SLIKARICA TRENUTAKA U TRAJANJU

Više od jednog desetljeća na suvremenoj hrvatskoj likovnoj sceni prisutna je Ingrid Runtić, umjetnica

mlađe generacije. No, kad govorimo o ovoj umjetnici, prvo pomišljamo na njezine intrigantne tematske

cikluse koje je realizirala u raznim slikarskim tehnikama predstavljajući ih na svojim samostalnim

izložbama. A kada već ističemo upravo tu činjenicu iz njezina artističkoga curiculuma, i zbog toga jer se

kroz nju najbolje i legitimira, tada ipak trebamo reći da njezina zanimljiva i značajna slikarska osobnost

nije i jedina. Naime, riječ je o umjetnici svestranih interesa prepoznatljivih u različitim medijima u kojima

se autorski izražava (slikarstvo, scenografija, crtež…), a uspješnom se pokazala i kao spisateljica eseja,

putopisa, stihova… Pa ipak, kako naš interes za njezino svestrano umjetničko izražavanje raste, tako

istodobno primjećujemo da se ono slikarsko pokazuje najprisutnijim i najplodnijim. Ovome u prilog govori

i činjenica da je Ingrid upravo svojim samostalnim izložbama potvrđivala svoju slikarsku individualnost

kroz osobni kultivirani slikarski postupak izgrađivan na klasičnim likovnim premisama. Dostatno je

spomenuti tek neke od njenih ciklusa, primjerice «Vidokruzi» i «Vremeplov», u kojima je kultiviranim

slikarskim postupkom jasno markirala svoja tematska polja. A upravo će na tim, kako ih ovom prigodom

nazivamo - tematskim poljima - biti i slikaričina iznimno plodna žetva. U već spomenutoj njenoj

svestranosti u korištenju različitih medija tek smo naznačili izrazito snažnu crtu intelektualne radoznalosti

koja se manifestirala i u brojnim različitim tematskim interesima.

Stoga njezinu pozornost jednako privlači južnohrvatski krajolik u raskošnom planinskom masivu Biokova,

uvijek magično morsko plavetnilo, scena s plaže za toplih ljetnih mjeseci, kao i svakodnevni prizori s ulica

Beča, Zagreba i Venecije, ili će se, pak, u velikom istraživačkom zanosu uputiti «u traganje za izgubljenim

vremenom» rafinirano prebirući po sjećanju te oslikavajući proustovskom melankolijom psihološku

slojevitost minulog događaja u jednom vremenskom trenutku.

A upravo tu, u tom fenomenu trenutka, za Ingrid Runtić i počinje pravi intelektualni i slikarski interes

kojega ona osebujnim postupkom problematizira u novoj seriji slika.

Naime, i sama umjetnica precizira taj svoj interes apostrofirajući ga, u prolaznoj vremenskoj «vrpci»

u jednom njegovom segmentu, u «kadru» trenutka koji se, «uhvaćen» u mediju njezine slike, «memorira»

neprolaznost umjetničkog djela. On je u slici izgubio prvotna svojstva te ih u autoričinoj interpretaciji mijenja,

tako da taj trenutak biva zaustavljen u sada već drugačijim svojstvima u kojima svjetlo vječnosti počinje

oblikovati njegovo zagonetno lice.

Više je puta rečeno da je pjesnik «genij sjećanja» i da se u njegovom djelu prepoznaje minuli život kao

neprolazni trag postojanja «obojen» specifičnostima toga razdoblja, graditeljstvom, estetičkim postulatima,

modom i sl.

U svom oblikovanju trenutka Ingrid Runtić osobitu pozornost pridaje, kako sama kaže, «prostoru i vremenu»

obasjanom svjetlom slikaričine interpretacije. Stoga u njezinom «kadriranju» trenutka te u njenom izboru motiva

i situacija, iščitavamo prvenstveno intelektualni čin kojim precizira intelektualno i estetsko stajalište na kojemu

gradi osebujnu likovnu poetiku.

THE PAINTER OF THE MOMENT IN DURATION

Ingrid Runtić, an artist of the younger generation has been present on the Croatian contemporary art scene for more than a decade. However, when we talk about this artist, primarily we think of her intriguing theme cycles, realized in different painting techniques. And when remembering and emphasizing this very fact from her artistic curriculum, which identifies her the best, we have to say that this interesting and important artistic individuality is not the only one she has. Namely, we are speaking about an artist of versatile interests recognizable in many different media used to express herself artistically (painting, stage design, drawing...), and she turned out to be successful in the literary media as a writer of verses, essays, travelogues...

Nevertheless, since our interest in her versatile artistic expression is growing, we notice simultaneously that the painting is the most present and the most productive field of her work. Another fact standing in favour of this is that Ingrid, with her one-man exhibitions, confirmed her painting individuality through a cultivated painting procedure of her own, created upon the classical painting premises. It is quite sufficient to note only some of her cycles, for example, "Horizons" and "The Time Machine" in which she marked clearly her thematic fields by a cultivated painting procedure. And it is on these, on this occasion named thematic fields that the painter will have an extremely fruitful harvest. Considering the already mentioned painter's versality in the use of different media, we just indicated this exceptionally strong character of the intellectual curiosity manifested in numerous and different thematic interests.Therefore, her attention is drawn equally by South-Croatian landscape of the magnificent mountain massif of Biokovo, always magic sea blueness, a beach scene during hot summer months, as well as everyday images from the streets of Vienna, Zagreb and Venice, or thrown into a great research ecstasy, she will engage "in the search of lost time", gently going through the memories and painting, with the melancholy of Proust, the psychological stratification of a past event in a single moment in time. And, for Ingrid Runtić, it is precisely here, in this moment phenomenon, where the real intellectual and painting interest begins. She will problemize it in a new painting series using a very peculiar procedure. Namely, even the artist herself specifies her interest by apostrophizing it, within the passing time "line" in just one of its segments, in the "shot" of the moment, which "captured" in the media of her painting is "memorized" inside the immortality of the artistic piece of work. Inside the painting, the moment loses its original characteristics. By her interpretation the author changes them, so that the moment is "stopped", already having different characteristics in which the light of eternity starts forming its mysterious face.It was said for many times that a poet is "a genious of memories" and that inside his poems his earlier life can be recognized as an imperishable trace of existance "coloured" by the period pecularities , in architecture, aesthetic postulates, vogue,etc.In the formation of the moment, Ingrid Runtić pays special attention, as she said herself, to the "space and time" illuminated by the light of the painter's interpretation. Therefore, from "the framing" of the moment and in her choice of motives and situations, primarily an intellectual act can be read. The author uses it to specify her intellectual and aesthetic point of view, which stands as a basis of her singular artistic poetics.

Trenutak u trajanju

Slikarski zabilježiti trenutak, njegovo svjetlo, tamu i boju u prostoru, nije samo postupak otimanja vremena

zaboravu, već prvenstveno čin posvajanja scene krajolika i ulice te stvaranja nove slike emotivnog

doživljaja iz danih oblika koji su nam dostupni i prepoznatljivi. U ovim slikama odbacujem vrijeme,

poništavam njegove konotacije prolaznosti slikarski ga materijalizirajući. Ukazujući u nazivu slika na

paradoks našeg dogovornog poimanja vremena, navodeći mjesec, sat, minutu i prostor vizualne zabilješke,

želim usmjeriti pažnju na podudarnost, raznolikost, vječnost te raskoš trenutaka u prostoru i vremenu.

Vrijeme je za mene samo površina moga platna. Tek njegovim oslikavanjem ulazim u dubinu i beskraj

doživljenog prostora.

A Moment in Duration

Noting a moment in a painting manner, its light, darkness and colour in space, is not only an action of

saving the time from oblivion, but primarily, an action of adopting a landscape or a street scene and

creating a new image of an emotive experience out of the given forms, available and recognizable to us. In

these paintings I renounce time, I quash its connotations of ephemerality by materializing it in a painting

manner. Suggesting in the painting titles the paradox of our agreed concept of time, and indicating the

month, hour, minute and place of the visual note, I want to draw the attention to the equivalence, diversity,

eternity and luxury of the moment in space and in time. For me, time is just the surface of my canvas. It is

only by painting that I enter the depth and infinity of the experienced space.

B i o g r a f i j a

Ingrid Runtić je rođena 8. lipnja 1967. godine u Osijeku. Od svoje druge godine živi u Zagrebu

gdje je 1990. diplomirala studij slikarstva na Akademiji likovnih umjetnosti u klasi

profesora Jordana. Član je HDLU-a od iste godine.

Po završetku studija u Zagrebu odlazi na stipendiju u trajanju od godinu dana na Akademiju

likovnih umjetnosti u Beču gdje je i magistrirala 1992. kod prof. A. Lehmdena i A. Brauera.

Istovremeno sudjeluje u organizaciji i prijevodu pri Konferenciji za medije istočnih i srednjoeuropskih

zemalja u Beču te djeluje kao korespondentica i konzultantica redakcije vijesti na državnoj austrijskoj

ORF. Godine1994/95. radi kao slikar i scenograf u slikarskim radionicama Austrijskih državnih kazališta

(Elfriede Jelinek: «Raststaette»), piše predgovore te otvara izložbe svojih kolega, slikara Waltera Strobla

i kipara Gorana Štimca. Esejom «Izložbeni Beč na razmeđi tisućljeća» sudjeluje u Novigradu 1997. na

međunarodnom skupu «S koje strane granice». U suradnji s Austrijsko-hrvatskim društvom iz Beča radi na

katalogu i postavu izložbe «Tragovima Hrvata u Austriji» u Beču i Zagrebu (HNK).

Ingrid Runtić je i majka dvoje djece.

Živi i radi kao samostalna umjetnica u Zagrebu te vodi seminare o slikarstvu na privatnim akademijama

u Beču, Grazu i Linzu.

Njezine se slike nalaze u privatnim zbirkama te u javnim institucijama u Hrvatskoj i inozemstvu.

Biography

Ingrid Runtić was born on June 8, 1967 in Osijek. Since she was two she has lived in Zagreb where she graduaded

from the Academy of Fine Arts (painting) in professor Jordan's class in 1990.

She has been a member of the Croatian Association of Artists since the same year.

After the graduation she got a one year scholarship on the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna where she won a

master´s degree in the classes of professors A. Lehmdaen and A. Brauer in 1992. In the same period she took part

in the organization and translation at the Media Conference for East European and Middle European Countries in

Vienna, where she worked as a correspondent and consultant for the news editorial on the Austrian national

television ORF. In 1994/95 she worked as a painter and stage designer in the painting workshop at the Austrian

national theatres (Elfriede Jelinek: "Raststaette"), she wrote prefaces and inaugurated her colleagues? exhibitions,

painter Walter Strobl´s and sculptor Goran Štimac´s. In 1997 she took part in the international conference "On

Which Side of the Frontier" in Novigrad with the essay "The Exhibitional Vienna at the Turn of the Millenium". In

collaboration with the Austrian-Croatian Society from Vienna she worked on the catallogue and the set up of the

exhibition called "Following the Croatian Footsteps in Austria" in Vienna and Zagreb (Croatian National Theatre).

Ingrid Runtić is a mother of two children. She lives and works as a free-lance artist in Zagreb and holds painting

seminars at the private academies in Vienna, Graz and Linz. Her paintings are kept in private collections and in

public institutions in Croatia and abroad.
