Transcript of Initial ideas and notes for evaluation questions 3
Evaluation question 3What have you learned from your audience feedback?
We have learned what our target audience are most fond of and what they're not as fond of.
The majority of audience feedback we have received has been positive.
They have identified certain shots/angles they liked and thought that were effective but also highlighted their favourite parts. These included the bridge (the slow part) as this is clearly contrasting to the rest of the song, and the costume and make up in this part suits it well.
Our pop genre is easily identifiable.
Evaluation question 3 continued... They liked that we used a boy as they felt it suited the song and
lyrics. Her performance has been commended as it looks so natural as if
she is the real artist. Other positive comments were that they liked the use of close ups
as base tracks. Many people liked the projector scene as it suited the genre.
Evaluation question 4How did you use media technologies in the construction and research stages? Throughout the construction and research stages I
have used Blogger to document my journey from research to the construction. In the research stages I watched a wide range of music videos on YouTube, this helped me to see existing music videos and look at the conventions.
We used the internet to research Andrew Goodwin and Carol Vernallis which were crucial we took into consideration in our music video.
We have used the Macs to research and construct our music video.
Evaluation question 4 continued... Final Cut Pro has been absolutely vital during the construction
of our music video as we have used this to edit. Of course we've used the JVC camcorder to film our music
videos on, filming various shot types in several locations. We used an iPhone 5s to take still pictures for our ancillary
products. I have used a wide range of ICT to present my information
such as Slideshare, mind maps, emaze and many more. They've helped to make my posts more interactive and interesting.
