right when looking from the back)with a length of 30 inches fromjacket lance point to fusion pointfor first two cassettes. Length willdecrease 4 inches with each set ofcartridges to the left
3 Cut three sections from spiralwrap ½ inches each.6Pull the release tab in the
back of the cassette. Thenslide the cassette cover backwardsand lift it off as shown.

Remove 18 inches of cablejacket or sub-tube from fiber.8Place remaining long section
of spiral wrap over 1 or 2sub-tubes (dependent on fibercapacity of module 12 or 24)
7 Following recommendedinstructions for fusion splice
unit being used, Splice the pigtail tothe incoming fiber.
10Uncoil pigtail from insidesplice cassette and cut to 24

RSC Instructions
Gently slide spiral wrap fromstep 7 down exposed fiber
on distribution fiber side of splices.12Gently place fused fiber
sleeves in a cylindrical bun-dle. Secure with Velcro tie.
11Place two ½ inch sectionsof spiral wrap on 900micron pigtails to help
manage fibers.
14Leave approximately 2 inchesof exposed fiber from fusion
sleeves.13
Fiber loops should sit on bot-tom of the cassette as
shown above.16Carefully coil cable into the
Cassette as shown(coil shouldrest under pigtails at bulkhead)
15 Secure the incoming cable tothe floor of the cassette with
provided tie wrap utilizing the lancesas shown.
Use caution when tightening tiewrap to avoid damaging fiber.
18Place Velcro dot on side ofcassette to lock Velcro
wrapped splice sleeves.
If using ribbon version, VelcroCan be used to organize storage loopand then attached to Velcro dot.
17
A storage loop secured tothe RIC enclosure allows the
splice cassette to be removed fromthe from and opened for access.Securing Velcro should be releasedprior to cassette removal.
20Place cassette cover ontocassette as shown above (be
sure all fiber is clear and notpinched between the cover.) Pushthe lock tab in to secure the cover. Finally slide the cassette back intothe front of the enclosure tray.
