Digital pen

This digital pen is a computer invention that transmits writing into digital media.

Many professions hand-write their notes instead of using tablets or other devices.

The computer pen is comparable to a regular ink pen (even uses refillable ink) that writes on regular paper, except it has an optical reader that records motion, images and coordinates. The recorded data is then transmitted to a computer via a wireless transmitter.

You can browse and edit your written notes, diagrams, tables, or drawings. Features include profile creation, a dictionary and fifteen language options.

Another useful feature of this computer invention is that hand-written digital files can be easily converted into text fonts for use in word documents or emails.

Digital pen technology was first developed by the Swedish inventor and entrepreneur Christer Fåhraues.

This computer invention has been licensed to companies around the world for various commercial products. Applications include data/signature capture, completing forms, mapping, surveying, document management, paper replay, whiteboards, toys and education.

There are great expectations for digital pen technology over the next few years.

Smart box Technology

Insurance companies are implementing smart box technology so good drivers can benefit from cheap insurance rates.

The smart box, similar to a black box for airplanes, records details about how your car is driven, which can result in cheap car insurance for responsible drivers.

The device is connected to the electronics in your car and collects a wide criteria of information such as time, speed, braking, cornering, acceleration and location.

The smart box is wireless transferred in real time to the insurance company and provides a profile of when, where and how you drive.

For example, drivers are more likely to drive fast, drive at night. and use a cell phone while driving. Statistically, drivers are more likely to cause an accident so insurance companies charge them higher rates to cover the costs of accident claims.

All the information collected about your driving can be viewed online - including what you're doing well and what could be improved. Your insurance premium is then calculated according to your driving profile.

Inventors are the scientists at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, have created the world's first transparent computer chip.

The chip, known as (TRRAM) or transparent resistive random access memory, is similar to existing chips known as (CMOS) or metal-oxide semiconductor memory

The difference is that TRRAM is completely clear and transparent.

By integrating TRRAM with other transparent electronic components, we can create a total see-through embedded electronic systems.“

The technology could enable the windows or mirrors in your home to be used as computer monitors and television screens.

This technology is expected to be available within 3 to 4 years.
