The government is giving top prority on the sector, and is still encouraging private sector to come up with more investment in the field of poultry, Dairy, Fisheries, and Agriculture etc. There is acute shortage of animal protein in Bangladesh. Protein is one of the main ingredients of food items, which is very necessary for bulding up.as well as up keeping of good health. It is Mainly available in egg, Meat and milk etc. This protein deficiency in the country is mainly due to insufficient supply of food items link milk, meat, fish as well as low purchasing capacity of the consumers in comparison with the market price. According to nutrition sciertsts, per-capita peotein requirement per day should be 65 grams; at least one third,i.e.about 22 grams of the total requirement, should come from animale source, usually in the form of meat, milk, egg & fish etc. In Bangladesh average per-capita availability of annual protein is around 6.1 grams, of whice only 3 grams were from animale sources.
