassis B-52’s signature. Turning this control clockwise increases depth and low-end punch to your music.

8. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – MIDDLE: Adjusts the amount of mid-range frequencies as desired in the overdrive channel.Similar to the Clean Channel function, the O.D. Channel Middlecontrol adds body and punch to your sound.

9. OVERDRIVE CHANNEL – TREBLE: Adjusts the amount of high frequency boost or cut as desired in the overdrive channel. Turning this control clockwise adds clarity to your sound.

10. OVERDRIVE – VOLUME: Controls the overall signal level of the overdrive channel.

11. CHANNEL SWITCH: Push switch selects between the clean and overdrive channels. Activated LED lights indicate which channel is in use.

22. 3-SETTING RECTIFIER SWITCH:SOLID-STATE – Gives tightest low-end definition and fastestattack.TUBE AB1 – Punchy, warm and tighter definition than Tube A.TUBE A – “Vintage” attack and feel. Warmest sounding setting.

23. GROUND / LIFT SWITCH: Removes ground from the circuit to eliminate 60-cycle hum.

24. 16 OHM LOUDSPEAKER JACK: Connects loudspeakers(s) that require a 16 Ohm load.

25. EXTERNAL LOUDSPEAKER JACKS: Connects the ST-6012 to external loudspeakers such as the ST-412V orST-412S with a 4 Ohm or 8 Ohm load.

26. SPEAKER SELECT SWITCH: Allows you to select appropriate4 Ohm or 8 Ohm load loudspeakers. You must ensure that theswitch is set to appropriate impedance rating that matches yourloudspeaker. Note: Ensure that loudspeaker impedancematches the correct jack connectors.

27. FOOTSWITCH – REVERB INPUT JACK: Connectsfootswitch to turn Reverb On/Off.

33. LINE OUT LEVEL CONTROL: Controls the output level of the Line Out Level.

34. LINE OUT JACK: Connects the ST-6012 to an external line-level device such as a mixing board.

of the clean channel. Adjusting the volume control enables you toproduce sparkling clean sounds to crunchy, dirty blues. Lower settings will produce pure clean tones. Turning this control clock-wise will gradually produce moderate distortion.

13. CLEAN CHANNEL – BASS: Adjusts the amount of low frequency boost or cut as desired in the clean channel. Addingbass will increase the warmth of your sound.

14. CLEAN CHANNEL – MIDDLE: Adjusts the amount of mid-rangefrequencies as desired in the clean channel. Turning the middlecontrol clockwise will increase the amount of punch in yoursound. Setting the control all the way to the left will make yourmusic sound more hollow.

15. CLEAN CHANNEL - TREBLE: Adjusts the amount of high frequency boost or cut as desired in the clean channel. Turning the Treble control clockwise will sharpen your sound, alternatively, turning the control counterclockwise softens your sound.

16. REVERB CONTROL: Adjusts the amount of reverb produced bythe amplifier. To increase the amount of reverb turn clockwise.

17. MASTER VOLUME: Controls the overall signal level of the ST-6012. To increase the overall signal and/or volume, rotatethe control clockwise. The Master volume control allows you topreset the output levels of both the Clean and Overdrive Channels.

18. INPUT / PHONE JACK: Connects headphones to the ST-6012.19. STANDBY ON/OFF SWITCH: Allows the ST-6012 to remain

turned ON for limited periods of inactivity without the risk of damaging / over-heating the amplifier tubes. When the Standby switch is in the STANDBY position the ST-6012 is in a non-operational setting. When in Standby the tubes remain hot and ready for use. When the Standby switch is in the ON position the ST-6012 is operational and should not be left inactive. DO NOT turn on the ST-6012 or have the Standby switch set to ON without it connected to a loudspeaker.

20. POWER ON/OFF SWITCH: Turns the ST-6012 on and off.

B-52 CABINETS: E.T.I. Sound Systems, Inc. offers a LIFETIME warranty(effective January 1, 2002) to the original purchaser that a B-52's cabinetconstruction will be free from defects in material and workmanship. A datedsales receipt will establish coverage under this warranty. This warranty doesnot cover service or parts to repair damage caused by neglect, abuse, nor-mal & wear and cosmetic appearance of the cabinetry not directly attributedto defects in material or workmanship, or service, repair, modifications of thecabinet, which has not been authorized or approved by E.T.I. If this productis defective in materials or workmanship as warranted above, your sole rem-edy shall be repair or replacement as provided above.

This (5) five-year warranty does not cover service orparts to repair damage caused by accident, disaster, misuse, abuse, burntvoice-coils, over-powering, negligence, inadequate packing or shipping pro-cedures and service, repair or modifications of the component which has notbeen authorized or approved by E.T.I.. This warranty is in lieu of all otherexpressed warranties. The lifetime warranty on high-frequen-cy devices does not cover service or parts to repair damage caused by acci-dent, disaster, misuse, abuse, negligence, inadequate packing or shippingprocedures or service, repair or modifications of the product which has notbeen authorized or approved by E.T.I. This warranty is in lieu of all otherexpressed warranties. Adated sales receipt will establish coverage under this warranty. This warran-

ty will automatically terminate 90 Days after the original retail sales date.This 90-Day warranty does not cover service or parts to repair damagecaused by accident, disaster, misuse, abuse, over-powering, negligence,inadequate packing or shipping procedures and service, repair or modifica-tions of the amplifier which has not been authorized or approved by E.T.I..This warranty is in lieu of all other expressed warranties. RETURN PROCEDURES: In the unlikely event that a defect should occur,follow the procedure outlined below. Defective products must be shipped,together with proof of purchase, freight pre-paid and insured to theAuthorized B-52 Dealer from whom you purchased the product or directly toE.T.I. Sound Systems. If a product must be returned to E.T.I. Sound Systemsfor warranty replacement/repair, a Return Authorization Number must beobtained from our Customer Service Department prior to shipping the prod-uct.

NEVER RETURN THE ENTIRE CABINET__JUST THE DEFECTIVE COM-PONENT. Identify and remove the defective component. If you are uncertainwhich component is defective, or need directions for removing a component,please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance.Components which are a part of an original B-52 speaker box must be sentdirectly to E.T.I. Products must be shipped in the original packaging or itsequivalent; in any case, the risk of loss or damage in transit is to be borneby the purchaser. The Return Authorization Number must appear in largeprint directly below the shipping address. Always include a brief descriptionof the defect, along with your correct return address and telephone number.When calling to inquire about a returned product, always refer to the ReturnAuthorization Number. If E.T.I. determines that the unit was defective inmaterials or workmanship at any time during the warranty period, E.T.I. hasthe option of repairing or replacing the product at no additional charge,except as set forth below. All replaced parts become a property of E.T.I. Products replaced or repaired under this warranty will be returned viaground-shipping-within the United States-freight prepaid. E.T.I. is notresponsible for costs associated with expedited shipping, either toE.T.I. or the return of the product to the customer.

INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE: In no event will E.T.I. beliable for any incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use orinability to use of any B-52 product, even if E.T.I. or a B-52 dealer has beenadvised of the possibility of such damages, or any other claim by any otherparty. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequentialdamages, so the above limitation and exclusion may not apply to you. Thiswarranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rightswhich may vary from state to state.
